    Enabling Supplier Audit HistoryAnswered75.0
Topic posted February 22, 2018 by Aishwarya PawarGold Medal: 3,500+ Points, tagged Audit, How-To, Tip
    Title:
    Enabling Supplier Audit History
    Summary:
Tips for enabling Supplier Audit History
    Content:

Supplier Audit History allows tracking and reporting of changes made to supplier profile information to support internal audit controls and governance as well as external regulatory compliance such as SOX.

Here are some tips that will allow you to set up this feature correctly and leverage everything it has to offer:

    • Ensure attributes that need to be audited have been enabled for audit tracking using the Manage Audit Policies task as shown in the screenshot below. Changes to an attribute will be tracked only if it is enabled for audit. Refer to the steps listed below explaining how attributes can be enabled for audit.
    • Ensure that the business object to be audited is selected in addition to its individual attributes.
    • Payments information i.e. Payment Methods, Bank Accounts and Payment Attributes can be specified for a supplier, its addresses and sites. Corresponding attributes can be enabled for audit using one of the three business objects available: Supplier Payment Methods, Supplier Bank Accounts and Supplier Payment Attributes. Enabling an attribute that belongs to these business objects will track changes made to the attribute at all three levels: supplier, address and site.
    • Changes made to audit setup are prospective and not retrospective. Consequently, for an attribute which has not been previously enabled for audit, any changes made to it prior to enabling it for audit will not be tracked. To optimize performance only enable attributes that need to be tracked.

    image2018-2-20%2016%3A0%3A19.png?version=1&modificationDate=1519171219000&api=v2

Following steps will guide you to setup audit tracking on the list of supplier profile attributes:

    1. Access the Setup and Maintenance workarea and look for the Manage Audit Policies task.
    2. On the Mange Audit Policies page, set the Audit Level as Auditing and take the Configure Business Object Attributes action.
    3. On the Configure Business Object Attributes page, select Procurement as the product.
    4. Select the appropriate object in the Objects tree table. This corresponds to the object to which the attribute you want audited belongs. For example, if you want to track changes to Alternate Name of a supplier, you should select the Supplier object. Likewise if you want to audit the Address Name, you should select the Supplier Addresses object.
    5. After selecting the object, take the Create action available under the Audited Attributes section on the right. A list of attributes that can be tracked using audit will be made available to you.
    6. Select the attributes that need to be audited. This will allow any changes made to these attributes to be tracked and reported.
    7. Take the Save the Close action.

Refer to the following for more details on what the Supplier Audit feature offers:

Supplier Registration email concerns if SSO is enabled65.0
Topic posted June 4, 2019 by Vineet GangwarBlue Ribbon: 750+ Points, tagged How-To, Public Sector, Security, Setup, Supplier Communication, Supplier Creation, Supplier Registration, Supplier User Account, Tip
    Title:
Supplier Registration email concerns if SSO is enabled
    Summary:
When SSO is enabled, organisations are suppose to disable the user account related email and this disables the emails for new account creations for supplier as well.
    Content:

If SSO is enabled, user account creation emails are generally disabled and this causes a challenge to implement supplier portal. As suppliers do not get communicated about their account creations automatically as soon as the account is created, followings are the possible solutions (and their challenges) which can be suggested to clients (there can be few more but these are based on my understandings of the application):

1: Once supplier is registered and account is crated, go to security console, change the user category and reset the password to resend the emails to suppliers.

Challenges - In most of the public (even in private) sectors, this activity is performed by a dedicated team of supplier admins/managers and they are not supposed to have the access of "Security Console" because of organisations security policies. Hence this solution doesn't sound feasible to clients.

2- Keep notifications enabled and modify the content of user account email. Detail clear cut instructions for employees and suppliers on how they can access the application but again it comes with the risk that employees (new) might miss the instruction and start using it with the credentials provided in email rather that the SSO ones, which is again big concern for organisations.

These are the 2 possible solutions which I could have thought of based on my understanding of Cloud application. Please feel free to correct me or suggest any alternate solution if you have come across similar requirement.

    Thanks

    Supplier Descriptive Flexfields Context problems6
Topic posted February 14, 2019 by Marko KnezevicBronze Medal: 1,250+ Points, tagged How-To, Supplier Profile Management
    Title:
    Supplier Descriptive Flexfields Context problems
    Summary:
Supplier Descriptive Flexfields Deployment to Sandbox problem, Context problem
    Content:

    Hello,
Our customer requirement is to have some additional information for the Suppliers, so we tried to use Supplier Descriptive Flexfields to achieve that.

We have edited the Supplier Descriptive Flexfields POZ_SUPPLIERS, added Context and 2 Context Segments that we want to display on Supplier Profile to collect data.

Wanted to Deploy the Flexfield to Sandbox first to test but the following problems occured:

Step 1 Setup and Maintenance => Manage Supplier Descriptive Flexfields
    Created Context1
Created Context Segment 1 for Context1
Created Context Segment 2 for Context1
    Save and Close

Step 2 Deploy Flexfield to Sandbox

click Deploy Flexfield POZ_SUPPLIERS to Sandbox
get the following warning: The POZ_SUPPLIERS flexfield will be deployed to the following sandbox for testing purpose: FF__POZ_SUPPLIERS__10044_DFF
    Sign Out , Sign In
I am not in the Sandbox FF__POZ_SUPPLIERS__10044_DFF
The above mentioned Sandbox does not exist
the POZ_SUPPLIER Flexfield Deployment status is "Deployed"

Step 3 Show Context Sensitive Segments on Edit Supplier

The Descriptive Flexfield status is Deployed (from Step 2)
    Procurement => Suppliers => click Supplier_Name => Edit
The Descriptive Flexfield does not show on the page
Settings and Actions => Edit pages => Structure => Component Properties: Descriptive Flexfield => Edit => Child Components
"This component does not enclose any child components"

    Expected behaviour:
Step 2. Flexfield Deployed to Sandbox only, Flexfield Deployment status = Deployed to Sandbox and after Sign Out and Sign in that sandbox should be Active
Step 3. The Flexfield should be visible (Additional Information) on Edit Supplier and Supplier Registration Pages (internal and external)

Did anyone encounter these problems? Any advice?

    Thank you,
    Best regards
