Hi Gurus,
As per OFSC functionality we know that the past activity cannot be moved or cloned. That particular activity will stay in the technician bucket forever.
Is there any way to move the past activity. In our customer scenario the technician may not start the activity in the allocated day. In case if he misses to reschedule the activity what are the cases to clone/move the activity to the current date without making the activity to stay in past date without any response.
Thanks,
Madhu
We have a use case where an external system should get an alert/intimation before creating activity on OFSC if the job does not fit on any of the tech schedules.
For example: If we select a slot of 5 PM - 6 PM and the duration of the activity is 1 hour. We have no tech on the field service side, who is working after 4:30 PM, so how can we get this type of information from field service (no tech is available).
I have tried "findMatchingResources" API, It's returning all the techs in the response.
Hi....
In toa mobil is there a possibility that the technician can move the orders and organize the route?
That is, the technician has a list of 60 orders, and he wants to be able to put order in them, to start them at his convenience, by proximity between one and the other.
This is possible?
Hi Community,
It would be great if anyone could send me the sample operations manual on Oracle Field Service Cloud.
Thank you.
Our area Level buckets receive unscheduled activities and Area Managers Scheduled them manually by assigning team of resources. For example 02 Operators and 02 Trucks or 02 Operators and 1 Truck. They need to do it on runtime when the activity arrives from Sales Cloud. Currently we are looking the best practice to create Teams to accomplish this requirement.
Currently in Resource Tree we can create teams on runtime by dragging and dropping a Truck or an Operator to Main Operator but once we do that it opens new activity screen. We are having following problems due to this:
There are few questions i would like to know about:
Thanks
Apart from the route assigned to each technician we would like to have a pool of low priority activities common to all the technicians of the group. They should be visible and available to all so whenever technicians have the time or pass by a certain region they can check them, pick one and start it.
Do you have any ideas on how we could implement that?
There is one idea about having a different bucket for all these low priority activities, visible to all resources. But I think that this wont be very practical to switch back and forth between technicians route and the bucket. Also I dont see a way to see the technician's route and the other bucket's activities on the same map view.
We were also checking the teamwork functionality but as far as I understand it, this is something that is done by the dispatcher and has to do with a specific activity only.
I am trying to evaluate Oracle field service cloud for the out of the box functionalities, its limitations and customization options. So far i know following:
Features:
Customizations :
No real customization option available other than plugin which is just like calling outbound webservice.
Limitations:
Dear experts, please can you extend the list and also make corrections of mine? thanks
Hello all! We are working with the new application screens for the dispatcher role.
Has anyone found how users can edit route activation/deactivation times - activity start/end times etc? I am wondering if we have something misconfigured or if this is not possible when working with application screens.
We are trying to switch to using Mobility instead of Legacy Manage for Dispatchers since this is what is advised from Oracle regardless of the user type. I have some questions about the Manage screen since compared to the standard Dispatch Console, Manage seems to lack some possibilities:
We have added actions such as activate route from the Resource hint configuration (this is the only place which it seems that can be configured in Manage). But the only things that we can still do from the Resource hint is use the resource info and resource route buttons.
https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/19a/famcu/working-with-time-view-in-mobility.html#c_aboutResourceHints
So these actions are available for using them from the configuration but does not actually display?
We are setting up the activity search (from Business Rules) and we have noticed that it does not work with the activity id (aid). Otherwise the search is functional even with custom properties.I searched the documentation
https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/19a/faadu/configure-oracle-field-service-cloud.html#t_define_search_fields_for_core_manage
https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/19a/faaca/dispatcher-activities.html#t_searchforactivity
and did not find any mention that it only works for certain fields or if it need some sort of extra configuration. Does anyone know how this works or can verify if that is not supported?
