'Publish for Subscription' in OTBI Agent4

'Publish for Subscription' in OTBI Agent
    Content:

Hi, can anyone point me to any information on how to best utilise this feature within OTBI agents. Ideally I am looking to establish a way to set an agent to notify recipients when an analysis has been run and data produced but not physically send it as an attachment (due to the inability to password protect the file).  I wondered if the Subscription functionality is the way to do this but I haven't really used it before so am a little unsure of what it's meant to do

Apologies if this is documented somewhere obvious, I just can't seem to find anything.

    Many thanks

    Linda

    Content:

Are we able to change the text on the "Searching..." pop up that appears when an analysis is loading? See attached. We have some reports that are very large and take several minutes to load. Ideally, I'd like the message to say "Running. Report may take a few minutes to load."

Absence Leave Amount & Payroll Element Name
    Content:

    Good Day,

We have been tasked to create a report where anyone who has booked less than a full days leave is highlighted.   This in its self is very easy and achievable.
But there is a second requirement, the requesting team then want this/these people to only be highlighted if they have a Recurring Element in the "Payroll" - "Element Name" field.

We have tried various different computations and realignments, also going onto Advanced Tab and then to apply sql after the relevant marker has been ticked.   And still no joy.   There are a minimum of 6 subfolders that match the SA's together as well.

It always errors with this "No fact table exists at the requested level of detail"

    Any advice please,

    Thank you

    Add Password to Report EditingAnswered35.0

    Add Password to Report Editing

Can I add a password to a file to prevent some from opening/editing it?
    Content:

Hi all - is it possible to add a password to a OTBI or BIP file to prevent anyone from opening it to view the code/set-up or to edit it?  I, as well as others on our team, work on some confidential projects and do not want others to be able to modify the report and see the code that we have set-up, which could in turn tell people information they shouldn't know (EX: List of employees that might receive a special bonus, specific person numbers are used to pull salary information and using formulas to do specific calculations).

I know that I can use "My Folders", but this does not allow for anyone else to see it - sometimes I may need someone to see the file to either run it themselves or edit it with me.

Is this possible?  Or does anyone have a recommendation of how to manage this otherwise?

Adding new columns to a single view changes all views3

Adding new columns to a single view changes all views
    Content:

Is there a setting that will stop this from happening?  I have several reports that have multiple views.  My main pivot table has many columns and then I have some aggregate views using pivots.  When I add new columns to the main pivot table (view) it also adds it to all other views in the report.  I then have to edit each and every view to remove the column.  Can this functionality be turned off?  It takes quite a while to open and edit each and every additional view in the report just to remove the column that was added.

    Thanks for your help!
