Reconcile Budgetary Control and Award Balances

    Title:
Reconcile Budgetary Control and Award Balances
    Summary:
Looking for a way to reconcile budgets to award balances
    Content:

I am looking for a way to reconcile the balances in my budgetary control to the balances in my awards.

We went live in Oracle Fusion in October 2018 and all the project related budget was dumped into a temporary account we've called Project Extravaganza, which allowed us to continue to process payments without hitting our absolute control limit, but because we potentially converted more in budget than was awarded, i need to be able to reconcile the budget with the award to know that no other project is "stealing" from another.

If anyone has any tips, tricks, reports, analyses or advice, I'd really appreciate the help!

    Expenditure Tax (VAT) by Project/Award

    Title:
    Expenditure Tax (VAT) by Project/Award
    Summary:
    Derive Tax code from Project/Grant
    Content:

We are a grants customer and have a requirement around tax treatment would like some input on.

Trying to avoid creating advanced tax rules but want to derive default tax rates for expenditure transactions.

    An example requirement for this.

We have two Grants and a linked project one research and one teaching.

Teaching the default tax requirement is 20% 0% Recoverable

Research default is 20% 100% recoverable.

Both wish to buy a laptop which is Expenditure type IT Equipment.

From my research we would derive the tax default from Expenditure type however depednadant on the grant we are purchasing for the treatment could be different.  The way round this would be to have two expenditure types, IT Equiptment Recoverable and IT equipment Non recoverable and the user then having to select.  However the user will not know what the tax treatment would be so we would see them guessing and using the wrong type.

Is there anyway to assign a default tax code at either the project or grant so that expenditures in expenses/purchasing/payables/inventory derive based off that rather than the POETA entry?

Has anyone used @CalcMgrExcelSUMPRODUCT in business rule or member formula?
    Content:

We have a requirement to calculate the sum product in the formula and it should be dynamic based on the month selected by user.

Following is the syntax documented by Oracle:

    @CalcMgrExcelSUMPRODUCT

    Purpose:

Returns the sum of the products of corresponding array components

    Syntax:

    Java Class: com.hyperion.calcmgr.common.excel.cdf.ExcelMathFunctions.SUMPRODUCT(double[],double[])

    CDF Spec: @CalcMgrExcelSUMPRODUCT(values1, values2)

I have applied the same in the member formula as below:

    @CalcMgrExcelSUMPRODUCT(@XRANGE("AKPI_DayMonth"->"JAN","AKPI_DayMonth"->"DEC"),@XRANGE("AKPI_TechAvailPctPower"->"Jan","AKPI_TechAvailPctPower"->"Dec"));

Currently I am trying to get output using the static formula but this is not giving any result in the system.

Any help on this will be great.

    Thank You.

    Hi,

We are implementing manufacturing cloud OSP process. In our operation, we need to raise a PO to the supplier with a fixed amount irrespective of the quantity of the work order.

For example for work order quantity 5 we need to raise a PO of amount 100$ and for work order quantity 50 we need to raise the PO of same amount 100$. Please suggest the approach.

    Content:

    Hi all,

When we are releasing the work order our requisitions are auto approving and POs are getting created automatically. As per the Oracle, we can't control the approvals of PR so we want to enable the approval flow for the purchase orders(OSP orders). If anyone has any idea on how to create a BPM rule for these kinds of POs please let me know.

We are finding that some of our requisitions are still in process status because it requires a negotiation to turn into a PO. Oracle support supplied a sql query to create a BI report, however I can't seem to make it work. Has anyone created an analysis to help with this that they would be willing to share? Summary:
UOM mismatch and quantity discrepancy between initial search and review cart screens - in scenario Fulfill Expense Requisitions for Agreement Based Catalog Items From Internal
    Content:

    1. Consider below scenario for Fulfill Expense Requisitions for Agreement Based Catalog Items From Internal Sources:

    Quantity = 1

Item purchasing UOM: Bag of 1000 (with 1000 Each as UOM conversion)

    Item issue UOM: Each

    2. Search for item in self service procurement

    3. Purchasing UOM appears for item with quantity = 1 (i.e. Bag of 1000)

    4. Add item to cart

    5.  Review cart. UOM changes to issuing UOM (but quantity remains one). Summary: Quantity value remains same but UOM changes at this step

    6. Initial quantity = 1000 Each (considering UOM conversion)

    7. Quantity during cart review = 1 Each

    8. Summary: UOM mismatch and quantity discrepancy between initial search and review cart screens

    9. Why bug? When user search, the quantity that appears is different from the quantity that appears when the user reviews the cart. This leads to operational impact (sufficient quantity not available) or excess inventory holding cost (excess inventory) if the users consider initial quantity as source of truth

    10. Suggested solution: For this scenario of internal intra-organization transfer for destination type expense, upon search with the given item, the initial search screen should return the issuing uom directly (instead of the purchasing uom).

If item is not internal transfer enabled in the given deliver-to location, then the purchasing UOM needs to come in the initial search screen.

    11. Conclusion: Kindly request to resolve this bug in 19D

With 15000 users having self service procurement, such kind of discrepancies lead a lot of operational and financial issues.  The impact is also documented above

You cannot create the standard cost record with the start date because a standard cost with a later start date is pending approval. (CST-2385394).

    Content:

We want to create a DFF on the Cash Advance screen that contains the value of the Travel Authorization (this should be for the Idea Lab as well).  Ideally the values in the drop list would be travel authorizations for that specific user (rather than the entire universe of values).  This actually exists on the Expense header screen as a delivered field.  So the question is - is this possible to do?  And if so, how?

    Thanks,
