Oracle Cloud Supplier Portal Integration Capabilities
    Content:

We want to build a solution wherein we implement Oracle Cloud Supplier Portal and have integrations between Oracle cloud supplier portal and Oracle EBS. The solution should allow suppliers to access the purchase orders, purchase agreements and invoices status created in EBS using Oracle Cloud Supplier portal. Similarly, the suppliers should be able to acknowledge purchase documents, create Shipment notices and create invoices in Oracle cloud supplier portal and these transactions should be interfaced to Oracle EBS.

Can Oracle Cloud Supplier Portal be configured as a standalone offering and can we create integrations to and from Oracle Cloud Supplier Portal?

    Enabling Supplier Audit HistoryAnswered75.0

    Title:
    Enabling Supplier Audit History
    Summary:
Tips for enabling Supplier Audit History
    Content:

Supplier Audit History allows tracking and reporting of changes made to supplier profile information to support internal audit controls and governance as well as external regulatory compliance such as SOX.

Here are some tips that will allow you to set up this feature correctly and leverage everything it has to offer:

    • Ensure attributes that need to be audited have been enabled for audit tracking using the Manage Audit Policies task as shown in the screenshot below. Changes to an attribute will be tracked only if it is enabled for audit. Refer to the steps listed below explaining how attributes can be enabled for audit.
    • Ensure that the business object to be audited is selected in addition to its individual attributes.
    • Payments information i.e. Payment Methods, Bank Accounts and Payment Attributes can be specified for a supplier, its addresses and sites. Corresponding attributes can be enabled for audit using one of the three business objects available: Supplier Payment Methods, Supplier Bank Accounts and Supplier Payment Attributes. Enabling an attribute that belongs to these business objects will track changes made to the attribute at all three levels: supplier, address and site.
    • Changes made to audit setup are prospective and not retrospective. Consequently, for an attribute which has not been previously enabled for audit, any changes made to it prior to enabling it for audit will not be tracked. To optimize performance only enable attributes that need to be tracked.

    image2018-2-20%2016%3A0%3A19.png?version=1&modificationDate=1519171219000&api=v2

Following steps will guide you to setup audit tracking on the list of supplier profile attributes:

    1. Access the Setup and Maintenance workarea and look for the Manage Audit Policies task.
    2. On the Mange Audit Policies page, set the Audit Level as Auditing and take the Configure Business Object Attributes action.
    3. On the Configure Business Object Attributes page, select Procurement as the product.
    4. Select the appropriate object in the Objects tree table. This corresponds to the object to which the attribute you want audited belongs. For example, if you want to track changes to Alternate Name of a supplier, you should select the Supplier object. Likewise if you want to audit the Address Name, you should select the Supplier Addresses object.
    5. After selecting the object, take the Create action available under the Audited Attributes section on the right. A list of attributes that can be tracked using audit will be made available to you.
    6. Select the attributes that need to be audited. This will allow any changes made to these attributes to be tracked and reported.
    7. Take the Save the Close action.

Refer to the following for more details on what the Supplier Audit feature offers:

Wanted to know two things if they can be doable during supplier registration

    1. TIN validation. If this can be done via 3rd party integration then more details on that integration should be helpful.

    and

    2. Ability to standardize the Tax ID/SSN prior to match (e.g. appropriate format xx-xxxxxxx or ***-xx-xxxx). I guess this is doable but not sure.

    Title:
    Supplier Import Tips
    Summary:
Tips for importing supplier records using FBDI templates from external sources into Oracle Supplier Model Cloud
    Content:

Supplier import functionality allows you to mass insert or update supplier records into the supply base. Import records are first loaded into interface tables and then added to the supply base post successful validation.

Here are some tips to consider that could help ensure your supplier import processes run successfully:

    Populating FBDI templates

    1. Use #NULL wherever applicable to update an attribute value to blank. E.g. use #NULL to remove Acme Corp. as the Alternate Name.
Refer to Comments added for every import column header in the FBDI import templates to find useful details such as attribute description, interface table column name, actions supported, UI navigation that can help you identify acceptable values. Also, refer to the Instructions and CSV Generation worksheet for details on how  CSV files should be generated and used to import records.
    2. Use the Batch ID attribute (displayed as a column name in FBDI templates) and the corresponding parameter while submitting an import process, especially if you are importing a large number of import records. This will allow you to process import records in a single import file using multiple processes. Also please note that when no value is provided for Batch ID parameter, only import records that do not have a Batch ID specified will be processed.
    3. You can import contact addresses for an existing contact without importing the contact i.e. it is perfectly acceptable to leave the POZ_SUP_CONTACTS worksheet empty and only populate the POZ_SUPP_CONTACT_ADDRESSES_INT worksheet in the Supplier Contacts Import template.
OTBI subject area: Supplier Import - Supplier Real Time and related seeded reports can be leveraged to populate supplier import templates starting Release 11. The reports are in a format that resemble the templates and could be used to generate import data that is suitable to be copied over to the templates . For more details refer to the Release 11 training: Supplier Reporting Enhancements.

    Scheduling import processes

    1. While scheduling an import process to import new records, be sure to select the import option of "New". This ensures that the current import process does not attempt to validate existing interface table records that have already been processed and rejected previously.
    2. Ensure that your parent entity exists in the supply base before importing the child entities. E.g. ensure the supplier site exists before importing its site assignments.

    After successful imports

Empty the interface table of the supplier entity you have successfully imported by running the Purge Supplier Interface Records process immediately after the import. This ensures that interface tables are empty for your subsequent import and the new import process does not attempt to process older records which are no longer relevant. NOTE: This process is available along with the other import processes.

Branding Variation on Supplier Facing Screens
    Summary:
Can the appropriate branding be presented to suppliers, depending on the entity they are dealing with within a large global enterprise?
    Content:

If an enterprise has multiple companies with different brands, can the appropriate branding be presented to suppliers.

    1. My understanding is that BU specific PO branding would allow the appropriate branding to appear on outgoing POs. I think that’s clear. I would be grateful for confirmation.

    2. Can the supplier facing screens (Supplier Portal, Supplier Registration etc.) be branded (logos/colours) to reflect the entity that the supplier is dealing with? (the correct company branding for one of the the multiple companies/brands within the enterprise)

    3. Can the emails/notifications sent to suppliers be branded in the same way as described in point 2?

    4. If branding is not possible, what does the supplier see that allows him/her to know which organisation they are dealing with?

Supplier Portal - Notification for Creation of Invoice
    Summary:
AP would like to obtain email notification for Invoices Created and submitted through the Supplier Portal
    Content:

    Hello All,

We have implemented the Supplier Portal in the test environment. When testing this new feature, we noticed that when a supplier creates and submits an invoices, Payables does not obtain any sort of notification to alert the AP Specialist to review and validate invoice. The only workaround is to go to 'manage invoices' and see invoices requiring validation based on their creation date. We also noticed that if a submitted invoice is incorrect, AP is unable to 'reject/return' invoice. The only available action under 'invoice action' is to cancel invoice.

I would like to know how other companies are using the Supplier Portal and manager invoices submitted through it.
