    OPA Mobile App function

    Title:
    OPA Mobile App function
    Summary:
    Submit function isn't advancing to last screen
    Content:

    Hello,

    The OPA Mobile app doesn't seem to advance to the last screen in the interview (the one marked as always being shown) after the submit button is pressed, nor after syncing a completed interview and returning to look at it.

    Also, It seems like the model isn't reacting to information retrieved after submit, until a button is clicked.

    Is this a bug?

    How to create an entity instance programmatically2

    How to create an entity instance programmatically
    Content:

    Does anyone know how to create an entity instance programmatically?  Based on selection on a form I need instances of and entity created, the data of which will come from an AJAX call.

    I can see we can do CustomEntityCollect controls (see previous post) but this is not exactly what I want to do.  I just want to know the syntax for instance.add method, or whatever it is.

    I can see drilling into the interview object that there is a method called generateEntityInstance but there is not documentation anywhere on this, or any other way to add an entity instance via code.  It must be able to be done surely?

    Create a new OPA site with the Configuration AssistantAnswered1

    Title:
    Create a new OPA site with the Configuration Assistant
    Content:

    I'm in the process of creating a new OPA site using the Configuration Assistant. The new OPA site should be integrated with a just newly created OSvC Site.

    I have just created a new OSvC site with a specific site name: <osvc_sitename>.

    The main OSvC interface URL is based on the site name just given: <osvc_sitename>.custhelp.com

    When creating a new OPA site I'm asked again to provide the name of the OPA site, and consequently the URL.

    OPA site name: <opa_sitename>

    OPA URL: <opa_sitename>.custhelp.com

    Could you please confirm me the following:

    • The OPA site name must be different from the OSvC site name.
    • The OPA URL is the URL of the OPA Hub

    Once created do I have to manually integrate the newly created OSvC and OPA site?

    Thanks

    Does anyone have a working copy of CustomEntityCollect?

    Title:
    Does anyone have a working copy of CustomEntityCollect?
    Summary:
    There is so little information on how to use CustomEntityCollect
    Content:

    Hi all,

    I can't find the life of me find an example of how to use the CustomEntityCollect extension.

    I have a need to manually create several entity instances in code after some actions happen on a form.  I know that I need to use the CustomEntityCollect extension to do this, along with the getRows and addRows function, however I am at a loss as to how this should be done, and where I set the values of my textboxes to the appropriate interview values.

    Does anyone have a really simple example I can follow?  The documentation does not seem to have anything I can use.

    Thanks,

    Annie

    Javascript libraries not loading when embedded in div1
    Topic posted October 25, 2019 by Cy Routh
    Title:
    Javascript libraries not loading when embedded in div
    Summary:
    Custom javascript is working in debugger and iframe, but does not load in div
    Content:

    I have a client trying to embed an interview in a div on their site. The interview uses several javascript libraries for an interview extension (a leaflet map control). Everything works in the debugger, on the hub, and when embedded in an iframe. When we try to embed in a div, the libraries are not loaded/accessible. Client wants to pursue div over iframe due to the Safari domain mismatch issue.

    I think this is because the client site is using a module loader (AMD?). The control extension expects the libraries to be loaded into the browser's Global scope, but they're not there. I can see the files listed among the site's source files, but the OPA interview can't use them. Is there a way to define interview extensions that is compatible with javascript module loaders? I can figure out some basic javascript, but this module thing is a bit over my head right now.

    They're investigating some possible workarounds to disable their module loader when invoking the OPA interview, but it would be nice to be able to handle this sort of thing gracefully from within the interview extension.

    Cy

    Is it bad practice to access...Answered2

    Title:
    Is it bad practice to access control._source.config.listOptions ?
    Content:

    Hi all,

    I have a requirement that a list of values be retrieved via Ajax and pushed into a drop down list.  There are several ways I can do this but one way I've tried I like but not sure if its best practice.

    I have an attribute defined on my model as type Text.  I dropped the control for this on an interview screen as type Drop Down, with a customName property of "courseSearch".

    I set the default value for the drop down to "... loading ..".  Then I wrote some JS that looks like this:

    OraclePolicyAutomation.AddExtension({

    customInput: function (control, interview) {

    if (control.getProperty("customName") == "courseSearch"){

    var newOption = {

    displayText : "Option1",

    nodeDepth:1,

    rawDisplayText : "RawOption1",

    value: "1"

    };

    control._source.config.listOptions.push(newOption);

    }

    }

    })

    This works really well, and in practice I would iterate over an Ajax success object to populate the list.

    My question is - it doesn't feel like best practice to access

    control._source.config.listOptions

    directly (even though its just an array of objects).  Is there a better way to do this?

    Thanks in advance..

    Annie

    Populate an Entity based on Reference Relationship
    Topic posted October 23, 2019 by Gaston van de Weijer
    Title:
    Populate an Entity based on Reference Relationship
    Content:

    Hi!

    I'm trying to do the following and I can't get it to work. I've got an entity 'the item' and 'the box', and using a reference relationship, I let a user create 'the box' and select which of 'the item' is in 'the box'. This works.

    This is the result in the data model:

    Hence, this works as it should. However, in order to use this elsewhere, I want to populate 'the packed item', which is a child of 'the box'. In other words, all entities in the reference relationship 'the debrief item in the box' that are checked, should transfer to 'all instances of the packed item for the box'.

    How do I do this? I tried several ways but I cannot get it to work.

    Reference Relationship in BI Publisher1
    Topic posted October 22, 2019 by Gaston van de Weijer
    Title:
    Reference Relationship in BI Publisher
    Content:

    Hi,

    I created an interview which loads data about a certain order - it then needs to go into boxes and I need to create shipping labels

    1. The user adds an instance 'the box' and enters dimensions and more information.

    2. I created a relationship from 'the box' to 'the item' called 'the debrief item in the box'

    3. I added this relationship to the entity collect screen, so you can check which items will be in the box.

    4. The data overview displays exactly what I want:

    5. However, I cannot get this in BI publisher. I want an overview of items per box, however, I can't seem to pull this off. Once I create a 'for each' for every box, I can't add another 'for each' in there. I can't seem to add the items in this overview..

    How do I create a report with BI publisher with a page for a box and a list of items in the box below?
