    "Try it" download the OPA Mobile App

    Curious about Policy Automation capabilities?

    You can download the mobile app on the App store or Google play.  You will have access sample interview projects including:

    • Airline Cancelled/Delayed Flight Compensation, Business License Wizard and Energy Saver for customer self-service, Insurance Picker for tailored policy advice, Know Your Customer - for customer on-boarding

    These demonstrations are publicly available.  To access the OPA app:

    • Download on the AppStore / GooglePlay
    • To access the sample interviews, there is no need to connect to Server
    • When prompted to connect, skip that step.

    'Microsoft Word does not appear to be installed' error when opening Word rules

    Do you have resolution for this issue.  I used to be able to open Word rules.  Is it related to 18B upgrade?

    A challenge: relating on the fly two entities created separately

    Hi all!

    I have stumbled on the following business requirement, and don't quite know how to solve it. I have some ideas but always seem to stumble on something half way through.

    1. We have a Custom Object A, which is a child of an OSvC incident. Instances of these objects are created by one set of users as part of their normal workflow in an OPA interview.
    2. We then have a Custom Object B, which is also a child of an OSvC incident. Instances of these are created in a different interview, by a different set of users at a different time.
    3. Obj B is a parent of Obj A as defined in the Custom Objects Configuration on OSvC.
    4. On OPA, Obj B is loaded in as an entity via the incident.
    5. On OPA, Obj A is defined as a sub-entity contained by Obj B.

    My requirement is to have a screen in the interview for each loaded instance of Obj B (easy bit). In each of the screens, the interview should show a list of instances of Obj A that have not yet been assigned to a particular instance of Obj B. It should then allow for individual instances of Obj A to be selected and assigned to the Obj B for that particular screen.

    How can this be done? I'm thinking it might have to involve javascript, but hoping it might not!

    Anyone up for the challenge?

    Accessing OPA through webservices and implement that in RightNow

    How easy it is to access OPA web determination using webservices and present the questions inside a rightnow page preferably through widgets without the use of iFrames.

    if there are any samples out there that I can follow.?

    The custom OPA widget mentioned in this documentation uses iFrames

    Thank you,

    Add a graph to an interviewAnswered2

    Add a graph to an interview
    Want to add a summary graph to effectively a Quiz-type interview

    The questions on our interview build up a picture of the user's data which we would like to present back to them at the end of the interview as a graph or a chart.

    Has anyone done this and has an example.

    Can we only do it by embedding some html? If so, can the html use the data collected to build the graph/chart?

    After embedding the interview in an application, how to enable the Submit button to redirect to...

    Hi there,

    We have created an interview and successfully embedded into another application:

    <script src="https://murdoch-opa--tst1.custhelp.com/web-determinations/staticresource/interviews.js"></script>
    <div style="display: inline-block; width:100%">
        <div id="future_learn" style="width: 100%; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right:auto; float: left"></div>
        var el = document.getElementById("future_learn");
        var webDeterminationsUrl = "https://murdoch-opa--tst1.custhelp.com/web-determinations";
        var deploymentName = "FutureLearn_tst";
        OraclePolicyAutomationEmbedded.StartInterview(el, webDeterminationsUrl, deploymentName );

    The question is how to set a redirect when user finish the interview and click the Submit button? See image below. Currently it just stays at the page and going nowhere.

    Any advice?

    Many thanks,

    Append Incident in OPA Redirect URL

    Append Incident in OPA Redirect URL

    I am using Aug 2016 version of Policy Modeling.  I have simple incident creation interview with some calculation also used a custom controller which only supported by Aug 2016 version of the Policy Modeling.  After this incident creation, the page needs to redirect to a payment page(customer portal page).

    I am facing the following issues:

    1) In Customer Portal the interview loads in iframe only. So, the redirect doesn't render properly from iframe to customer portal page.

    2)I have configured this payment in a Customer Portal widget.  So I need to append incident ID along with the payment redirect URL.

    Can anyone help me out of this?
