Close Manager integration with Fusion R13 GL for Process Automation
    Content:

We are unable to call the process automation or event monitoring after configuring FCCS with R13 GL using OIC. We were able to deploy the 5 standard event monitoring tasks to OIC but are not able to call them in FCCS in the tasks successfully.

Can't figure out what is missing here. Any suggestions on where to look for a successful connection?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jas

I downloaded the Smartview extensions for Close Tasks and Supplemental Data ... I have these in my FCCS application and can see the new ribbons for both in Excel, yet all options are grayed out.   In SmartView options, both of these are selected as "Enabled".  Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?????

FCCS Task manager - Integration with EBS2

    Title:
FCCS Task manager - Integration with EBS
    Summary:
Options for integrating FCCS task manager with on-premise EBS
    Content:

We are in the process of implementing FCCS task manager for a large client.

In terms of integrating Task manager with Applications there are 2 options:

    1. End user (a users navigates from Task manager to the correct screen in the ERP application, performs the task, and comes back to FCCS and manually updates the task to complete)

    2. Even Monitoring (where an event that occurs, e.g. Accounting period is closed, is monitored and automatically updated in FCCS when it occurs)

We managed to get type 1 to work with EBS R12

In terms of  type 2- even monitoring the following 2 questions:

    - does event monitoring only work with cloud ERP, or is this possible with one premise EBS?

    - documentation states that a subscription to Oracle Integration Cloud Service(OIC) is needed to make event monitoring to work. The client uses on-premise ODI and is not interested in OIC at this stage. If monitoring is possible for EBS, would one be able to use on-premise ODI instead of OIC?

Please let me know if anybody has had experience with this

Power User unable to reopen tasks1

Power User unable to reopen tasks
    Content:

    Good afternoon,

One of our power users is unable to reopen a closed basic task. When he opens the tasks he see 'reopen tasks' under actions but when he clicks this nothing happens. If I follow the same steps under service administrator role I see that the task is immediately reopen. I do not see any limitations in the user guide that make me think that a power user should not be able to use this functionality. Am I missing something?

    Hi,

I would like to understand what the difference is between saving a filter and saving a list in Schedule Tasks. I have tried both alternatives and can't see any difference in the POV between the two. Is there any difference between the two of them?

    Regards

Reassigning tasks more efficiently as an admin3

    Title:
Reassigning tasks more efficiently as an admin
    Content:

    Good afternoon,

We have recently expanding our use of FCCS close manager utilizing many tasks to track our monthly and quarter end close process. As users in the business leave or change positions I find myself manually reassigning tasks in the deployed schedule (so that users see changes) and in the template (so it is correct for next month). Is there an easier way to manager task assignments? The process seems time consuming and cumbersome to make a lot of changes at once.

We have enabled users to request task changes but  my understanding is this only works if they are defined by name in the workflow (not a group). This does not help if a user has already left the business.  I would like to use this function as an admin for all tasks. Am I missing a feature or process that I could request these task reassignments for  other users for current and future tasks as an admin or power user? Ideally I would like more criteria to reassign than the 1 for 1 process I see where I could update person A to person B but only for tasks with a certain Org, ect.

    Thanks!

    Nathan

Providing Run time parameter in Process Automation Types task in Task Manager
    Content:

    Hi All,

Is there a way End user can enter Run time parameter in Process Automation Types task( like Run Consolidation or Run Business  rule) in Task Manager. As per FCCS admin guide this task will be prompting end user to enter parameters while running the tasks. I am not getting the option. Only way to set these parameters up is during task creation or during Schedule creation. Please, let me know what I am missing.

    Thanks,

    Debo

How to rerun or reopen Process Automation Tasks once closed...2

How to rerun or reopen Process Automation Tasks once closed in Task manager
    Content:

    Hi All,

We have enabled reopen system settings once any task is closed. But this option is not working in case task type is Process Automation type like Run Data Rule or Run Consolidation. Is this by designed? We also have a predecessor task set up before Run Data rule task, which can be reopened by End user. But reopening the predecessor task, doesn't reopen successor task. In this case it is run Data rule task.  Please, let me know what will be process reopening/ rerun of process automation type tasks.

    Thanks,

    Debo

Task Manager - order of tasks4

Task Manager - order of tasks
    Summary:
How to sort the order of tasks in the Schedule tasks view.
    Content:

    Hi!

I have an issue with the order of tasks that are displayed in the Schedule tasks POV in Task Manager. My problem is that the tasks are not in the order 1,2,3 and so on. The number is a part of the taskname and the problem is that when I sort on ascending order it takes all the tasks that begins with 1 first. For example 1, 10, 11, 12, 13 and so on. I would like it to be in the order 1,2,3,4 etc. Is this possible to achieve somehow?

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Robert
