Hi Gurus,
We are trying to assign activity to the technician's inventory nearby location rather than assigning based on customer location. My one of the option is to push lat and long details of the the inventory location. Will that be helpful for routing that that activity to the technician who are nearby that coordinates.
If any, can someone suggest idea to achevie this solution.
Thanks,
Madhu
I have seen a few similar posts in the past, but not any definitive answers or solutions.
Our subsidiary averages 4% coordinates found on addresses. This is a government level issue and address verification will not be immediately resolved.
As a work around, each technician/group has a personalized work zone. Within each work zone, communities are grouped by terminal (like GR 10, GR 5, ...). We write the terminals to the 'address' and enabled visit functionality with 'address' as bundling key. Unfortunately, we still have activities autorouted that are not grouping the terminals (addresses).
For example; Activity1.address = TB4, Activity2.address = TB4, Activity3.address = TB7, Activity4.address = TB7, Activity5.address = TB4
This seems to be due to some algorithm that Oracle developed for routing by address. The postalCode is also not used, so I have recently started writing the terminal to the address and postalCode. Has anyone developed a routing profile to give preference to bundling and reduce weight of found addresses?
Any with this problem?
I need to eliminate job skills and capacity categories but it shows me the following message:
https://www.screencast.com/t/SIV4QosOVP5
Is there a reason why even if they are deactivated, no technician has them, no time interval using them cannot be eliminated?
Hi,
I have setup the Visibility in User Types screen for Routing since by default is not there. Still it is not visible and I am using admin user. Do we need to setup anything other than visibility to view the Routing? Dispatch also not visible.
Thanks,
Mohan
What are the steps to take to have routing assign a work order to the same technician that was assigned to the first one and had attempted the work order previously?
My customer has looked at the data, and we believe this could have positive impacts on their completion, duration, and customer service for jobs that require 2 truck rolls or more. These improvements should help increase profitability by eliminating additional truck rolls and reducing time spent on site. Obviously the system could not guarantee the same tech would roll, but there is room for improvement as it only happens 33% of the time currently.
Hi....
In toa mobil is there a possibility that the technician can move the orders and organize the route?
That is, the technician has a list of 60 orders, and he wants to be able to put order in them, to start them at his convenience, by proximity between one and the other.
This is possible?
HI
I have a query, is it possible to modify the field content of an activity that is already started?
That is to say if the order was initiated, and through an API (for example) I can update the notes of the order (which is initiated)
Thank you.
Our client handles suspended orders that can go several days without attending.
We need to be able to separate these orders from their original buckets and pass them to another one called "suspended" or something similar without routing taking these orders into account.
They are currently handled in a bucket but, routing when considered, it obviously routes them again.
The client needs to be able to locate in some type of resource the orders that are suspended and that are not routed by the system. They will manually locate them in the corresponding technician.
This is possible ?? Is there any alternative?
Thank you.
Hi OFSC Guru's,
I need documentation or step by step guidance on how to clone an instance. Help would be most appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone,
I explain better the customer requirements:
The OFSC have to choose the correct warehouse activities (linked with the activity) in according with the technician route and travel time optimization.
I create four warehouse activities (there are four customer warehouse, with coord x, y) linked (link start/before) with the customer activity that needs inventories. Obviously, Routing assign first the four warehouse activity, and, at the end the "customer" activity.
Is possible to cancel, delete, or put in not-ordered the last (or the first) three warehouse activity with an "automatic process"? I thought to message scenario, but i don't know if i can "write" code (a banal if) in the body of message with "set property" deliver channel.
Thanks all
Domenico
