Are there any publicly accessible hello-world/ simple ngnix/httpd docker images in Oracle container Registry?
    Content:

I am trying to create an App using Kubernetes Dashboard Deployment method. It is prompting to enter the following:

Enter the URL of a public image on any registry, or a private image hosted on Docker Hub or Google Container Registry.

Does anyone know about any sample container images( like a hello world or ngnix something that would display a sample Hello world page in browser) that can be pulled from any Oracle repositories?

    Please suggest

    Containers based on Windows15.0

    Containers based on Windows
    Content:

One of our main applications requires IIS with .Net Framework, which is platform-dependent and requires docker host on Windows, but Oracle Cloud Container Service and Oracle Application Container Service currently support Linux hosts only.

If we try to deploy official docker dotnet-framework image by Microsoft we get error:

ERROR Failed to pull image microsoft/dotnet-framework-samples:aspnetapp due to error no supported platform found in manifest list
Error: no supported platform found in manifest list

How can we ask Oracle to add containers based on Windows?

Oracle Container Registry support signed images?14.5

Oracle Container Registry support signed images?

I need to deploy (push and pull) signed images on Kubernetes
    Content:

As far I know Oracle Container Registry currently do not support signed images. Is it true? Is there any good workarounds for that. What is the gap from a normal kubernetes deployment using a unsigned image?

I need to have content trust in docker images. Content trust gives me the ability to verify both the integrity and the publisher of all the data received from a registry over any channel.

I am looking this for a production set.

    Regards

    Hi Folks,

maybe this is totally dumb but I am stuck.

Where is the switch to shutdown the OCCS?

Every Service I know up to now can be stopped by click at the Hamburger Menu on the right and click 'Stop'.

But there is no such entry in the Hamburger Menu of the OCCS.

Authentication in Application Container Cloud Service
    Content:

    Hi,

We are looking for creating services using Oracle Container Cloud Services. The services will be created using data from Oracle Service Cloud, and some On-Premise non oracle applications.

All the services will be built using nodeJS.

The challenge we are facing is with the security and authentication mechanism that we can use in OACCS.How do we do that and what will be the best practices to follow.

    Thanks.

    Oracle Container Cloud Service (OCCS)

Oracle Container Cloud Service - based on the technology and developed by the team that came from the StackEngine acquisition by Oracle - is a cloud native and Docker compatible container as a service (CaaS) solution integrated into the Oracle Cloud. It is enterprise ready and with comprehensive tooling to compose, deploy, orchestrate, schedule, and operate Docker container-based applications on the Oracle Cloud.  Designed for Dev, Dev/Test, DevOps, and Container Native use cases, OCCS enables self-healing scheduling, built-in service discovery, and CI/CD integrations via webhooks and REST API.

Check out the Oracle Container product site for more details, demos, or to just try it out.

OCCS and "intra-Oracle-cloud" rules connecting to...44.7

OCCS and "intra-Oracle-cloud" rules connecting to DBCS
    Summary:
OCCS and "intra-Oracle-cloud" rules connecting to DBCS
    Content:

    Hi,

Was reading   by on connecting to DBCS from a container in OCCS and I see it requires to open connections to DBCS from everywhere (the rule uses a Source as "PUBLIC-INTERNET", Destination as "DB" on port TCP Port 1521).

This means the DB accept connections from anywhere, doesn't sound like the ideal setup to me ...

Is there a plan to add OCCS to other Oracle cloud services as "source"? A way to enable a connection to my DBCS instance only from OCCS containers and not the public internet?

Or is OCCS for now something completely separate from other Oracle cloud things and so better to not expect some kind of "intra-Oracle-cloud" rules for communication between services?

The question can be asked on both places, DBCS and here, but as you are the last to join the party... (as far as I know )
