Check out the new forms functionality - It's great

Quick overview of some of the things I've been playing with. Would be great to see what others have done!

If you haven't got stuck into the functionality of the new form logic that came with 19A yet, it's well worth it!

Just finished up a small development for a client where I wanted to back out my custom plugin development and make full use of it, and it's worked flawlessly. The technicians are now able to draw, sketch, comment and generally enhance the data volume and quality of site data they capture without hardware or connectivity limitations.

I re-purposed the signature capture as a 'sketch' pad for back-of-the-cigarette-packet drawing, and I love the new draw on photo feature, modelled by Toy Story 4 and my awe-struck daughter! With a small ICS integration, I was able to poll the subscription and move the valuable data into OSvC for > 90 day retention, and with a DBaaS replication to OAC we can even do sentiment and clustering analysis on the measurable data captured. Oracle Cloud has never felt more connected.

Hopefully, we'll get some feature detection ML in OAC in the future and then who knows what we could do with all of those images!

Please can anyone guide how the cache is managed for IOS/Android mobility apps? If I take a picture and attach it with a mobility form then it will stay in the cache or removed after sync? And how it works with the browser?

    Thanks

We have multiple tabs in a form and some of the tabs our technicians will be filling and some of them will be left as blank. Is there any way to highlight the tabs which get filled?

Routing linked activities in different buckets1
Topic posted April 22, 2019 by Chris PhillipsSilver Medal: 2,000+ Points, tagged Routing / Optimization
    Title:
Routing linked activities in different buckets
    Summary:
How to automate scheduling of linked activities in different buckets
    Content:

    Hello all,

I'd like to reach out to the OFSC community for ideas/suggestions regarding routing linked activities. I am currently working to implement OFSC to a new area within our business. As part of their process, there are linked dependencies where activities must be done either at the same time as one another, or for one to start after an interval of when the other has finished. Typically we'd achieve this through link templates. The challenge we currently have however, is that these activities are across different business teams who are defined as separate buckets in our resource tree.

My understand is that routing will only consider the activities in the routing bucket when it runs.

Currently we will have Activity A linked to Activity B

Activity A is in Bucket A, and Activity B is in bucket B. Ideally we would want to be able to run routing on either bucket, and for OFSC to identify the links between the two and route both activites, regardless of the bucket they are in. I believe this is not possible with current functionality.

Other than creating a routing bucket at a higher level within the resource tree and having all activities being created in this bucket, does anybody on this forum have any suggests on how we might be able to achieve this?

    Kind Regards

    Chris
