approval on internal supplier profile changes
    Summary:
I have an idea to prevent supplier internal changes with no need for approval .
    Content:

    Hello ,

i have a business requirement from one of the customers ,

He have two people with supplier manager role .

    Buyer A and Buyer B .

Buyer A has to go to supplier Profile to promote him to spend authorized from prospective status . but we need to prevent this user from editing Supplier Profile .

Buyer B have the authority to amend the supplier profile , no problem .

Now based on these cases i have a requirement to restrict Buyer A Not to amend Just Promote , and based on latest updates , we can not create a custom role that seperated the supplier maitain priviliges and the promote supplier button .

so i am suggesting a new work around :

1- as there is a UI Personalizations based on the Role

2- we will create custom role to be copied from the supplier manager .

3 we will custom the UI to make some fields disabled or not showing for this custom role .

i think by this way we have a work around for this  ER 21984076 .

Now i need a document or steps guides me how to personalize the UI ti be per role level not Site Level

    Hello Everyone,

One of our client has a requirement where they would like to send a FYI notification to a group of people after final supplier approval. We were able to achieve this by adding a new Stage in the SpendAuthorizationRequestFYI (screenshot attached) workflow.

Just wanted to check if there is any better way to achieve the same. Also in case of environment upgrade will the solution work or will it be overwritten by seeded values.

    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,

In Oracle Cloud Procurement and payables, is it possible to have a scenario where goods are received from a different party, but beneficiary of payment is different ?

I'm not sure but I think supplier relationship (if that exist in cloud) can be leveraged for this purpose where goods are received from a different party and my payment goes to actual supplier.

What are the setups needed to achieve this scenario ?

Thanks for your time and inputs !

How to Configure Bank Accounts Dialog for Supplier...45.0
Topic posted October 30, 2019 by Hong GaoGold Medal: 3,500+ Points, tagged Customization, How-To
    Title:
How to Configure Bank Accounts Dialog for Supplier Registration Flows
    Summary:
Steps to configure bank accounts dialog for supplier registration pages
    Content:

    Use Case:

Capturing supplier bank account information is important for on-boarding suppliers through supplier registration flows.  By default, Country and Account Number are required fields.  You would like to make additional attributes required during supplier registration. For example, your company policy requires that supplier bank accounts should always include account name information.

    How-to:

Follow these steps to use page composer and make Account Name a required field for supplier registration flows.

    1. Navigate to supplier registration page/flow and Bank Accounts train stop.
    2. Create and enter a sandbox.
    3. Click Edit Supplier Registration Pages from the global menu

    image2019-10-28_13-45-9.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572295510000&api=v2

    4. Switch from the default Design View to Source View

    image2019-10-28_13-46-4.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572295564000&api=v2

    5. Click on Create button and click Edit on Confirm Shared Component Edit dialog

    image2019-10-28_13-47-34.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572295654000&api=v2

    6. In the components hierarchy panel (on the right in the screenshot above), locate the first popup component under panelGroupLayout: default.  This is the component for the Create Bank Account dialog.  The second popup component right below is for the Edit Bank Account dialog.  Select the first popup component and right click on Edit.

    image2019-10-28_13-49-49.png?version=2&modificationDate=1572366359000&api=v2

    7. On the Component Properties: popup dialog, change the Content Delivery to immediate. Click OK.

    image2019-10-28_13-54-4.png?version=2&modificationDate=1572366385000&api=v2

    8. You can now edit properties of any of these UI components belonging to the create bank account popup. Since the use case is to make the  Account Name required, locate inputText: Account Name in the list of the UI components and click to edit the property of the component.

    image2019-10-28_13-56-24.png?version=2&modificationDate=1572366418000&api=v2

    9. Make the field Required and click OK.

    image2019-10-28_13-58-32.png?version=3&modificationDate=1572366138000&api=v2

    10. Since the configuration on create bank account popup does not reflect on the edit bank account popup, you need to perform same steps for the edit bank account dialog as well. Locate edit popup using details in step 6 above and perform steps 7 to 9 for it.

    11. Bank Account Name is then required for both Create and Edit Bank Account dialogs.

    image2019-10-28_14-5-25.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572296725000&api=v2

    image2019-10-28_14-6-32.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572296792000&api=v2

    12. Publish the sand box changes.

    Points to Consider:

    • After the configuration, Account Name is now required for all supplier registration flows, including both internal and external supplier registrations as the same dialog is shared between both flows.
    • You don't need to repeat the same steps for create and edit flows if the same popup is being used for both places.
    • You can follow these steps if you are not able to configure other dialogs in design view.

How to configure Supplier Registration Approved Email notification using Business Intelligence Publisher template
    Summary:
Steps to configure Supplier Registration Approved Email notification using Business Intelligence Publisher template.
    Content:

Summary: Steps to configure Supplier Registration Approved Email notification using Business Intelligence Publisher template.

    Description:

Buying organizations can include additional information to be sent to the supplier by configuring the email notifications using BIP.

E.g: In the Supplier Registration Approved Email notification, if you want to add a paragraph detailing the organizations quality policies and also want to display additional information dependent upon a supplier registration attribute, then follow the below steps:

    Note:

    1. In order to configure the BIP template the user should have the role: BI Administrator.
    2. This feature is opt in controlled. You need to enable feature Configure Supplier Registration Approval Decision Notifications with Business Intelligence Publisher.

Step 1: Create a copy of the template

Sign in to Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher. In the Suppliers Business Intelligence Catalog, locate the External Supplier Registration Approved FYI Email Report template, and then click Customize. This creates a copy of the template in your Custom folder.

    image2019-10-31_11-45-39.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572502540680&api=v2

Step 2: Download and install BI publisher word add-in

If BI publisher add-in is not installed for word you can download it from the below link:

    https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-publisher/downloads/index.html

    Step 3: Download sample data

Sample data will be required in order to add additional supplier registration attributes to the template. Sample data contains a list of supplier registration attributes along with sample values for these attributes. This when loaded to the template gives you a list of the supplier registration attributes which can be added to the template. Furthermore the sample data is also useful when you want to preview a report for the configuration done.

To download the sample data follow the below steps:

Edit the External Supplier Registration Approved Email Data Model available under the Data Models folder.

    screenshot1.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572501032000&api=v2

Click on the properties from the panel on the left hand side. Download and save the sample.xml

    2.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572501071000&api=v2

Note: If the sample data does not contain the required attributes, you can edit the sample.xml file using notepad and manually add the required tag and value combination under the correct mapping set.

To fetch the correct Tag Name and mapping set, open the data model, Click on the Data Sets from the panel on the left hand side and go to Structure tab. XML Tag Names and their mapping sets are listed here.

    datamodel.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572501102161&api=v2

Step 4:  Customizing the copy of the seeded template.

    1. Go to Custom folder> Procurement> Suppliers > External Supplier Registration Approved FYI Email Report template. Click on Edit and download the ExtSuppRegNotifApprovalFYIReport.rtf.
    2. Go to BI publisher tab and load sample.xml saved in Step 3.
       3.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572501122090&api=v2
    3. Adding text content: Go to the Insert tab, expand ‘Quick Parts’ to see available pre-existing layouts which can be used to configure the template.
To add text choose BIP Paragraph of Text from the list.
      4.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572501145000&api=v2
Add text which is to be displayed in the email.
      5.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572501165000&api=v2
    4. Adding an attribute from the data model to conditionally display content on the BIP report:
We can also add conditions on any of the supplier attribute to conditionally display content. Example given below shows how to use DFF attribute to conditionally display content on the email. DFF attribute ATTRIBUTE20 is used in the supplier registration to capture the supplier response to the question on the buying organization’s quality policies.
    • To add a condition click on Conditional Region under BI publisher tab.
    • Under General: Select the required attribute from the Data field list. Select the corresponding data type.
    • Under Condition1: Manually enter the value expected to satisfy the condition.
    • Add the required content to be displayed inside the conditional tags <C><EC> as shown below.
      12.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572501190212&api=v2

Step 5:   Viewing a sample report for the customization.

Note: Temporarily delete the portion highlighted in yellow before viewing a sample. Paste it back after viewing the sample report.

These tags are references to other folders in the BI and hence will throw error when we try to view a sample report locally.

Under BI publisher tab click on any of the formats to view a sample report.

    15.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572501214000&api=v2

Sample report in the pdf format.

    14.PNG?version=1&modificationDate=1572501238878&api=v2

Step 6: Save the template and upload it back into the BI publisher.

Under Custom folder> Procurement> Suppliers > External Supplier Registration Approved FYI Email Report, note down the layout name and delete the existing template. Click on Upload to upload the configured template. Please note to use the existing name for layout name. For External Supplier Registration Approved FYI Email Report template the layout name is ExtSuppRegNotifApprovedFyi.

    image2019-10-31_11-47-30.png?version=1&modificationDate=1572502650267&api=v2

Once the upload is complete click on View a list on the top right corner and verify that the Default Layout checkbox is checked.

How to customize External Supplier Registration pages
    Summary:
A step by step guide to customize External Supplier Registration pages
    Content:

Process to access customization UI on External Supplier Registration pages is slightly different from the one followed for pages used by users internal to your organization.

This topic explains how to access the UI and subsequently customize the External Supplier Registration page. As an example, we will modify the Instruction Text available on the Company Details train stop of the External Supplier Registration page.

NOTE The steps below are also available in the attached PDF document: Customize External Supplier Registration Pages.pdf.

    A. How to access customization UI on External Supplier Registration pages

    1. Invoke the External Supplier Registration URL provided. NOTE: This URL is available on the setup task: Configure Procurement Business Function.

    2. Login as a user with the Procurement Application Administrator role. NOTE: You may see an error: The Supplier Registration page cannot be found. Check the URL and try again. This error can be ignored.

    3. Replace the URL with the External Supplier Registration URL retrieved in Step 1.

    4. Access Manage Sandboxes to create a new sandbox.

    5. Create a new sandbox and activate it. NOTE: Activating the sandbox, will take you to the Fusion Applications homepage or the springboard as it is commonly known. Simply replace the URL with the External Supplier Registration URL again like in Step 3.

    6. Navigate to the 'Customize Supplier Registration Pages' menu option available under the user menu on the top right of the page.
      image2018-6-25_11-14-14.png?version=1&modificationDate=1530134962000&api=v2

    7. Provide values for the mandatory fields Company, D-U-N-S Number, Tax Organization Type, Contact Information before proceeding ahead.
    8. Navigate to the Select tab on the customization UI.

    image2018-6-25_11-18-7.png?version=1&modificationDate=1530134962000&api=v2

    B. Modify instruction text on External Supplier Registration page

    1. After navigating to Select tab, click on the instruction text that you need to personalize. Clicking the instruction text will show Edit Component option.

      image2018-6-29_11-13-19.png?version=1&modificationDate=1530295999000&api=v2

    2. Click on the Edit Component option. To change the text of the instruction text, click on the arrow next to the Value field. From the list of options, click Override and then click Expression Builder to enter the new text as shown in following screen shots.

      image2018-6-29_11-14-38.png?version=1&modificationDate=1530296078923&api=v2

      image2018-6-29_11-15-35.png?version=1&modificationDate=1530296135714&api=v2

      image2018-6-29_11-17-21.png?version=1&modificationDate=1530296241961&api=v2

      image2018-6-29_11-18-36.png?version=1&modificationDate=1530296316699&api=v2

    3. Click OK to close the popup. Verify the changed instruction text on the Company Details page.

      image2018-6-29_11-19-31.png?version=1&modificationDate=1530296372078&api=v2

    4. Once the changes are final, you need to publish the sandbox so that the change is available to all the users.

      Point to consider:

Use this page composer approach to change a string when you need the string changed for a page. If you need to change the string on all the pages across the application i.e. to reflect the change on all the pages that have this string used, use User Interface Text instead. Refer to earlier post 'How to edit an instruction text using User Interface Text feature?' for more details on User Interface Text.
