    Is it possible to define the database (operational or reporting) when we're querying data with the REST API?

    A high volume customer noticed that the INSERT of a record should be finished, but the GET function doesn't return that record yet...
    Although it can have several causes, I want to exclude the replication delay by specifying the correct database.
    In the SOAP API there is a possibility to define what database is used, but I couldn't find it in the REST documentation.

    Any ideas?

    Hi everyone,

    Anyone know if the REST API supports CRUD operations for Custom Objects?

    I see it referenced in the overview - see below; however, do not see any REST endpoints for them (http://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/servicecs_gs/CXSVC/rest-endpoints.html)

    Custom objects are typed objects similar to the Connect PHP API. For example, CustObjec.Custom1 in the Oracle Service Cloud database remains CustObjec.Custom1 as a REST resource.

    Hi all, 
    we are building a separate webpage where we want to show incident details on an external webpage. While we have built this before using SOAP, we are using the REST API now. One of the things we run into is this: 
    With a SOAP request, it was possible to get all incident threads in 1 soap call. 

    With the REST API there does not seem to be a way to do this in 1 call. So what we need to do to show the threads is a lot of calls to the API, which causes delay in loading the page. 

    These are the calls we do now. We have the incident reference number to start with, so this is the sequence of calls to the REST API. 

    1. Get incident ID for reference number
      https://{{siteURL}}/services/rest/connect/v1.3/incidents/?q=lookupName='{{exampleIncidentRefno}}'
    2. Get Incident details
      https://{{siteURL}}/services/rest/connect/v1.3/incidents/{{exampleIncidentID}}
    3. Get Threads for Incidents
      https://teamcx-uk.custhelp.com/services/rest/connect/v1.3/incidents/{{exampleIncidentID}}/{{exampleThreadID}}
    4. Now we can loop through all the threads.
    5. Now, to populate the threads with the correct account names, we also need to get all the account names for the threads again.

    Again, for SOAP this was a lot easier. Are we missing something? Is there a way to pull this from REST as well without doing 10+calls to get all incident details?

    Hii,

    I am trying to creates more than one Incidents records in service cloud using REST API. I have formed the JSON structure as follows.

        "primaryContact":
            {
            "id": 1201
            },
        "subject": "FishPhone not working 10"
        },
        
        {
        "primaryContact":
            {
            "id": 1201
            },
        "subject": "FishPhone not working 11"
        }
    ]

     

    But it is not allowing me and throwing the following error.

    Please let me know if there is any way to create multiple objects using json in REST services.

    I am currently exploring the REST API for Oracle Service Cloud. http://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/servicecs_gs/CXSVC/Chunk1005892118.html#aa1133429

    I have recently started using RightNow product. My primary use case is to fetch the Generated reports and some raw data on Incidents using the REST API.

    Currently I am able to use the REST API to fetch all incidents 

    For example : https://***.com/services/rest/connect/v1.3/incidents/

    What I am looking for is to fetch the new incidents that created on daily bases using the REST API. For which I am using the query clause. But its not working for me. I want to filter records based on some criteria.

    For example : 

    /services/rest/connect/v1.3/incidents/?query=select id from incidents where createdTime > '2016-08-10T16:08:39Z';

    Appreciate your help

    Hi,

    Is there any way to set the language in a REST request?

    Our RightNow interface language is in Spanish. When I input the REST URI, its returns an error with the code OSC-CREST-00017. Please, see the attached image.

    I have a customer who's interested in using Swagger to develop their REST app. I found "the" Swagger URL - http://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/servicecs_gs/CXSVC/swagger.json - but I'm wondering if there's a similar URL that's site-specific. When I put that one into editor.swagger.io, I get buttons that offer "Try this operation," but the REST URLs are not editable and are e.g. http://editor.swagger.io/services/rest/connect/v1.3/countries/22 - there's no association to an OSC site. This could be a super-handy feature (and the same basic thing can be done with REST clients, I'm aware) but it's not much use unless there are site-specific Swagger URLs available.

    I'm fairly new to REST and very new to Swagger, so any help is appreciated.

    Is there a way to get the same results via REST as returned by the following ...

    RNCPHP\ConnectAPI::getNamedValues( "RightNow\\Connect\\v1_2\\Incident.customfields.c.incident_source" )

     

    I've tried with no luck:

    Does anyone have any experience using Freeboard with the Rest API. 

    This could be a very powerful and economical way to build web dashboard outside of Oracle for use on readerboard, executives, etc, without the overhead and license needed for the client.

    I can't figure out how to get freeboard to authenticate with the Rest API.
