    Hi All,

    There is a opt in feature of 19C namely "Allocation Rule Name as Reconciliation reference, we have enabled this feature however still not able to see any information/data under reconciliation reference. Is there any other configuration that we need to perform for this feature to work and where can we view this?

    Thanks

    Hi all,

    On the Account Hierarchy setup page, upon trying to add a new value to the tree, you get a popup.

    In below example I'm trying to add a new value to parent '000'. But as you can see in red, values that have already been assigned to a parent also remain in the 'available node' list.

    Is there anyway to disable this, to prevent from mistakes being made?
    Thanks.

    Account Monitor: Parent values not showingAnswered2

    Account Monitor: Parent values not showing
    Summary:
    Parent values not showing in the dropdowns in Account Monitor
    Content:

    Hi,

    We have a rather straightforward setup:

    COA 01 -> Ledger 01 -> Data Access Set 01
    COA 03 -> Ledger 03 -> Data Access Set 03
    COA 04 -> Ledger 04 -> Data Access Set 04
    COA 20/21 -> Ledger 20 & Ledger 21 -> Data Access Set 20 & Data Access Set 21

    When creating an Accounting Group in the Account Monitor for 01/03 or 04, I see all the values for the natural accounts just fine (including parent values like '6' which groups all expense accounts).

    When creating an Accounting Group for the shared COA 20/21, opening the dropdown for natural account, only the child values are there, not the parent values.

    The account hierarchy is built, active, audited and flattened, published.

    Any idea why these parent values don't show in the natural account dropdown?

    Thanks.
    Jim

    Content:

    Hello experts!

    For the "Upload Corporate Card Transactions" scheduled process, the message in the email notifications sent upon process success/warning/error  contains a UTC timezone, so it is requested that the text be changed to indicate that it is UTC timezone (it is not currently indicated and causes confusion).

    Please let me know your insights,

    Adding a segment label to existing CoAAnswered55.0

    Title:
    Adding a segment label to existing CoA
    Summary:
    Need to qualify a segment as Cost Center for use in approval rules
    Content:

    I am working on setting up AP invoice approval rules, based on the Distribution Cost Center Segment line-level attribute. The existing chart of accounts did not have a segment labeled as Cost Center.

    I have added the segment label to the appropriate segment in Manage Key Flexfields -> Manage Structures. However, the workflow still does not seem to recognize the segment as Cost Center and rejects the invoices that should be routing under this rule.

    Are there any other steps required to add a segment label, other than simply adding the label itself?

    Allocation based on Account balance (without STAT...3

    Title:
    Allocation based on Account balance (without STAT journal)
    Summary:
    Allocation based on Account balance
    Content:

    Hi All,

    I would like to know if anyone has achieved similar allocation as below:

    Scenario:

    Jan-19 PTD Balances are as follows:

    A1) All expenses are recorded in Account    50001 and product 101 , say 100 USD (This is for expenses belong to both product 101 and 102)

    B1) Revenue is correctly recorded against : 40001 and product 101, say 200 USD

    B2) Revenue is correctly recorded against :  40002 and product 102, say 100 USD

    I would like to allocate Expenses from 50001.101 to 50002.102 based on % revenue derived from B1 and B2 ). i.e, Target amount A2 = (B2/B1+B2) * A1

    Offset Account = A1

    As seen above, the allocation is based on balance instead of STAT journal. Is this possible using either formula or Allocation ? Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Sunil

    Allocation journal not posting following GL allocations...9

    Allocation journal not posting following GL allocations process
    Content:

    Hello,

    The Generate GL allocation process is successfully ran when the right accounting period is chosen for the created rule. There are two jobs successfully completed: Allocate GL balance & Generate Allocation. There is no job line for Post allocation journal and I believe there should be. When I then go into manage journals and select the same accounting period and the source as allocations, there are no results.

    Please let me know your insights on this,

    ANNOUNCEMENT: Opt-In Features with Expiry Dates2

    Title:
    ANNOUNCEMENT: Opt-In Features with Expiry Dates
    Summary:
    Some Opt-In Features introduced since Update 19B have expiry dates, be aware that at this point they will become automatically enabled and you may need to prepare for this
    Content:

    Opt-In Features allow you to uptake functionality at a time that suits you.

    This post is to advise that some Financials Opt-In features introduced in Updates 19B and 19C have an expiration date as future functionality depends on them. When the Opt-In Expiry date is reached, these features will automatically be opted-in as part of the update. You need to be aware of these and plan for them, as they may affect your users even if you did not actively opt-in to that feature.

    The attached document contains information on all Financials and Accounting Hub Opt-In features that are due to become automatically enabled in future updates, so that you can plan for them within the timescales given. Once a feature is automatically opted-in, you may still need to take additional setup or configuration steps to enable the feature. If you do not perform these additional steps, the feature will be opted-in automatically but you will not be able to use it.

    Please don’t ignore this – it is important and might well affect you.

    If you have any questions or comments, feel free to add them as replies to this post.

    With thanks,

    Zoë - Oracle Financials Strategy
