Is there a way to limit segment value security to allow charging in iproc and iexpense, but not allow viewing in GL? I want to lock certain natural accounts from being viewed the general ledger, but let them be charged in requisitions and expenses, is this possible? Currently we are receiving an error "This combination cannot be used: it either does not exist, or using it here is not permitted." when I try to create a requisition with one of these restricted accounts.

    Content:

Is there a way to have natural account segment security and have it only apply when viewing general ledger data? I have payroll accounts I want to lock down,so users cannot view the general ledger details. I want the users to be able to enter requisitions or expense reports charging these accounts. When I enable segment value security on natural account users cannot enter requisitions charging to the locked GL accounts.

    Content:

    Hi

I have a SQL query with this table for diagnostic. However, I cannot see data into XLA_TRANSACTION_ENTITIES table.

I want to know if this issue is for missing role or it is other cause, because Payables and Receivables transactions have been posted in General Ledger.

This is critical in some reports, because they are used in LACLS Colombia Cloud financial process and Subledger Financial Reports.

    Thanks.

    Cristian.

Restrict Reporting Currency/Ledger for manual entry
    Content:

We have a requirement to keep all data flow to Reporting Currency from Primary Ledger through conversion only which is set at Journal level right now. We wish to restrict access on Reporting Currency so that none of business user can enter any journal directly to Reporting Currency. Users should be able to create and post journals in Primary Ledger though and this process should be creating corresponding journal in Reporting Currency as well.

Please share what are the best practices to achieve this.

    Hello team ,

Please help me identify what role privilege we need to add to a role in order for the GL user to see the Requiring my approval Tab in GL

We have the approval setup done and it is working.

Over the weekend a role clean up was performed and the approvers do not see the tab anymore.

    Thanks

Journal approval follows the employee supervisor hierarchy and once the journal is reviewed and approved the approver should have the ability to post the journal.
    Content:

    Hi,

One of the requirements for General Ledger posting is the preparer should not be able to post. Using sandbox customization we hid the 'POST' button on Create Journal UI to restrict user to post, but how can we prevent preparer to post the spreadsheet journals?

And , Journal approval follow the employee supervisor hierarchy and once the journal is reviewed and approved the approver should have the ability to post the journal. Using supervisory hierarchy GL approval rules, we are able to send the journal for approval. However unable to post automatically upon the approval?  How can we achieve this?

    Can you please advise.

    Thanks

    Mani

    Title:
    Salary Breakdown
    Content:

    Hi all,

Wanted some opinions regarding an use case.

We have payroll journals coming to ERP. In legacy software, there is a custom table from where they can drill down and see salary information which is interfaced there from payroll system. In Oracle cloud we have ERP, PRC and PPM including EPBCS. We do not have Paas.

The use case is to store the data somewhere in Oracle cloud and ability to drill down from a TB report. The data has to kept secure and salary information is sensitive data. Even if we don't get drill down functionality, we may have some kind of report to run within ERP to see the breakdown of salary information for particular payroll journals.

    Thanks,

    Kallol
