    Hi Adam,

You can limit when the "Cancel" button is available through UT, but IMO unfortunately you can't make relation between the people who is created the activity and who is trying to cancel it (because only Activity related fields available there).
Maybe you're able to use Plug-in Framework to reach this goal (but this is outside of my knowledge):

Thank you Zsolt. SR was the solution :P

We are quite close to get the result...

Condition'Pending activity order' = 0  Shows only the started activity

Condition'Pending activity order' = 1  Shows only the nexte pending activity

We have a property in the resource that we modify every time we start, suspend or finish an activity, now I just need the value of the condition to be equal to the property of the resource, is this possible?

new resource property is:  XE_resource_inactive equal to 1 on completed or suspended, equal to 0 on start activity

Condition'Pending activity order' = XE_resource_inactive how do I write down the property value into the filter window?

    Hi Paul,

I'm trying to do exactly the same. The documentation on this is pretty vague at best and I've tried numerous options that don't work(last one is shown)

    https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/18d/faadu/configuring-oracle-field-service-cloud.html#c_defaultValuesValidationRules

I've got a SQL/Database expert looking at this for me as it look as though the syntax of the validation rule has to be very specific - unless it's a defect which is hard to prove one way or the other.

Form Functionality which is visible to the technician layout when updated it has to be updated in the existing fields in manage application. Is there a provision to call the same form in Manage screen.

    Thanks,

    Madhu

    Hi Zsolt,

The new form functionality has an issue according to me. If we upload the file, we can't see what has been uploaded. Is there a way for the tech to see which files he has uploaded against the activity.

    Thanks,

    Shankar

    Hi Zsolt,

I have tried using REST API, https://api.etadirect.com/rest/ofscCore/v1/activities/{activityid} from which we can get the attachment file. Here the attachment file is x_attachment, https://api.etadirect.com/rest/ofscCore/v1/activities/{activityid}/x_Attachment. So I though we can this rest API to send a particular attachment to an external system.

I am not aware of option on how we can send the details to another external system via Daily Extract. Can you explain how this can be done.

    Thanks,

    Madhu

    Hi Madhu,

For the first question: IMO you can attach only one file to one property, so you have two options: A) compress files into one and attach that; B) make more properties for attaching.
We get the files through Daily Extract, so I skip the second question. Maybe you can combine the request with the new Form functionality. (I mean the same form can be send multiple times on the same activity.)

    Hi Madhu,

Thank you, but the reported issue is related to Core Application / Dispatch Console, where your "easy" way is the follow:
    - look for the activity by ID in the right top search
    - get date
    - select that day
    - select top of the Tree and hierarchical List View
    - sort by ID
    - scroll down until you found the exact activity
    - read the Resource name from first column
    - search for the resource on the Tree
    - select the exact resource

    Zsolt

    Hi Madhu,

Thank you for your comment. Yes, that is the easiest way to see where the activity is when we are looking inside buckets and when looking at list of activities in Dispatch console. But that's not so easy to do on mobile devices, and it's not helpful when searching activities or when activity is opened in UI. smiley

    Hi Antero,

Core Application (Dispatch Console) still has differences/issues compared to Legacy Manage, but I think Oracle is aware about that.
Clear, and I strongly agree. The closer shoot can be the PID, but we can't use that as a search criteria on the Resource Tree.

    Hi Antero,

If you want to look onto a easy access of the technician name assigned activity you can view in list, and apply hierachy.

    Thanks,

    Hi Jaymin,

You can't export Dashboard reports, but you can export other reports (for example "Average travel time") result only without individual data. I think the "print screen" cannot be treated as a printing solution.
I propose to build a local database based on Daily Extract functionality, and then you can make as complex reports as you wish.

    Hi Shankar,

I think the reason is: in this case the Inventory means the Resource inventory which is different than an activity's inventories (which is found below the Activity branch).
IMO a kind of related topic: https://cloudcustomerconnect.oracle.com/posts/90516ce14f

    Hi Ruben,

Sorry, but I also didn't find other usable field to limit, and found the same issue as you, so IMO -> Idea Lab.
(Off-topic: we have a very special and great movie where the main character has the same given name as you smiley
