    How can we integrate Monitoring Tool which are Compatible with OFSC

    Hi OFSC Guru's

        Can any of the Guru's of OFSC tell, if there is any compatible tool's available to monitor OFSC like number activities for the complete day ( with the status transition) through which we can build customized reports, for better understanding. We need for Routing, how many routing plans have been run throughout the day in the form of % . WorkOrder per regions, As per i know we do not get the access to the OFSC DB so we can query the DB and get the results. If we can monitor the network, if OFSC is running slow. 

    Please provide some solution regarding this, as we need to monitor many of the fields.

    We can get the team info by following way on an event:

    • Can we send this info to ICS?
    • from above block can we get any other custom/OOTB property of the team resource like first name ?
    • Can we set any one of the block tag in a property for example activity_number to a custom field?

    The requirement is to get team resource info and to get truck unit # in a custom property. Later this info will be used in a hosted plugin. Also we need to send this info to external system to mention which resources are working on the job.

    I am not sure how to achieve above.

    Image Element doesn't allow the user to take a photo from camera application.

    The user needs to take a picture at the end of an activity but the image element just allows to the user to choose an image from the photo roll which is not correct.     Hey everyone!

    We have a safety survey that is filled in the beginning of every activity. It is losing its meaning and power, because technicians' are getting bored by the survey and just quickly click through the whole survey.

    Is there a way to randomize the Form to be asked only once in a while, for example every 5th activity? Or maybe even only in the beginning of the technician's day (Can I add it to "activate route" -action)? 

    Is there something the upcoming Forms & Plugins feature could help us with?

    I have a question regarding tech location. We haven't procured Smart Location and we want to see the tech's location in only one case that is "when the tech starts an activity". It happens most of the times like they start an activity before reaching to the customer site.

    how to send OFSC new Form data to external applications

    We got upgraded to 19A and with the upgrade we got new Form entity where we can now create custom forms as separate entity. Previously all of our custom forms were map to Activity and we were planning to send all the data to Oracle Integration Cloud (ICS) on the Activity Complete event. With the new forms in picture, we are not sure how to push data to external application (ICS). Documentation does not cover any details and only below information is mentioned:

    Data is available to customers:

    • On the user interface.

    • In an event of Events API.

    • As a Service request, if conditions match.

    We are not how to send forms data to our middleware (ICS). In the OFSC adapter of ICS there is no event there for Form entity. Also, there is no way to do daily extract as well on Form entity. But as per above statement, i believe there should be away to achieve this.

    Please need experts opinion on this.

    Hi,

    I have created an Action Name as shown in the attached screenshot and associated the Action Name as button into Book Activity Screen in the Version 18D. But after the instance upgrade to 19A, i was not able to see the custom button on Book Activity Screen and also i was not able to find the Actions Tab in Screen Layout to add it again. Please find the two screenshots (Action Screen & Book Activity Screen Layout) attached for your reference.

    Hello,

    In the latest version 19A, OFSC introduced new section "Forms & Plugins" where we can create new forms/screens and manage plugins. But i was not able to find the Action Links. In previous version 18D we used to create Actions Links and associate Plugins to these links in Action Management Section. Screenshots of both the versions mentioned above are attached for your reference. Please help me.

    Updating fields with mass change works stupidly

    Hey, 

    We noticed a quite stupid way in the "Change Activities in Groups" feature (https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/18d/facmu/working-with-activities.html#t_changeActivitiesInGroups).

    We have multiple fields in the Change Activities in Groups feature, but most of the time we only want to change one or two of them instead of all the fields. Now it clears the fields that have no information inserted in the "Change window", please see the attached image for more clarification.

    I made a quick fix for this by removing all the other fields but the one that is most used.

    I just want to ask, is this working as intended that it clears the fields, or is there a bug? Let me know how you guys use this feature.

    I have noticed that when an activity starts close to the end of a shift and the technician does not marks it as done and does not deactivates the route then the activity looks as if is finished at the estimated time of end (this could be before or after the end of the shift) but remains with status started.

    Of course the direction is for the technicians to close their activities and deactivate their route. But in case that happens, I would have thought that at least it would look as if it was delayed at to the end of the shift.

    Can someone confirm if this is standard behavior?
