    Summary:
    Assign Child Org using OrganizationCode in WebService
    Content:

    Hi all,

    I would like to know if we have anyway to associate org to an item using OrganizationCode in mergeItem WebService. I knew using OrganizationId we can associate org to an item using same mergeItem method.

    Reason to want OrganziationCode instead of OrganizationId is using ICS, I can get OrganizationCode directly from source system and associate the same else I need to do lookup to get OrganizationId based OrganizationCode and then associate it to an item.

    Please let me know if anyone having solution for this problem.

    Thanks,
    Nawaz

    Item  --- A

    User selects below attributes for Catalog and Leaf Level Category.

    Catalog Name -----> Power Catalog

    Leaf Level Category ---> Bucket

    If Category exists the item will get assigned ( This is achievable ) and

    if not exist then system should create it and assign the item. ------> seeking help on this part.

    Please let me know if this is possible within PDH.

    We have 10 lac records to import and we need to pull those items into PDH using Import Maps.

    I need to know what should be the ideal batch size for pulling up this records into PDH.

    Shall I import batch of 5 lac each or less than it.

    Kindly suggest the ideal approach for pulling these using import maps.

    Notice of feature deprecation in Product Hub Cloud15.0

    Title:
    Notice of feature deprecation in Product Hub Cloud
    Content:

    The following web service operations will not support Attachments of type File in base64 encoding starting Update 19C:

    Item Version 2 SOAP service - findItem, createItem, mergeItem, processItem operations

    Trading Partner Item Version 2 SOAP service - findTradingPartnerItem, create, merge, process operations

    Using these web services to upload/retrieve attachments in base64 encoding was very inefficient and hence will not be supported going forward.  Instead, the DocId of the attached file will returned in the find payload.  Using the DocId the attachment can be retrieved either using the WCC Document Transfer Utility or web service.

    Notice of feature replacements in Product Hub Cloud85.0
    Topic posted November 6, 2018 by Shyam LakshmanSilver Medal: 2,000+ Points, tagged Product Commercialization, Product Hub in Product Lifecycle Management > Product Master Data Management public
    Title:
    Notice of feature replacements in Product Hub Cloud
    Summary:
    Some existing features in Product Hub will be replaced with alternative features in Update 19A
    Content:

    The purpose of this article is to provide advance notice of proposed feature replacements in Update 19A of Product Hub Cloud.

    1. The Edit in Spreadsheet action in the Manage Catalogs tasks will be replaced with the File Based Data Import (FBDI) spreadsheet for catalogs.  Edit in Spreadsheet used a ADF Desktop Integration enabled workbook.  In addition to supporting all the objects supported by Edit in Spreadsheet, FBDI supports loading of attachments and descriptive flexfields.  It also offers much better performance and scalability when loading large catalogs.  FBDI support for Catalogs was introduced in Update 18C and is documented in more detail at https://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/tutorial/cloud/r13/wn/r13-2018-scm-pm-wn.htm#F4638

    2. The Publish Catalog action in the Manage Catalog task will be removed. For Catalog reporting needs, there are several subject areas available in the Reports and Analytics work area using which similar reports can be authored.  Additionally, the subject areas offer a much more expanded set of attributes on which the reports can be built.

    3. The Upload from Spreadsheet action under the Add Items to Batch option in the Manage Item Batches task will be removed.  The existing Upload from file action can be used to add items to a Batch.  The Upload from Spreadsheet action used a ADF Desktop Integration enabled Spreadsheet in a fixed format and required setting up Import Formats.  The Upload from File option uses Import Maps and is much more flexible in terms of the format.  Additionally, all the features of Import Maps are available to transform data when adding items to a Batch.  Several enhancements were made to Import Maps in Update 18B which are available at https://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/tutorial/cloud/r13/wn/r13-2018-scm-pm-wn.htm#F2960
