    Hi Bob

Can you let me know how do Oracle Patches disrupt Customisation? I need to know as I think the latest patch deleted some of our rates.

    Thanks

    Hello Ricardo,

Would you be so kind sending me part of the script, since we are facing the same request from our clients? I'm not actually a technical consultant, but I absolutely understand what needs to be done, so I think that it would be very helpflul for me. I would really appreciate it :) Here's my mail in case you would like to send me: mihajlob1991@gmail.com

    Thanks, BR, Mihajlo

    Thanks,

This could also work if I can't find anything else. I was looking for something less "manual"; we have a custom on-demand rule and we need to copy rates between scenarios everytime the rule is executed.

You can use copy data feature in FCCS.

    Navigation:

    Navigator - Under application(Overview) - Actions - Copydata

Normally you would expect the PUH setup to address this but no go with FCCS. The tool naturally does not let the person who creates it to approve a journal. We use that to our benefit here.

What we did here was to block everyone from posting Journals (using dimensional security) and then open it up specifically. Of course we significantly control our topsides in FCCS due to the work involved with security locking.

    Hi

it's for export the attribute that's associated to entity dimension.

  • Elena Medrano

    Hi Krishnan,

That could be an option, thanks. I will try that way....

    Hi Caitlin,

What do you mean by it zeroed out? Are the values 0 or #Missing? I have not till now seen any base level data just getting overwritten in FCCS. BTW, what is the level 0 node you have in the movements dimension?

    Regards,

  • Krishnan Venkatachalam

    HI Carolina,

Generally you NEVER post an elimination entry at the entity itself as that could cause an issue with the standalone Balance Sheet. Any reason why you are trying to do this? Or did I misread the ask?

    Regards,

  • Krishnan Venkatachalam

DM could be a possible option to extract and load the rates again. Does that option work for you?

Yes, a UDA entry of "Flows" might have come from an imported CSV file. The seeded members of the Movement dimension (members that begin with "FCCS") do not have UDA entries.

  • Gianluca Natili

Thank you for your answer. I found this UDA in the Movement dimension. For the Movement dimension in my app, I used an import file csv extracted from a sample app (or other app used for training).

Maybe the UDA comes from there.

    Thank you

    Gianluca

    Gianluca,

There are no seeded UDA field entries in the Movement dimension (nor in any other dimension that I can find).

The Account dimension Time-balance property can be selected as either "Balance" or "Flow" but I can see no other "Flows" entries in any of my applications.

Which Movements members are you seeing a "Flows" UDA entry against? Are you sure that these weren't user-entered?

If you add your own additional movement members, there are no UDA entry requirements. If you use the Indirect Cash Flow reporting, then you need to add your new movement to the Cash Flow hierarchy in the Movement dimension as a shared member (see the Admin Guide for details), but that is all.

Thanks Nancy Ackerman. I was searching for any tool if oracle has, the way we have for financial reporting.

Under "Exchange Rate Form - Multi Period" you can change the POV as per the your requirement and when you move the SEK to POV then at EUR you have to input 10.6315. I am not sure why the  translation is not working as per the updated FX rate.

Do you have any SR raised with Support? If yes, can you let me know the SR number, I would take a look.
