    I am looking to update my "Areas of Interest" in my Cloud Customer Connect profile.

    I am looking to update my "Areas of Interest" in my Cloud Customer Connect profile. When I click on my name at the top of the Customer Connect site (after signing in), in my profile, there is a section called "Areas of Interest". I wanted to check and see if there were any other areas I could add since I have taken on a few new roles. Is it possible to update this information in my profile?

    Hi

     

    I've recently had a change of e-mail and updated my MOS account accordingly.  As a result of this I was unable to access my customer connect account without creating a new profile, the one I'm posting this query through now.

    How can I arrange for my 2 profiles to be merged so that my connections, posts and subscriptions are not lost?  Alternatively can I get my other profile updated with my new e-mail address and this profile cancelled?

    I have raised this as an SR with MOS and they have advised me to e-mail appsconnect@custhelp.com. but this is not a valid email address apparently.

    Also I have noticed whilst looking on how to update my profile that there doesn't seem to be an option to unsubscribe to this application so I was wondering how if my circumstances were to change and I no longer needed to access Customer Connect that I could end my profile account?

    Any help and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    It would be extremely helpful to have a daily (and weekly) digest option for the posts/comments instead of receiving individual emails.  Sometimes the lively discussion on a topic can overwhelm my inbox, and I don't have time to read/respond to every post, though I do schedule time to visit my Forums on a weekly basis.  Having a digest option would alleviate the non-critical emails that I am sent.

    This is what I posted about someone who gave a comment a one star rating....

     

    Also seeing as you have used the one star rating on another note what do you make of the forum rating system ?  personally find the star system reminiscent of music library rankings. In which to me anything below 3 is a negative rating . 3 is meh and 4 and 5 are good and very good respectively.  There are others who disagree and say any star rating is a good rating but that basically removes the ability to downvote a post like you seemed to be doing .. in that sense the slashdot rating system makes more sense for a community than a 1 star to 5 star rating system...

    So my question is if a community has a star rating system like this one that goes from one to five and once you rate a comment you cannot unrate a comment and there is no default rating what constitutes a good rating . Is a one star good and a 5 star better ? Or is a one star bad and a 3 star meh making a 5 star brilliant ? why not use something like facebook likes or XDA thanks or slashdot 1 to 5 with a modfier ? this star system is very ambiguous. set a default rating or have a negative positive system... but this system is too open to interpretation and there are no visible forum admin guidelines...

     I see both Hemal and Mimi are supposed to get a notification for this so I would like them to officially weigh in on this topic... :) and provide a counterveiling view...

    Hi,

    I was using the Cloud Customer Connect in my previous company with their official Email ID, now since i changed the company i was made to create a new account with the current company's official ID. Now what if i change my company again, do i need to create a new account every time i change my company ?

    Is there a way I can merge these to accounts to one which i prefer ?

    I am getting a 403: Access Denied error when trying to post a new topic in my Areas of Interest forum on the Cloud Customer Connect Platform.  The error page indicates I need to 1. Go to my Profile Page, 2. Click Edit Areas of Interest, 3. Save.  However, I already have the specific areas of interest saved in my Area of Interest section of my Profile.    I am also unable to reply to or comment on other posts (specifically unable to post or reply in the Account Reconciliation and Profitability and Cost Management Areas of Interest.  I have other interests checked but have not tested those).

    I have tried accessing via Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge all with same result.

    I first noticed this behavior several weeks ago, so it doesn't seem to be something that will fix itself overnight or after making a change to my profile.

    Does anyone know how to resolve this?
