Questions that include an Intent & Q&A1
Topic posted Yesterday by Tim Simpson, tagged Bots, Virtual Assistant
    Title:
Questions that include an Intent & Q&A
    Summary:
Issues with Oracle DA when a question includes an intent as well as Q&A
    Content:

    Hi,

Our Oracle DA when asking a question that includes an Intent as well a Q&A you are given a display that requires clicking for the intent response to appear.

Example: Our greeting intent is triggered when a customer for eg. says Hello, Hi, Good afternoon etc. the intent auto responds and says Hello (see image 1)

If you ask a Q&A question you are provided with an answer (see image 2)

Now if you combine the Intent and the Question you are given 2 clickable options (see image 3), the intent (Hello) or the Q&A answer (View answers), these two options need to be clicked, however we feel it is pretty pointless for this particular intent to clicked as all it will say is Hello, and will not answer the question.

So we want to know if there is anyway to bypass the greeting intent (Hello) for scenarios such as when someone includes this particular intent alongside a Q&A.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Tim

    Hi All,

Im new here, this is my first post :)

Looking for some info regarding the Complete/Incomplete time frames for Oracle Digital assistant, as we have seen some chats marked complete or incomplete with quite a delay sometimes after quite a few hours. This is not happening for all chats but a fair few.

Is there an expected or estimated timeframe for when a chats should show up as complete or incomplete?

    Any info would be great.

    Regards,

    Tim

    Progressive updates with Digital Assistant..
    Content:

Several times, requests or interaction with enterprise application takes time which could go beyond 30 seconds quite often, it may not be best for digital assistant to not respond with anything and have user wonder what's going on... many chatbot platform provide feature known as "Progressive update"... could you help me locate any blog or documentation if this feature exists in ODA.. I understand one way to do would be.. custom component can reply with no transition and keep the turn though question would be how to keep the handle on the REST call made to backend systems...

Oracle Digital Assistant Cloud vs ODA SaaS
    Content:

So we have two versions of ODA one which is for Oracle SaaS and another which is for any use case, in order to advise clients, trying to understand if there is any functionality or feature difference or limitations.. listing down what i know so far...

    SaaS version should:

    • be connecting to SaaS, should not be used if skills involved is unrelated to Oracle SaaS product
    • comes in same identity domain as SaaS, example ERP Cloud
    • this is where, Oracle provided Digital Assistant (example HCM, ERP, EPM) will be deployed
    • customers can created new skills and assistants

Appreciate if you can add more or reference to any blog or documentation where we can find more..
