Please can anyone guide how the cache is managed for IOS/Android mobility apps? If I take a picture and attach it with a mobility form then it will stay in the cache or removed after sync? And how it works with the browser?
Thanks
If you haven't got stuck into the functionality of the new form logic that came with 19A yet, it's well worth it!
Just finished up a small development for a client where I wanted to back out my custom plugin development and make full use of it, and it's worked flawlessly. The technicians are now able to draw, sketch, comment and generally enhance the data volume and quality of site data they capture without hardware or connectivity limitations.
I re-purposed the signature capture as a 'sketch' pad for back-of-the-cigarette-packet drawing, and I love the new draw on photo feature, modelled by Toy Story 4 and my awe-struck daughter! With a small ICS integration, I was able to poll the subscription and move the valuable data into OSvC for > 90 day retention, and with a DBaaS replication to OAC we can even do sentiment and clustering analysis on the measurable data captured. Oracle Cloud has never felt more connected.
Hopefully, we'll get some feature detection ML in OAC in the future and then who knows what we could do with all of those images!

How can i restrict my field technician to not modify its user details, calendar info and work skills etc?

Please can we allow cancelling of activities based on conditions? Our requirement is to allow canceling of activities to the users who have created them and other user's cannot cancel them? Please can we achieve this?
Thanks
Hello,
I'm looking for a field, that would include the name of the resource (bucket or technician) which has the activity in. We are using the new Core App. In old legacy manage, the resource was shown in parentheses, for example "Activity Details (John The Technician)" when we opened the activity. (See attached image for example).
I would like to get that information to activity details page so when dispatcher's open activities, they could easily see who has it. Also I'd like to add this field to the search function, so we wouldn't even have to open the activity to see who has that activity in their bucket. I tried "resource.pname" but it's only for the users name who is logged in, and not the resources name which has the activity in. Also, not all these fields are available in the activity configuration because it only includes activity type properties and not resource type properties.
If there's no field for that, I can post a suggestion to IdeaLab, because I think this is quite important information for users and it should be there to provide better user experience.
Hopefully I clarified my issue clearly enough. Thanks! :)
I am trying to cancel an activity but i am getting an error:
I am not sure where to enable this permission.
we apply a filter with "pending_activity order" < 2, and the technician has visible the activity started and the next pending activity. The goal is that the technician can only see the next pending activity until the current activity ends.
I'm attempting to identify how to set a default value for "time slot" for activities created using the add activity screen in mobility.
Some of our workforce use an in-house developed app to manage their jobs, and this app has a mandatory requirement for a service window value in the activity. Failure for this to be set causes issues with the app.
To prevent this a default value for "time slot" appears to be a simple solution, but I cannot get this to populate in OFSC.
Does anyone have experience of what is the correct format this default value? The time slot I want to use is called 08:00-16:00
Thanks
Hi OFSC brains!
I've been doing a proof of concept in one of our offices and the one area where we seem to be tripping up is the ordering of appointments - we are adding quite a lot manually still as workers need to be add sessions that aren't booked programatically and as we have clients coming to our buildings we are using small 5 minute service windows to signify the start.
This works fine in most cases - the problem we are having is with the "Position in Route" where some sessions seem to be automatically placed at the start or end of the day. This seems to be when the day is otherwise empty so there is no option of before or after another activity.
I have tried removing the drop down altogether on the recommendation of support and scoured he documentation all to no avail. Any top tips to action what should essentially be an OOTB config gratefully received.
Any way of auto setting the end of the Service Window based upon a single time entry would also be a win!
Thanks, Johnny
