    Custom Sort - BIP Pivot
    Content:

Hi - I have a pivot table I am using through BIP and I need to apply a custom sort to it.  I added an Order By to the DM, but it's not applying that to the pivot, maybe because I don't have that field displayed in the pivot?

Any help on this would be appreciated, thank you!

After generating an Excel file with the BI Publisher the sheet is grey and the data is not visible. But the data is there and can be seen in the small field in the header. After saving and reopening the file the sheet looks normal.

    What is wrong here?

    Convert Date Field

    Convert from MM/DD/YYYY to YYYY-Qx
    Content:

    Hello,

I have a date field I want to convert. I want to convert that from MM/DD/YYY to "YYYY-Qx". Any thoughts on how to do this? I've tried using the Calendar functions in the formula. They work, but don't get me the exact above format. I have to use two separate columns. One gets the quarter number so, in the example above, it would just say "1". The other column I'm able to get the year "2020". When I try do a Concat in the 3rd column, I get syntax error b/c I think it doesn't like to concatenate formulas apparently. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Stephanie

Can Oracle supports the subdomain email option (using custom mailfrom)?
    Content:

    Hi,

we are getting undelivery notifications when we are using company domain email address in from email.
    Ex: abcd@company.com

in Sr suggested that add oracle.com in company email domain server. we have conclusion from network team that we don't touch the SPF record of company domain email server as suggested in the SRs .

So we are trying to use email address which is subdomain of company.
    Ex:Example email: infmhcm@hcm.company.com

Our network team need confirmation about below points.

    • Whether Oracle supports the subdomain option (using custom mailfrom)
    • Are these mails purely inbound ?

Please let us know if anyone knows about above two points.

    Regards
    Shashi Kiran

BI Scheduled Report Job and Daylight Savings Time
    Summary:
We had a scheduled that ran an hour early after daylight savings time ended
    Content:

There is a scheduled report job that runs at 5:30am each wednesday.  With daylight savings time ending this past weekend, the job ran at 4:30am instead of 5:30am.  The schedule was set up to run at 5:30 Eastern Time, but it doesn't say EST/EDT.  I did update the start date to next week in an effort to get it to run back at 530am but wasn't sure if anyone had any advise to ensure that the system runs this at the same time no matter daylight savings time.

This report is based off of an HCM extract in the system, and that process worked as expected with the daylight savings time change, only BI had the issue.

    Data Model Parameters
    Content:

I am building a data model for an RTF letter using ‘Oracle BI EE’ as the Data Source. The data model requires
parameters but when I try to add the SQL code, I get no results. Are there any
examples of how to write the SQL for parameters when using
Oracle BI EE as the data source?

I have attached a simplified version of the report with the SQL that I have tried for the parameters. I do not get any error messages but no data is returned.
