    Hello OFSC community. A few have asked me about using the data migration and management tool I built for OFSC. Apologies if I didn't respond, I have just been very busy. I'd like to open source the project, that way we have the best chance of keeping up with the rapid pace of development, and it starts to build a free and healthy open source culture in the community.

    I have some other projects I'd like to open source, including a collaboration event triggering system for the new 19B patch, which I'm very excited about.

    I'm keen to learn if there are others in the community who invest any of their time in an open source group. It would also be good to connect with users, both those who have some spare time to help test, document, and who would like a voice in driving an open source roadmap supplementing OFSC's fantastic capabilities.

    I put a lot of thought into making the data loader as dynamic as possible, which means that it has features like synchronisation with the metadata API, so the moment you add a new field in OFSC, it is available in the tool. I'm working on tools to batch load testing/dummy data for easy routing trials!

    I have a couple of points to iron out on deployment and security with the help of the OFSC team, so if anyone would like to get early access then please get in touch.

    Hi Experts,

    We need to notify technician 30 mins before end of sla end time via collaboration window. 

    We have tried with "SLA Window Warning" launch condition, but it seems to be triggering at the time of SLA end. We do not see an option to trigger it 30 minutes before end of sla time.  

    Document says that we can set threshold parameter but not sure where to set it.

    " Configure this trigger using the threshold parameter ( hours/minutes) near the SLA window warning trigger selector on the Notification Triggers screen. It defines the number of minutes before the end of the SLA window that is used in the condition. "

    Could you please let me know your comments if someone implemented this scenario. Thanks in advance.

    Hi OFSC Guru's

        Can any of the Guru's of OFSC tell, if there is any compatible tool's available to monitor OFSC like number activities for the complete day ( with the status transition) through which we can build customized reports, for better understanding. We need for Routing, how many routing plans have been run throughout the day in the form of % . WorkOrder per regions, As per i know we do not get the access to the OFSC DB so we can query the DB and get the results. If we can monitor the network, if OFSC is running slow. 

    Please provide some solution regarding this, as we need to monitor many of the fields.

    Good afternoon, By business policies, the client needs to be assigned 50 orders daily to their technicians. Is there a kind of counter that we can enable ?. The general context is the following: A technician has to solve a maximum of 50 orders during the day (some can be canceled by different concepts) but you should always be able to finish 50 orders at the end of the day. Help me with your suggestions or recommendations please. Thank you.

    Dears,

    I would like to set activity standard status to "cancelled" when custom property "SubStatus" has been changed to "Reject and Cancel".

    Is it possible to trigger message scenario based on custom field change and modify activity status.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Note: I believe using subscription we can achieve this behaviour but looking for some inputs related to triggerring message scenario based on custom fields.

    Dear Experts,

    I understand that the jeopardy notifications or Remainders can be sent to Field Engineers based on OOTB message scenario launch conditions.

    We have created few custom status values using custom property. Now we have a scenario where we need to send alerts/remainders to Field Engineers when the custom status transition is not happening in the expected time period.

    For E.g, Send Remainder notification to engineers when status is not changed from OnSite (Custom Status) to InProgress (Custom Status) within X number of minutes. 

    Any suggestion or idea would be really appreciated.

    I am trying to evaluate Oracle field service cloud for the out of the box functionalities, its limitations and customization options. So far i know following:

    Features:

    • Activity Setup & Management
    • Inventory & Resource setup
    • Forecasting
    • Routing rules
    • Mobile application
    • Notifications ability

    Customizations :

    No real customization option available other than plugin which is just like calling outbound webservice.

    Limitations:

    • Limited to 04 entities only.
    • Cannot define custom entity
    • Cannot mention which services items technician is going to deploy on the customer site (e.g. Activity to Service Items relation: 1:M)
    • Cannot write script behind custom buttons
