How to Default Custom Accrual and Charge account on Purchasing Documents (Inventory and Expense)
    Content:

    Hi All,

Usually many of us come across the scenario where we need to defaults account on requisition or purchasing documents.

Here in fusion there is good structured SLA setup to do the same.

I have created a document which will walk you through the SLA of purchasing and the setups need to be done to default accrual and charge account on purchasing documents.

    Thanks

Improve insight and productivity by making your BI analytics available as content in the springboard. Buyer or any other role with necessary privilege to use page composer and access the BI Catalog can add BI analytics to the user-defined infolets page.

    How to enable this?

Follow the steps mentioned below to make custom content available in the springboard.

    1. Add the privilege ‘View Custom Infolet’ to a role and then assign it to the user.
    2. Create an infolet on the User-Defined Infolets page and add a BI analytics to the springboard.

Error in approval using Position Hierarchy
    Content:

I am trying to set approval rule using position hierarchy. But when approval PO, it throw an error: "Error occurred while displaying History tree table. Error in evaluating routing slip. Check the underlying exception and correct the error in the routing slip.".

I already configured Position Tree, assign each user to each position in the position tree.

I also looked for the error, there is a note: Position Hierarchy Is Not Working For Purchase Requisition (Doc ID 2225794.1). The document said that: "Set the Effective start date to a past date, before last server restart". But I don't know what the last server restart date is.

Can any experts help me to clear this point and setup my approval rule?

    Thank you.

    Content:

    Hi all,

When we are releasing the work order our requisitions are auto approving and POs are getting created automatically. As per the Oracle, we can't control the approvals of PR so we want to enable the approval flow for the purchase orders(OSP orders). If anyone has any idea on how to create a BPM rule for these kinds of POs please let me know.

How to allows users to populate a segment of the PO charge...4.7

    Title:
How to allows users to populate a segment of the PO charge account
    Summary:
How to allows users to populate a segment of the PO charge account
    Content:

    Business case

You want users to be able to provide values for one or more segments of the chart of accounts, while allowing the application to derive the remaining segments using TAB (Transaction Account Builder.),

    Solution

You can enable a DFF to capture the segment values entered by the user, and then configure Transaction Account Builder to override the respective COA segments with the DFF attribute values.

    Example

Assume your COA has a segment called 'Department" and you want your PO users to be able to provide the value for this segment, while allowing TAB to derive the remaining COA segments.  The following steps outline the required setup:

    1. Enable a PO header DFF and use an attribute (say ATTRIBUTE1) to capture the Department. Make sure the DFF attribute uses the same value set as the COA segment you want to populate. (Let's say the value set name is COA_Department.)
    2. Define an account rule in TAB of type "Value set" for the value set used by the COA segment you want to override (COA_Department in this example),) and select the corresponding DFF source (PO Header Attribute1 in this example) as input.
    3. Use the account rule created in (2) to override the corresponding segment In the Transaction Account Definition. Note the transaction account definition needs to have a chart of accounts assigned, so that you are able to assign account rules to named segments (Department in this example.)

Sender E-mail Address for Purchasing Document Communication4.7

    Title:
Sender E-mail Address for Purchasing Document Communication
    Summary:
Flexibility to define the e-mail sender for purchasing document e-mails sent to suppliers
    Content:

You can use the new profile option " Purchase Order E-mail Sender " to select between the Buyer's e-mail address or an automatically generated e-mail address as the sender address for purchasing document communication e-mails.

Using the buyer's e-mail address allows suppliers to reply and communicate directly with the buyer.

Using the automatically generated e-mail address helps in cases where the supplier's e-mail system filters out buyers' e-mails as spam, or if the buyer's role is not clearly defined in your organization.

How to default the ship-to location on XML order placed through OSN
    Content:

We are in the process of creating a punchout catalog where we want to only have one specific ship-to location. Regardless of what the user chooses on the requisition, the order should always ship to a specific site. In the XML, I can see the ShipToLocationId value, and I'm trying to find a way to default that. We are on 19D and using OSN for the first time. Has anyone done this and able to provide some guidance? Thanks for your help!
