    Hi AM:

Yes, there is an accelerator available for Oracle Field Service and Service Cloud. I've attached a document with some high-level information here. If you have more specific questions, please feel free to contact me - sarah.sheehan@oracle.com.

    Hi Sarah/Melinda,

Is Oracle field service cloud enabled/integrated with Oracle service cloud ?

Is there any documentation if you can share.

    Thanks in advance.

    HI Mykola,

Thanks for the response. I have been able to solve the issue by setting up the default value in message scenario. Earlier the step in which the value was getting set, was not triggered because of the wrong configuration.

    Thanks

    Sachin

    Hello Sachin!

    Could you please clarify:

    1) At what moment you expect default value to be set?

    2) How you realize that its empty/not set?

Mentioned by you approach to use Notification mechanism and Set Property method appears as one which should help.

    All the best!

    Hello!

For these use case(s) OFSC may hardly be adopted as a master system.

    All the best!

    MB,

The accelerator is available free to customers who have OSvC and OFSC. It can be downloaded with documentation, which allows the customer to perform this action themselves.

    Hope that is helpful.

This will only hold 1 training information against a resource type which is not the ask. At any given point of time I should be able to view/add multiple trainings associated against a Resource . It should be RDBMS based and NOT adding as many custom fields as the training count increases.

  • Mykola Khodzynskiy

    Hello!

There is no possibility to create custom objects.

You can update Resource's property of string type via Public API every time when information about Trainings changed.

Now in my scenario, scalar types won't work as they cannot replicate "1 Technician attended xx trainings" scenario.Service Req/Inventory, though have 1:M relationship with Resource, can't be used because they have specific use case to serve.

In simple terms, can I create a ResourceTrg like custom object and map it as 1:M with resource entity in OFSC?

    Hello!

Are you saying that we can leverage Service Request/Inventory entity to act like 'Training'?

No, I'm saying that these entities could be related as 1:m with Resource entity.

Can you please throw some more information on what you mean by extending the Resource properties of scalar data types and will the 90days retention period apply to resource and their properties as well?

I was under impression that only transactional data was removed after 90days

Scalar types, like "string", "integer", "enumeration" and "file" you can choose while defining property for Resource entity.

You're right - values of Resource properties are not transactional data and don't subject standard retention period.

    Sarah,

This is a useful information. Is it part of enterprise edition of RightNow OR customer have to pay extra $ for buying the accelerator pack

    Thanks,

    Mykola,

    Thanks for the reply.

Resource entity could be extended with Resource Properties of scalar data types.

There are entities Inventory and Service Request which could be related as m:1 to Resources

    Hello!

As to retention period, its, if I'm not wrong part of Oracle offering for OFSC and by default is 90 days.

Mentioned above options will be covered by this retention period.

    All the best!

    Hello!

Resource entity could be extended with Resource Properties of scalar data types.

There are entities Inventory and Service Request which could be related as m:1 to Resources.

What to use depends on the way information will be entered, processed, presented and exported in/from the OFSC.

    All the best!
