    You may have requirement to personalize Supplier Bank Account UI, for example, to ensure user provides all the required information when creating bank accounts, or rename an attribute for better user experience. With feature ‘Approve Internal Changes on Supplier Bank Accounts’, you can now meet this requirement as you get the flexibility to personalize the bank account popup.

    Here is a stepwise guide to personalize supplier bank account popup: In this example, we will make Account Type a required attribute.

    1. Ensure that you have the feature ‘Approve Internal Changes on Supplier Bank Accounts’ enabled. You can find the feature following this path: Opt-In > Procurement > Suppliers.

    2. Login the application with a user who has Procurement Application Administrator role and enter a sandbox. Access page composer to edit the UI component.
       
    3. Navigate to Suppliers Workarea and search for any supplier to access the bank account popup that needs to be personalized.

    4. Navigate to the bank accounts tab and click on create icon to access create bank account popup.

    5. Provide all the required information on the popup and click the ‘select’ option in the toolbar to enter the personalization mode.

    6. Click on the attribute that needs to be personalized, Account Type in this case, and click to edit the component’s property.

    7. Click to override the Required property of this component. Once override option is taken, click to access expression builder and enter ‘True’ as a value for the expression. Click ok and close the edit component popup.

    8. Verify the personalization changes reflect on the create bank account popup.

    9. Publish the sandbox after verifying your changes.

    Points to consider:

    1. The changes on either the create or edit popup will reflect on the other popup too.
       
    2. Similarly, the changes will reflect for suppliers accessing their profile through Supplier Portal too.

    Wanted to know two things if they can be doable during supplier registration

    1. TIN validation. If this can be done via 3rd party integration then more details on that integration should be helpful.

    and

    2. Ability to standardize the Tax ID/SSN prior to match (e.g. appropriate format xx-xxxxxxx or ***-xx-xxxx). I guess this is doable but not sure.

    I have an idea to prevent supplier internal changes with no need for approval .

    Hello ,

    i have a business requirement from one of the customers ,

    He have two people with supplier manager role .

    Buyer A and Buyer B .

    Buyer A has to go to supplier Profile to promote him to spend authorized from prospective status . but we need to prevent this user from editing Supplier Profile .

    Buyer B have the authority to amend the supplier profile , no problem .

    Now based on these cases i have a requirement to restrict Buyer A Not to amend Just Promote , and based on latest updates , we can not create a custom role that seperated the supplier maitain priviliges and the promote supplier button .

    so i am suggesting a new work around :

    1- as there is a UI Personalizations based on the Role

    2- we will create custom role to be copied from the supplier manager .

    3 we will custom the UI to make some fields disabled or not showing for this custom role .

    i think by this way we have a work around for this  ER 21984076 .

    Now i need a document or steps guides me how to personalize the UI ti be per role level not Site Level

    Letting Supplier create or update Bank Account at Site Level

    Good Morning!

    Have a quick question and wanted to check if anyone had similar request from clients as this is the third time I am seeing this requirement. I know in Supplier Portal, Suppliers are only allowed to update records at header level. Which is fine, but one information which is Bank account has no relevance at header but Site. The question is can this be done or an enhancement request be created so that Supplier can select a BU and assign a Bank account to that BU on an ongoing basis using Supplier Portal. Currently Supplier adds a bank account it goes to header, and then the Vendor management team has to go and take that information and assign or create at the site level which seems redundant. Please share how you have tackled this in past and if you see a value in changing this particular feature ?

    Process to access customization UI on External Supplier Registration pages is slightly different from the one followed for pages used by users internal to your organization.

    This topic explains how to access the UI and subsequently customize the External Supplier Registration page. As an example, we will modify the Instruction Text available on the Company Details train stop of the External Supplier Registration page.

    NOTE The steps below are also available in the attached PDF document: Customize External Supplier Registration Pages.pdf.

    A. How to access customization UI on External Supplier Registration pages

    1. Invoke the External Supplier Registration URL provided. NOTE: This URL is available on the setup task: Configure Procurement Business Function.
       
    2. Login as a user with the Procurement Application Administrator role. NOTE: You may see an error: The Supplier Registration page cannot be found. Check the URL and try again. This error can be ignored.
       
    3. Replace the URL with the External Supplier Registration URL retrieved in Step 1.
       
    4. Access Manage Sandboxes to create a new sandbox.
       
    5. Create a new sandbox and activate it. NOTE: Activating the sandbox, will take you to the Fusion Applications homepage or the springboard as it is commonly known. Simply replace the URL with the External Supplier Registration URL again like in Step 3.
       
    6. Navigate to the 'Customize Supplier Registration Pages' menu option available under the user menu on the top right of the page.

    7. Provide values for the mandatory fields Company, D-U-N-S Number, Tax Organization Type, Contact Information before proceeding ahead.
    8. Navigate to the Select tab on the customization UI.

    B. Modify instruction text on External Supplier Registration page

    1. After navigating to Select tab, click on the instruction text that you need to personalize. Clicking the instruction text will show Edit Component option.

    2. Click on the Edit Component option. To change the text of the instruction text, click on the arrow next to the Value field. From the list of options, click Override and then click Expression Builder to enter the new text as shown in following screen shots.

    3. Click OK to close the popup. Verify the changed instruction text on the Company Details page.

    4. Once the changes are final, you need to publish the sandbox so that the change is available to all the users.


      Point to consider:

      Use this page composer approach to change a string when you need the string changed for a page. If you need to change the string on all the pages across the application i.e. to reflect the change on all the pages that have this string used, use User Interface Text instead. Refer to earlier post 'How to edit an instruction text using User Interface Text feature?' for more details on User Interface Text.

    Use Case:

    Capturing supplier bank account information is important for on-boarding suppliers through supplier registration flows.  By default, Country and Account Number are required fields.  You would like to make additional attributes required during supplier registration. For example, your company policy requires that supplier bank accounts should always include account name information.

    How-to:

    Follow these steps to use page composer and make Account Name a required field for supplier registration flows.

    1. Navigate to supplier registration page/flow and Bank Accounts train stop.
    2. Create and enter a sandbox.
    3. Click Edit Supplier Registration Pages from the global menu

    4. Switch from the default Design View to Source View

    5. Click on Create button and click Edit on Confirm Shared Component Edit dialog

    6. In the components hierarchy panel (on the right in the screenshot above), locate the first popup component under panelGroupLayout: default.  This is the component for the Create Bank Account dialog.  The second popup component right below is for the Edit Bank Account dialog.  Select the first popup component and right click on Edit.

    7. On the Component Properties: popup dialog, change the Content Delivery to immediate. Click OK.

    8. You can now edit properties of any of these UI components belonging to the create bank account popup. Since the use case is to make the  Account Name required, locate inputText: Account Name in the list of the UI components and click to edit the property of the component.

    10. Since the configuration on create bank account popup does not reflect on the edit bank account popup, you need to perform same steps for the edit bank account dialog as well. Locate edit popup using details in step 6 above and perform steps 7 to 9 for it. 

    11. Bank Account Name is then required for both Create and Edit Bank Account dialogs.

    12. Publish the sand box changes.

    Points to Consider:

    • After the configuration, Account Name is now required for all supplier registration flows, including both internal and external supplier registrations as the same dialog is shared between both flows.
    • You don't need to repeat the same steps for create and edit flows if the same popup is being used for both places.
    • You can follow these steps if you are not able to configure other dialogs in design view.

These changes could include making fields read-only, required or changing field labels etc.This topic explains how to edit the user interface of Supplier Portal pages. As an example, we will make make the Corporate Web Site field required on the Edit Profile Change Request page.

     

    A. How to navigate to edit User Interface of Supplier Portal pages
    In order to access the Edit User Interface page, you will need to create a dummy supplier and supplier contact with a user account. The user assigned to this contact will need to login to Supplier Portal to proceed with the changes. Here are exact steps you will need to follow.

    1. Access Suppliers workarea as a Supplier Administrator or Supplier Manager.
       
    2. Create a dummy supplier, add a supplier contact and create a user account for this contact. An email address needs to be provided to create this user account and this email address needs to belong to the user who will be responsible for changing the Supplier Portal pages. NOTE: Ensure that the user account is created successfully before proceeding to the next step (Account Status needs to be Active). Also, ensure that the user has been assigned all the appropriate roles so that he can access the pages he needs to change. For instance, the user will need the Supplier Self Service Administrator role to be able to change the Edit Profile Change Request page that is accessed from the Manage Profile page.

    3. Login as a user with the IT Security Manager role and assign the role: Application Implementation Consultant role to the user associated with the supplier contact above.

    4. Invoke the Supplier Portal URL.
       
    5. Login as the user created above (with the Application Implementation Consultant role).
       
    6. Access Manage Sandboxes to create a new sandbox.
       
    7. Create a new sandbox and activate it. NOTE: Activating the sandbox, will take you to the Fusion Applications homepage or the springboard as it is commonly known. Access Supplier Portal from the springboard. Alternatively, in Step 1 you can also invoke the Fusion Applications homepage and access Supplier Portal from the spring board.
       
    8. Click the Manage Profile task under Company Profile. This will take you to the Company Profile page.

    9. Take the Edit action. This will take you to the Edit Change Request page.
       
    10. Navigate to the Edit Pages menu option available under the user menu on the top right of the page.

    B. Make Corporate Web Site a required field.

    1. After navigating to the Structure tab, hover over the Corporate Web Site field. A popup as shown below that asks to confirm the task flow edit is shown.

    2. Click the Edit button. This will highlight the Corporate Web Site field in the panel displayed at the bottom of the page. NOTE: You may need to expand the panel by pulling vertically along the panel border if panel is hidden.

    3. Click on the Properties icon for the Corporate Web Site field. This will open the Component Properties: Corporate Web Site popup.

    4. Locate Required in the Component Properties popup and navigate to Expression Builder.

    5. Enter value: true in the Expression Editor as shown below. Click the OK button. This enables a required field error message to be shown to the user if no value is provided for Corporate Web Site field.

    6. Check the Show Required checkbox. This will mark the Corporate Web Site field with a * symbol and display it as a Required field.

    7. Click the Apply and OK buttons on the Component Properties popup to save the changes. Verify changes are displayed on the page. Click the Close button to exit the Editing User Interface page.
       
    8. Once the changes are final, you need to publish the sandbox so that the change is available to all users. In this specific example, the Corporate Web Site is displayed as a required field and is validated as such.

    How to hide individual Supplier Descriptive Flexfields (DFFs)

    A step by step guide to hide individual Supplier Descriptive Flexfields on Supplier Registration pages, while keeping them visible on the Edit Supplier page.

    Supplier Descriptive Flexfields (DFFs) are shared between the Edit Supplier page (accessed from Suppliers workarea), Company Profile page (accessed from Supplier Portal) and Supplier Registration pages.

    Supplier DFFs can be configured via Manage Supplier Descriptive Flexfields or the Manage Supplier Registration Descriptive Flexfields setup task. Both these tasks point to same DFF entity and the DFFs are shared between these flows.

    This topic explains how these common DFFs can be made visible in one flow (say Edit Supplier) and kept hidden in another flow (say External Supplier Registration).

    NOTE: DFFs once configured and deployed are displayed in the Additional Information section. Additional Information section is visible by default on the Edit Supplier page, but needs to be made visible via customization when profile is accessed from Supplier Portal and on the Supplier Registration pages.

     

    In the example below we will use customization to hide one DFF on the Supplier Registration UI, but still keep it visible on all the other pages that share this DFF. The details below are also available in the attached PDF document.

    Let 's assume the Procurement Application Administrator has configured 2 DFFs: Insurance Provider and Policy Number. The steps below illustrate how one of these DFFs (Insurance Provider to be specific) can be hidden selectively on the External Supplier Registration page.

    1. Invoke the External Supplier Registration URL, activate a sandbox and access the Customize Supplier Registration pages menu option available under the user menu. Refer to the topic: How to customize External Supplier Registration Pages for exact steps.
       
    2. Provide values for the mandatory fields: Company, Tax Organization Type, D-U-N-S Number, Contact Information.
       
    3. Assuming the Additional Information section (which contains the DFFs) is already visible, navigate to the 'Structure' tab and expand the section that shows the hierarchical structure:

    4. Highlight the Additional Information section. This action will bring the focus to the corresponding node in the section showing the structure.

    5. Select the descriptiveFlexfield node as shown in screenshot below:

    6. Select the Edit action. This would open the Component Properties: descriptiveFlexfield popup. Navigate to the tab: Flexfield Global Context Segments tab. Select the DFF you want to hide on the Supplier Registration page in the Segment Code. Set the value to false in the Rendered dropdown menu.

    7. Publish the sandbox.
       
    8. Notice that the DFF is now hidden on the Supplier Registration page. NOTE: This change will be reflected on both the External Supplier Registration pages: Prospective Supplier Registration, Spend Authorized Supplier Registration but not on the Internal Supplier Registration pages (accessed via the Suppliers, Negotiations, Requisitions workareas).
