Without knowing the specifics of the situation and data set I could think of a couple of options. Have you explored using another movement besides TRCS_TBClosing (ie TBADJ) in your import format/mapping? If you go that route you'll need to consider the potential impact/use of the data in TBADJ for tax automation purposes. You could also explore creating a second adjustment entity set to hold the adjustments, and then enable parent tax calculation at the level where you want to perform the provision. For example, Entity B is the local level data set, and Entity C is the supplementary adjustment data set, both owned by Entity A where parent tax calc is enabled.

Thanks Ken. I have a client who is going to start their project soon and will likely need some IC eliminations, let me know if you would like to review their use case and I can connect you with the team.

    Thanks Ken,

So how should the application be configured so that Tax is calculated correctly at Legal Entity level as well as group.

    Please advice.

We are currently reviewing multiple customer's use cases for consolidation (elimination) for tax using the intercompany dimension.  It is requires additional consideration above financial consolidations as it will impact both the pre-tax amount and related tax calculation (i.e. total tax, current, deferred, no calculation, etc.) depending upon the transaction and elimination required.  Feel free to submit use cases directly to Ken Kramer, Tax Reporting Product Management, kenneth.kramer@oracle.com.

It is correct that the application currently requires elimination entities.

In TRCS, the eliminations have to dealt with creating Elimination Entities.

  • Rahul Gupta

Intercompany eliminations takes place as part of the consolidation process. For that to happen you must have designed and configured metadata to include ICP attribute for relevant entities and accounts. You may refer to admin guide for detailed steps on configuration of Intercompany dimension.

Tax Automation has been updated with the Sept 2019 release to include a source and target for Multi-GAAP rules.  For instance tax automation rules can operate on data in a different Multi-GAAP member and post to another Multi-GAAP member.

    Does this address your question?

  • Kenneth Kramer

Data reporting requirements for direct tax can be accessed through and/or stored in Tax Reporting.  Electronic data reporting can be done with Narrative Reporting similar to how CbCR filing is done now.

Changing the from email in Supplemental Data Manager did the trick. Thanks!

What are the tips for managing Multi-GAAP adjustments in the situation where these adjustments are only booked in detail at certain times of the year such as for statutory reporting or tax return preparation? For example P1 to P11 has a GL load in a different GAAP to the tax calculation and GAAP adjustments are not booked in the trial balance for monthly reporting. Tax calculations for these months would include estimates for the tax impact of GAAP adjustments. For P12 the GAAP adjustments are prepared and booked as a GAAP adjustment in the trial balance and tax calculations prepared on this basis.

    thanks

Similarly for Close Manager, it's under Applications -> Task manager -> Manage System Settings -> Email Notifications

    Hi Jerry,

If this is for SDM, please go under -> Application Cluster -> Supplemental Data Card -> System Settings.

OK. I found this. I tried changing the From Address. I'll check the email tomorrow.

    Thanks.

  • Jerry Ursetti

None of the boxes are checked.

I don't want to change the Notify Me options to Never until I know what these emails are. I don't necessarily want to stop the email. I want it to be clearer that it's coming from TRCS.

    Thanks.
