    I am trying to create a mapping set based on the project organization cost center segment for procurement charge account. When i search Project Organization Cost Center Segment I find too many source as project organization cost center segment with few blank event class and few with different event class such as Labor Cost, Revenue etc.

     

    But i am not sure what source (Project Organization Cost Center Segment ) to select with event class, when i select the source with event class as miscellaneous the charge account is not working.

     

    Could you please advice how do i achieve this.

    Automatically generate ETC from project or task level resource assignment effort based on actual effort and original EAC
    Content:

    I understand that resource management currently supports only project level resource assignments and not task level. In EBS, we can automatically generate forecast plans from either workplan or resource management efforts. Based on this, the system generated a forecast version considering the original effort (EAC) and the actual effort to generate the default ETC (Plan less actuals). We could edit or modify this to revise the forecast and baseline them.

    It seems such features aren't yet supported in Cloud. How do we generate the budget and forecast on this basis automatically, more so if the effort defaulting is only at the project and not task level?

    We are considering implementing Project Execution Management in the cloud (Project, Task, and Resource Management) and leverage native integration with EBS Projects on premise for project, task and resource assignment creation, and sending actual hours back to Resource Mgt. As part of this, we need automation in place for creating and budget and forecast based on planned and remaining effort at the project, task level for the resources.

    For Govt contracts, our customer uses ceiling rates to bill the customer in combination with burden schedule at contract bill plan/revenue plan.

    Below is the scenario as per business requirement.

    1. For Govt Contracts, Business has agreed upon ceiling billing rates say 100$. 
    2. So on cost transaction:1->quantity:10 hours and cost rate:110$ and raw cost amount:1100$. 
    3. At contract they use Rate based bill plan and rate based revenue plan with Burden schedules say burden cost code Fringe:0.05(burden multiplier) . 
    Note:Hence we could not define person rate overrides at contract bill plan/revenue plan UI.
    4. Now when we generate invoice, invoice amount will be=(1100*0.05)+1100=1155$. 
    But Business expectation=(10*100*0.05)+(10*100)=1050$(To consider ceiling rate). 
    If another labor transaction:2 where qty:8 and cost rate:80$->raw cost amount:640$
    Invoice amount should be (640*0.05)+640=672$

    Note:Only labor cost transactions where cost rate>ceiling bill rate ,we need bill/recognize revenue based on ceiling bill rate only.

    Could you please suggest how can we achieve this functionality?

    Load project and task owning organizations as well as project expenditure organizations in bulk using the HCM Data Loader (HDL).
    Content:

    The solution utilizes the HCM Data Loader (HDL) functionality to enable implementers load a large number of project and task owning organizations as well as project expenditure organizations. Additional information on how to use HDL can be found on Oracle Help Center -> Introduction to Integrating with Oracle HCM Cloud -> Introduction to HCM Data Loader.
    The implementation steps are valid starting with Release 13.17.11.


    Prerequisite
    The departments should also have been created using HDL. This is because while creating the departments via HDL, the SourceSystemOwner and SourceSystemId attributes must be specified. These attribute values will be used when using HDL to classify the departments as project organizations.

    If we open some issue that occurred we can associate it only to a project level. Action Items can only be assigned to resource labor. Can we associate any of these to a task also?
    Content:

    1) If we open some Issue that occurred we are able to associate it only to a project level. Is it somehow possible to associate issue to certain task of a project in order to track it more easily and to have it more transparent where, on which task, it needs to be resolved?

    2) Similar is with Action Items - we can only assign owner as resource labor but cannot associate these items to a certain task. Can Action Items be somehow associated with a task?

    Hi Team,

    We have a non-Oracle Time and Attendance system which needs to be integrated with ERP Cloud. ERP Cloud is the source for all projects. Project and task information is required in the non-Oracle Time and Attendance system so people can record their time against projects/tasks.

    Problem:

    We have a requirement to interface to the Time and Attendance system on a regular basis. We need to track and send the following changes at a task level:

    - Task Created

    - Task Deleted

    - Task Updated (Task No, Name, start date , end date, chargeable flag changed)

    IN R13 we have introduced business events to track a Project creation or status change but nothing for tasks.

    We have explored extracts with BI Publisher but they can not track task deletions or provide prior values when the task number is changed so we can update the appropriate record in the downstream system.

    How can we meet the above requirement?
