How can I provide ability for sales reps to create and edit Competitor?
    Content:

Only sys admins are able to create and edit Sales Competitors in OEC (19C), and we've been told that is by design - although I can't quite figure out the logic behind it.  Has someone found a way to circumvent this other than creating a custom object?

    I appreciate your thoughts!

    Thank you,

    Tiina

FlexField - Validators - how Boolean are managed in the...25.0

FlexField - Validators - how Boolean are managed in the Groovy expression
    Summary:
I would like to use a boolean flexfield in a groovy expression
    Content:

    Hello,

    Imagine 2 flexfields :

    • "Flag" is TRUE_FALSE
    • "Type" has a value set (having 4 values possible : H, B, N or L, each value having a specific functional signification)

I want to create a Validator in order to raise an error with the following rule:

    • If the Type is H or B or L and Flag is false, prompt the error 'Error Message'.

I thought it easy and so the expression is :

    (FlexSeg?.Type == 'H' || FlexSeg?.Type == 'B' || FlexSeg?.Type == 'L') && FlexSeg?.Flag == false

It is a valid expression but it prompt the error all the time.

Other working test : FlexSeg?.Type == 'H' prompt the error only if the Type = H in the UI

How should I write the expression to validate the rule?

    thanks for your help

ICM Offering becomes Incentives Feature in 19C; what are the changes in the service?
    Content:

Oracle Support was insistent that "nothing has changed". At the Cloud, an Offering and a Feature count for some difference shurely?

Is there a document/page that explains the thinking/vision behind the name, definition and roadmap of the 'Incentives' Feature of OSC? (and maybe additionally explain it versus the ICM Offering/ICM Cloud Service)

    Hi All,

I would like to know about exposing asset subtab in contacts. I can see the subtab is exposed in application composer pages but when I checked on UI the asset subtab is not available.

Does it needs any extra config? Please help me to understand this functionality.

    Regards,

    Rohit

    Managing attachments - Client profile5.0

    Managing attachments - Client profile
    Summary:
Maintain attachments - all versions - which support a client profile
    Content:

    Greetings,

We are currently implementing ERP and Sales Cloud; and our customer is questioning the functionality related clients profile attachments.

We are migrating from EBS to cloud, and that includes moving our client´s data. Part of it include attachments (i.e. pdfs) containing Tax Ids, certifications, pictures, etc. Customer needs to have stored all versions of those documents, to track for example if a certificate was renewed and provided year after year.

Our understanding is that once the file is added to the client profile, it is versioned and cannot be deleted.

We are interested on maintaining all versions of the documents provided. Could you please advise, if this is possible?

    Thanks

Looking for a quick way or tool to compare environment instances
    Content:

    Hi everyone,

Anyone here has a quick way or a tool to compare/validate if 2 environment instances (ex. Test & Prod) are parallel/synced in overall configuration, extension and customization.

Asking this because we have an Engagement Cloud domain that has 2 instances (test and prod) that has just been handed to us and we need to validate that the 2 are sync so as to avoid failures in migration in the future.

Opportunity status and sales stage relationAnswered25.0

    Title:
Opportunity status and sales stage relation
    Content:

    Hi Community Members,

I have observed one behavior while working on opportunity. Even though I have defined status as closed in one of the sales stage in Manage sales stage and sales methods, I can see all the values in sales stage when I check into the opportunity detail pages.

Example : I have configured status = Won for Sales Stage = Closed. But I could see Closed sales stage even when status = open

I would like know the significance of setting status while defining sales stage as it does not seems to be working.

Also what are best available options to control this behaviour?

    Regards,

    Rohit

Is there a way to add the additional values to Address Element LOV
    Content:

We are looking to format the address to add some additional fields which reflects the geography structure. Currently for GB we have structure like  township, locality, postal code but in Manage address Format section we dont see Township, Locality as they are custom values.

Is there a way we can add the custom values in Address Element LOV which is present in the Manage Address Format.
