    How to map the Intercompany transactions in system to enable the elimination

    In TRCS, how should we map the intercompany transactions to ensure that the transactions are eliminated while computing the tax of parent entity.

    The present structure is Group ABC has, three entities A, B and C. A has transaction with B & C. So while computing the tax for Group ABC we would like to ensure that inter-company transactions are eliminated.

    Summary:
    Read about the new features in the What's New document for Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Release 19.05
    Content:
    The following features are available for Tax Reporting Cloud in Release 19.05:
    • Changing Performance Settings for the Data Source Dimension - With the 19.05 release, by default, the Data Source dimension is configured as "Sparse" because that setting provides better performance. Legacy applications, created prior to 19.05, will have the Data Source configured as "Dense". It is recommended that the Data Source dimension for legacy applications be reconfigured to "Sparse". When the setting is changed, you need to perform a Database Refresh.
    • Approvals Process – Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud now provides an approval process and workflow. Administrators can manage the approvals process by creating an approval unit hierarchy or modifying the default approval unit hierarchy, setting up the promotional path, and reviewing status. Users can start, promote, reject, approve, and submit data through the promotional path set up for the approval unit hierarchy.

    Read about all the new features in the What's New 19.05 May 2019.

    Rollover Tax Rates
    Summary:
    How to Rollover Prior Year Current Tax Rate & Opening Deferred Rate
    Content:

    Hello,

    Is there a way to rollover the rates from FY17 P12 to get them to populate as the Prior Year rates and opening rates in FY18 P12?  I do not want to use the Rollover feature as my rates are all final already for all my other 80 entities, I just need to rollover the one entity. I rolled from FY17 P12 to FY18 P01, and the Opening rates are there, however they do not show up for P12, just P01. I needed to add a new entity after I finalized the FY18 P12 provision just to break some items out of another entity. I do not want to mess up the other rates.

    Title:
    Jurisdiction Dimension
    Summary:
    Adding Parent Member for All Foreign members
    Content:

    Hello,

    Our client is requesting to have a Parent member for all of the Foreign Jurisdictions to easily see the total foreign numbers. I first tried creating a shared hierarchy outside of the "TRCS_Total Jurisdiction" member. This seemed to work, however we were receiving some system issues so I decided to try a different option. I then deleted the shared members and created the Hierarchy in the picture attached. However upon doing this it deleted all of my domicile attributes from my entities. When I try to re-add the domiciles, it will only give me the option of "US" or "All Foreign" and not the children members underneath foreign. Any suggestions or comments would be appreaciated?

    Title:
    Regional Deduction
    Summary:
    Unable to get Regional Deduction to flow to Current National Provision.
    Content:

    The client opted to employ the “standard” TRCS methodology to treat the Regional Tax Expense as deductible on the National provision in the current period. We’ve enabled the “RDeduct” attribute in all US base entities to allow for the above but we are unable to see any regional tax expense flow to the national current provision (expected on the Regional Income taxes line). The TRCS Admin guide references the “RDeduct” field but doesn’t offer much more in terms of guidance. We have enabled RDeduct as a member attribute in the Entity dimension.

    Do you have insight into any other areas of the application we should check for troubleshooting to resolve the regional deduction issue?

    Title:
    Current Provision Regional
    Summary:
    Values are being aggregated at the regional level (for Example US_Regional).
    Content:

    In the Current Provision Regional, account values (for example NIBT) are being aggregated at the Regional member in the jurisdiction dimension. For example, assuming an entity with National Jurisdiction as United States with a NIBT value of $81,300. When pulling Current Provision Regional at the US_Regional, all values for each region are being aggregated.

    NIBT -> US_AK -> 81,300

    NIBT -> US_AL -> 81,300

    NIBT -> US_AZ -> 81,300

    and so on.... then

    NIBT -> US_Regional = 4,065,000 with it doesn't seem to make sense.
