    API call's in which comma[encoded] in the URL request...5.0

    Title:
    API call's in which comma[encoded] in the URL request params are getting failed with response code 401
    Content:

    Sample URL: https://objectstorage.us-ashburn-1.oraclecloud.com/n/namespace/b/bucket-XYZ?fields=approximateCount,approximateSize

    We are using DefaultHttpClient to handle http connections & URLs are encoded using URLEncodedUtils.format() method.

    After encoding:  https://objectstorage.us-ashburn-1.oraclecloud.com/n/namespace/b/bucket-XYZ?fields=approximateCount%2CapproximateSize

    Why the calls are getting failed when encoded? I tried this in postman as well & the result is same.

    Is this anything related to Oracle Cloud Server's not accepting the encoded values? Not sure.

    Any suggestions?

    How to monitor user managed DB systems like the same way we do for autonomous databases?
    Content:

    For monitoring Oracle Autonomous databases, we use SummarizeMetricsData API to collect the metrics listed here (https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/Database/References/databasemetrics.htm). Is it possible to collect the metrics like the same way for Bare metal, VM & Exadata DB systems? In the docs, monitoring is mentioned via Enterprise manager database control.

    Oracle Cloud Free Tier - Autonomous DB - Cannot connect3

    Title:
    Oracle Cloud Free Tier - Autonomous DB - Cannot connect
    Summary:
    ATP - Neither APEX Link, nor SQL Dev Web Link, nor connect using local SQL Dev 19.2 works
    Content:

    Hi all,

    I just wanted to give Oracle Cloud a test drive using the newly announced Always Free tier. But sadly, after provisioning ATP DB instance (serverless), I found that I cannot use it at all.

    In the service console (Development), neither of the APEX link nor the SQL Developer Web links work. Both give the below error message (see image)

    Furthermore, when I try to connect with a locally installed SQL Developer 19.2 using the connect option "Cloud Wallet" and specifying the download wallet.zip, SQL Developer displays the error message (in german): "Status: Nicht erfolgreich - Test nicht erfolgreich: I/O Fehler: Remote host closed connection during handshake".

    Now lastly, when I try to use a locally installed 11.2.0.4 client (I merged sqlnet.ora and tnsnames.ora from wallet.zip with my already present files residing in my TNS_ADMIN directory, I have unzipped wallet.zip, and in sqlnet.ora I have modified: "WALLET_LOCATION = (SOURCE = (METHOD = file) (METHOD_DATA = (DIRECTORY="D:\\Oracle\\tnsadmin\\Wallet_PS1")))"...

    Now when I tnsping my instance, it gives:

    d:\Users\Peter>tnsping ps1_high

    TNS Ping Utility for 64-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.4.0 - Production on 29-SEP-2019 17:36:50

    Copyright (c) 1997, 2013, Oracle.  All rights reserved.

    Used parameter files:
    D:\Oracle\tnsadmin\sqlnet.ora

    Used TNSNAMES adapter to resolve the alias
    Attempting to contact (description= (address=(protocol=tcps)(port=1522)(host=adb.eu-frankfurt-1.oraclecloud.com))(connect_data=(service_name=slfrbg3r0ej3ocb_ps1_high.atp.oraclecloud.com))(security=(ssl_server_cert_dn= CN=adwc.eucom-central-1.oraclecloud.com,OU=Oracle BMCS FRANKFURT,O=Oracle Corporation,L=Redwood City,ST=California,C=US)))
    TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

    So, nothing seems to work at all, and I'm completey lost.

    Can anyone help, please?

    Thanks and regards,

    Peter

    REST Data Services - 503 Service Unavailable - connection pool is not correctly configured - No more data to read from socket
    Content:

    Can you please help us fix this?

    This is a brand new Autonomous Transaction Processing Database instance recently provisioned.

    The provisioning part worked well, but we get this same error when attempting to connect via either APEX or SQL Developer Web.

    We have a CSI, but apparently it takes 48 hours to activate, so MOS is unwilling to help us until that time.

    Have been talking and chatting with MOS and Cloud Support for 12 hours trying to get this resolved.

    Come on Oracle you can do better than this...much room for improvement for a first time Cloud customer experience! You call that CX yes!?

    Hi Team,

    I am encountered an issue while creating database backup using create_backup_from_onprem script in OCI CLI. i noticed object storage namespace is not correct while executing backup script.

    Getting error while running create_backup_from_onprem

    [oracle@oracledev oci-cli-scripts]$ ./create_backup_from_onprem --config-file /home/oracle/.oci/config --display-name testimport01 --availability-domain $AD --edition STANDARD_EDITION --opc-installer-dir /home/oracle/migrate --tmp-dir /home/oracle/migrate/onprem_upload --compartment-id $C --rman-password *****

    and parameter.log

     Either the bucket named 'iF0ydees7V0yWxyuAYtF' does not exist in the namespace 'dbbackupbom' or you are not authorized to access it

    However, my correct namespace is bmnoo8fd7ute

    [oracle@oracledev oci-cli-scripts]$ oci os ns get
    {
    "data": "bmnoo8fd7ute"
    }

     Not sure how to correct object storage namespace in CLI. could you please any help me on this?

    Is there a API that returns all the compartments including root compartment?
