    401 Authorization Required Error while calling Business Object REST API in Postman
    Content:

    Hi Team,

    I am getting 401 Authorization Required Error while calling Business Object REST API in Postman. Please find the below screenshot.

    Please also find VBCS settings screenshot. I tried enabling/disabling "Enable basic authentication for business object REST APIs" but the results is same.

    We are getting the same while calling VBCS rest API in PCS.

    Thanks,

    Dipak.

    Content:

    Hi all,

    can you suggest me how to access a business object via java script function on click button event?

    I need to iterate over the business object to retrieve a specific value and I think this would be the easiest way.

    Thanks.

    Access Data iteratively from Service Data Provider2

    Access Data iteratively from Service Data Provider
    Content:

    Hi,

    Is there a way to access data from SDP variable?

    I am reading data from a REST service in a SDP variable and then I want to read that data (iteratively)and after some manipulation want to POST it into a VBCS's BO.

    But while trying to put for-each in SDP I don't see any item's array to map and even if I map SDP variable to the destination it doesn't read the data.

    Attached are two screenshots of the mapping I am trying to do, one is for each loop mapping and second is for BO to POST the data.

    Any help will be very much appreciated.

    Accessing Business Objects via REST and SOAP UI6

    Need some Newby help on Cross-Origin Resource Sharing
    Content:

    Hi

    I'm relatively new to OVBCS and REST, and a little help please...

    I've created a simple VB App and I want to access the business objects via the REST api's from SOAP UI running on my laptop - for testing purposes, before I go on to create some Integrations to update.

    I can use GET to return the data from my business object, but when trying to update using PATCH, I've read I need to add to the REST call header an Origin, which I also need to define as an allowed Origin in Global Settings in OVBCS.

    My question, is what value would I need to provide when calling the REST service from SOAP UI on my laptop?

    Any help / advice greatly apprecited

    thanks

    Mark

    Adding busines object data fails when deployed to androidAnswered55.0

    Title:
    Adding busines object data fails when deployed to android
    Content:

    I have a "Consumer" business object with the following fields:

    1. Name

    2. Age

    3. DOB

    I have a mobile application with two flow pages.  The start page has a form with three text inputs (name, age, dob).  I created a Business Type from the Post Consumer service.  I then created a variable of that type.   Each input field has a value bound to the consumer variable.  When the button is clicked I have an action that does two things.

    1. It calls the POST Consumer service and uses the consumer variable as it's post payload.

    2. Navigates to the second flow page

    It works perfectly online in the emulator.  When I download it to my Google Pixel that submit button does not create the business object and does not move to the next page.  The app is set to anonymous access and there are no security rules on the business object.

    Any idea what could be wrong here?

    Another Nagging Issue with LOVs and ArraysAnswered3

    Title:
    Another Nagging Issue with LOVs and Arrays
    Summary:
    LOV Array - values repeating for all rows
    Content:

    Hello,

    I have an array tied to a table and the array is populated when the page loads.

    I have an LOV on one of the fields. When a value is selected, it repeats for all rows and I do not know why.  The other LOVs on the table do not do that and I have compared the configurations but with no luck.  Here is a screenshot of the issue.

    Also, I've noticed one you define an LOV on an array, you can no longer access the currentRow data attribute.  Is that how it works?

    Thanks for your help,

    Steve

    ***Update*****

    The LOV has a selectedValue variable per Shay's LOV Tips.  When I removed that variable, the values did not repeat.  I will need to find another way to collect the label in the field.

    If anyone knows how to do that, I would appreciate it.

    Thanks, again,

    Steve

    Title:
    Array data is not visible on screen
    Summary:
    How to populate array of elements on the screen
    Content:

    Hi All

    I have the below JSON payload

    "billUnit": {
            "id": "0.0.0.1+-billinfo+2185945",
            "name": "Bill Unit(1)",
            "accountRef": {
                "id": "0.0.0.1+-account+2184409"
            },
            "accountingCycleDom": "1",
            "accountingType": "2",
            "balanceGroups": {
                "id": "0.0.0.1+-balance_group+2185689",
                "balances": [
                    {
                        "currentBalance": "18969HUF",
                        "creditThresholds": "0",
                        "creditThresholdsFixed": ""
                    },
                    {
                        "currentBalance": "-8601.6NoC",
                        "creditThresholds": "0",
                        "creditThresholdsFixed": ""
                    }
                ]
            }

    From above I need to show currentBalance on the screen.

    When I click the button then the above values from JSON payload needs to be shown in "Input Text" component placed on the screen for each value.

    I am able to see the data after button click except the values under "balances" which is array of elements.

    For below code "{{ $page.variables.AccDetailsVar.billUnit.balanceGroups.balances[0].currentBalance }}" not showing "18969HUF" value on the screen.

    Please let me know how to populate array of elements on the screen.

    Thanks

    Venkat.
