How to Integrate two instances on Oracle Cloud
    Content:

We have two instances on Oracle Cloud, on one instance we have linux and Oracle database installed on it, and on the other instance we installed Windows Server. We are not able to communicating between linux instance and windows server instance in Oracle Cloud. We are successfully communicating between On-Premise Oracle database using RMI with other application installed on Windows Server. But the same thing is not happening on Oracle Cloud.

Both Linux Instance and Windows Server instance are in the same region and same Virtual Cloud Network (VCN). The public IP and Private IP's of these two instances are different.
We have defined ingress rules with source IP and destination port.

In the agent log it shows the following:

Is it necessary to have an instance of OGG to perform this configuration?

ODICS Linux Cloud Compute Disk Image - ADW/ATP Dataserver...

    Title:
ODICS Linux Cloud Compute Disk Image - ADW/ATP Dataserver Setup
    Summary:
    No Instance List
    Content:

    Hi,

I am provisioning a ODICS instance from the Cloud Market Place.

I have created the compute instance disk image with ODI installed on it on a Linux OS.

I have created a Autonomous Data warehouse to load data into and connected to this with SQL Developer.

I wish to create a data server to this ADW in ODI.

I have created a dynamic group and policies on OCI to allow the compartment with the Linux instance to read the data warehouse.

i am then entering a URL to setup the ADW/ATP Data server via the webapp UI but I am getting no instances to choose from.

I am using the Linux instane hostname as the <IP address>

    Please can you help?

    I am using this guide.https://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/fusion-middleware/data-integrator/12.2.1.3/odimp/getting-started-oracle-cloud-marketplace.html#GUID-2FE96CB3-E24A-4B76-A02E-E417B4D027E0

from the section called, Configuring ODI for Autonomous Data Warehouse (Optional).

    Please can you help?

    Kind Regards,

    Mark

    DIPC Remote Agent RegistrationAnswered5

    DIPC Remote Agent Registration
    Summary:
    Problem with Registration
    Content:

    Hi,

I am trying to setup Data integration Platform Cloud.

I am following the guide which instructs me to download the agent package from the platform. I have done this for windows.

When I run the dicloudConfigureAgent.bat or .sh for Linux file, I am prompted for some parameters. I could not see how to add the parameters into the file, as mentioned in the guide. I enter them and the program creates an agent instance. When I go into this instance domain / folder I only see one sub-folder called, Conf, but there should be a bin sub-folder with the startAgentinstance.bat file within it. This has not been created. I expect that I have not entered some parameters properly. One guide mentions that a cloud username and password is required but I am not asked for those from the program. Please can you help?

    Kind Regards,

    Mark

    Hello Folks,

Is DIPC a new way of having ODI in cloud? IS ODIcs still available to be installed in PaaS provisioned JCS?

What is the high level difference between DIPC and ODIcs?

    multiple agents possible ?
    Content:

as I understand ODI from marketplace comes with its own embedded repository (which is not Oracle database, but mysql).

in such a case  is it possible to install multiple agents in various other compute instances, but using the same repository ? if yes, how exactly ?

    thank you

    Load into Fusion applications1

    Title:
    Load into Fusion applications
    Summary:
Using ODI to load data in Fusion
    Content:

With reference to a previous post - would like to clarify if ODI / DIPC can be used to create files in FBDI / HDL etc...compliant format , placed in a UCM location and trigger an ESS job

    https://blogs.oracle.com/dataintegration/oracle-data-integrator-odi-to-load-into-fusion-applications-oracle-erp-cloud

Above post refers to such a use case - However all the research that we have done points to the fact that target web service execution is not supported in DIPC

What is the solution then? use ODI - on Prem? Is ODI - CS still offered as a service or is the same product now called DIPC ? Please help clear the ambiguity.

    Thanks

    Title:
    Integration Usecase
    Summary:
On Prem DB to SaaS Integration
    Content:

    Dear Experts,

We are evaluating PaaS offerings to implement the following Integration use case :

Integrate transactional data from an On-Prem MS SQL Server DB to Fusion Cloud ERP. We expect the load to be heavy ( 150K transactions daily) and are considering ODICS to implement it . Additional requirements include field level validations before submitting payload to Fusion webservice.

Is this doable in ODICS or is OIC recommended( There may be a need for certain amount of orchestration)

    Kindly advise

    Regards,

    Raghvendra
