    Title:
OTBI Variable Presentation Date Prompt Format DD-MON-YYYY
    Summary:
Users need to be able to enter a date in DD-MON-YYYY format at the prompt
    Content:

Our date format changed to dd-MON-yyyy (15-MAY-2017), but the only way the report runs is if the date is entered in DD-MM-YYYY format (15-05-2017) at the prompt.  Is there a way to change this so the user can enter dd-MON-yyyy?

Pipleline Time In Process - Detail & Metrics Performance Issue - Advanced SQL
    Content:

    Hi All,

We have a dashboard -Pipeline Time In Process which consists of both Detail and Metrics tab.

We have created this Dashboard by using advanced SQL as it consists of backlink  logic (Sourcing and Hiring Requisitions are linked to get the complete history).

The issue is that it is giving very poor performance. Just running for 5 Days globally for all GU's.

Can anybody is using similar kind of Pipeline Time In Process Dashboard  with good performance with it, without using advanced SQL.

Any thoughts or comments are highly appreciated on for improving the performance

Metric Report should look like below.

    Pivot Table/Table Horizontal Layout
    Summary:
Adjusting the layout of a pivot table or table from vertical to horizontal
    Content:

I need to change the layout of a sectioned Table from vertical to horizontal. Is this possible? My report includes 12 sections which are, by default, presented vertically. Ideally, I’d like to limit the total number of sections on each row, so my report would have four rows with three sections on each.

If this isn't possible on a Table, can a Pivot Table be formatted this way?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Pixel perfect PDF reports
    Content:

We need some inputs on best practices / recommendations for developing pixel perfect PDF reports.

    Context:

The implementation scope includes Fusion ERP modules and custom extensions (UIs) using JET, JCS, DBCS, and OIC. We need to develop pixel perfect PDF reports. We will have the following scenarios for creating custom BIP reports:

    1. Create BIP reports on data purely from SaaS ERP modules.

    2. Create BIP reports on data stored in external DBCS.

    3. Create BIP reports that may require data from SaaS as well as DBCS.

How do you handle the above scenarios in your projects? Also, are there any white papers, recommendations, best practices from product management or A-Teams that you can share?

Presentation Variable Prompt causes Error on Results tab,...Answered6

    Title:
Presentation Variable Prompt causes Error on Results tab, but not in Open link
    Summary:
    AsOfDate prompt causes errors OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
    Content:

    I added the follow prefix to my analysis:  SET VARIABLE PARAM_EFFECTIVE_DATE='@{AsOfDate}';

Then I created a Presentation Variable prompt for AsOfDate with the following:

    Default Selection: Variable Expression  @{system.currentTime}[MM/DD/YYYY]

This works when I run the analysis from the Open link, but when I am in Edit mode I get the following error on the Results tab:

    Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 77031] Error occurs while calling remote service ADFService11G. Details: ADFException-1004: Invalid/empty ADF query. (HY000)

Is this normal behavior?  Or is there something I can do so I can see the Results while I am working on the report?

    Thank you!
    Brenda

    Hello,

I have an analysis made by two subject areas (linked by an INNER JOIN) and the system puts "saw" alias in the resulted query.

If I wanted to insert the analysis in a dashboard, how do I create a dashboard prompt in order to filter appropriately the analysis fields?

    Thanks

    Remove duplicate values in OBIEE
    Content:

    Hi All,

Is it possible to remove duplicate values in OBIEE?

In my report, columns A and B have unique values per line for an employee, however, column G is all the same value and it repeats itself to match the same number of lines of column A & B. The screenshot can probably demonstrate this a lot clearer than I'm describing it :).

Is it possible to remove all but the bottom value in column G?

Thank you in advance for your help!
