#FinTech taking off with Oracle PaaS4SaaS
    Abstract:

New posts cover an event with Profource that focused on building an ERP Cloud solution using the UX Cloud RDK

    Announcement:

Financial technology innovation and the future of banking are hot topics. Wondering how the importance of financial applications and the Cloud fits into the OAUX PaaS4SaaS enablement offered to Oracle Partners? One example from EMEA: a Profource event summed up by Ultan O’Broin in this new post on the UsableApps blog. The event focused on building a Banking Cloud (ERP) solution using the UX Cloud RDK. This a great story about a FinTech solution, Ultan says, and it's our first hands-on event using the Release 10 Cloud UX RDK.

Pam Koertshuis, a Profouce consultant, also wrote about building the Banking Cloud solution with OAUX in this post.

A Celebration of Our Partnership!! The 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant Results Are In...

    Dear Oracle Customers,

Once a year, we get an external report card measuring how we are performing in the HCM marketplace. Gartner looks at Oracle’s vision and execution compared to other vendors in the space, and delivers an assessment of our performance. I am proud to share that once again, Gartner has recognized Oracle as a Leader in their Magic Quadrant, and for the second year in a row, we are the overall Leader in Completeness of Vision.

As you know, my team thrives on innovation. We love finding the tough challenges and seeking new ways to solve them. But we don’t do this on our own. We are fortunate to work with some of the smartest, most innovative minds in the HR space: you. You push us to think differently about the employee experience, to consider technical challenges through a new lens, and to try new solutions to help you be more agile in support of your business needs. You’ve created thousands of ideas in our Idea Lab, you’ve attended our focus groups and CAB meetings – some of you are on my top contacts lists as we’ve texted our way through your implementation!

We couldn’t achieve this kind of recognition without such a committed and collaborative community. Day in and day out, you are the reason we push ourselves to deliver new solutions. Thank you for your support, and please join me in celebrating this recognition.

    Best,

A First Look at Fusion Workforce Reputation Management
    Announcement:

Organizations today operate in a more open, transparent, and complex environment than ever before. The rise of social networking offers the opportunity to create value, but also potentially exposes the organization to multiple risks.
The most successful organizations will effectively manage these risks, while simultaneously leveraging the power and potential of social networks, both internal and external, to build more capable teams, find and attract the best talent, and make the transition to this new, social era.

You are invited to find out more about this from the Human Capital Management team and presenter Steven Boese on Thursday August 16th, 9am - 10am pdt. In this session, participants will get an early look at Oracle Fusion Workforce Reputation Management, a new solution that will help organizations manage and monitor the risks inherent in employee use of social media, while also and equally importantly, take advantage of powerful capabilities to use social signals to discover talent, build more complete teams, and help the organization manage and grow their workforce and organizational reputation.

If you are interested in joining this session, please RSVP to lisa.conley@oracle.com

Announcement: Oracle Cloud Applications Moving to the Global Nerve Center
    Announcement:
    gnc-banner-2.jpg
gnc-icon.png Global Nerve Center (GNC) - What is it?
Announcing the Next Generation of Oracle's Cloud Operations - Global Nerve Center
Oracle has invested heavily in creating the next generation of Oracle’s Cloud operation center. In addition to the 21 Cloud Data Centers and Support worldwide, we are now pleased to introduce the Global Nerve Center (GNC).
What Is the Global Nerve Center?
The Global Nerve Center centralizes the best Cloud operations resources into locations worldwide. Oracle has constructed three massive, always-on, new command and operational facilities. These geographically-distributed locations provide a 24/7 ‘follow-the-sun’ support model, with the ultimate goal to improve the customer experience and success:
    gnc-uk.png
Reading, UK – operational ramp-up started September 2015
    gnc-ind.png
Bangalore, India – operational ramp-up started December 2015
    gnc-us.png
Bozeman, Montana – operational ramp-up planned for August 2017
These three linked facilities are dedicated to handling maintenance activities, unplanned outages and incidents, and will provide more cogent, accurate, and timely information around outages and incidents. In addition to investing in the latest, cutting edge technology, we are also 100% committed in investing in our people. At the end of the day, it is the people that make the biggest difference.
Oracle’s Cloud Services are being transitioned to this next generation Cloud operations center over time with several services already operational in GNC. The Fusion Applications Cloud Service is the next service scheduled to transition to GNC, and is targeted to be fully operational by the 2nd quarter of 2016.
    Global Nerve Center Benefits
The investment in the GNC will enable Oracle to deliver a next generation cloud customer experience. Direct benefits:
    gnc-speed.png
Keeping up with your business – Dedicated to perform at ‘speed of light’ allowing you to scale when needed and reduce issue to resolution time.
    gnc-tick.png
System Availability – Continuous monitoring to minimize issues, benchmark performance, and maximize uptime.
    gnc-clear.png
Transparency – Insight into system status, notifications, and other key resources
Finally, these facilities are built to support the highest US and UK government security standards for Cloud operations. Customer visits are encouraged, and individuals who have toured the facilities are comparing them to NASA and ESA mission launch and control facilities!
