I have been working with Oracle and Related technologies for over a decade now and has been a part of Cloud Connect forum from last 4 years. One thing I have found is that members here are very supportive and a lot of fruitful discussion happens here.

Many a time solutions to problems are found real quick and fast here.

Really helps me a lot to raise my voice for concerns and the best part is this now is being heard.

Thanks all to the product managers, consultants and community members for all the collaboration.

Improvements Required in Oracle Product Documentation (Share Your Views and Opinions)
    Content:

    Hi Friends,

I have received multiple requests from colleagues, peers, friends  and customers where they have asked me to write up on specific topics (I write some articles at Linkedln, CloudCustomerConnect as well as on Apps2Fusion Website) and one of the things which I have observed that whenever I provide reference to some documentation provided by Oracle Product Development Team they say they are looking for the below specific things in the same:

    1. The documents is too theoretical and too much detail
    2. Practical Worked Out Examples are not provided
    3. Descriptions are vague and not clearly explained
    4. Too techie in nature
    5. Difficult for newbies and novice readers to follow
    6. Some articles use tech keyword to such an extent that it actually frightens the reader.

As such, many would be delighted and be more interested in adopting Oracle products and technologies if the documents are simple, easy to read and easy to follow.

Note: This is my personal opinion and the intent is to provide feedback so that things can be improved for the greater interest of the Oracle Community.

Request all of you to please share your views and opinions ( Open for Counter Arguments).

    Kind Regards
    Ashish

Title is pretty self-explanatory. How is the events calendar populated? How can we get missing OUG events added to it in order to increase visibility and community engagement?

    Thanks,

Jython Code to Capture UCM cloud response
    Content:

Any file uploaded to UCM cloud gives a response that contains the same tag for all the elements with different Attribute values.

Here is a small Jython snippet that could be used for fetching the content id and placing that into a Test file.

This can be res used for any integrations that have middle ware usage like ODI, ICS, Mulesoft.

    Suggested Meeting Invites Best Practices1

    Title:
    Suggested Meeting Invites Best Practices
    Summary:
Client Feedback on ways Oracle can imporve the consistency for meetings
    Content:

As an end user there have been a couple issues that have bitten me regarding meetings/webex.

    1) Oracle should always put a meeting date/time with time zone on the meeting invites.  Some meeting have the "Ad to Calendar Link" some don't. Oracle can avoid confusion by always stating the time zone of the meeting in the invite.

    2) Ad to calendar link does not give schedule the meeting correctly.  I don't know if it's always wrong, but I know I have missed meetings because the time was incorrect when it added it to my outlook calendar.  If this is not something Oracle can control then I suggest removing the add to calendar link.

    3) If you cancel a meeting that does not require a registration. Don't just cancel the meeting and delete the URL from customer connect. Oracle should update the prior URL /page and say the meeting is cancelled or provide the new date time. Today , 11/16, I blocked of time for a meeting from 10 - 11 PM CST, 11-12 PM EST and the meeting was cancelled. Very unprofessional to not notify your population of the cancellation. Oracle is telling me they don't value my time.

Your prompt attention to these issues would be appreciated.

    Hi Experts,

I am a member of OTN / MOSC and the application allows tagging an individual / group or subspace using @[<member>,<sub-space>] .

Wondering if the same can be implemented here.

Would be cool and easy to draw attention to specific individuals who can provide their expert comments and insights.
