Please Save BI Answers Direct Database Query SQL Definition before 19D Upgrade
    Summary:
Please save your BI Answers Direct Database Query SQL definition before 19D Upgrade
    Content:

Please Note: This notice does not affect BI Publisher SQL data models and reports.

Customers are strongly advised to save BI Answers Direct Database Query SQL definition before 19D Upgrade

After 19D upgrade, you can continue to execute existing BI Answers Direct Database Query reports but you can no longer create, edit new reports or view report criteria.  You are strongly advised to review existing BI Answers Direct Database Query reports and save SQL definition for reports that need to be recreated in OTBI or BIP before 19D upgrade.

Before 19D upgrade, you are strongly advised to save Direct Database Query SQL by using the following methods:

    • Open the report in Edit model, copy the SQL definition in the Criteria tab and paste the SQL statement in a text file and save the file.

After 19D upgrade, you can no longer open Direct Database Query report criteria and can retrieve SQL from the report log file by using the following methods:

    • A user with BI Administrator privilege runs a Direct Database Query report.
    • After the report runs, BI Administrator user clicks on Administration link, clicks on Manage Session, and clicks View Log for the executed report.  After log file opens, user copies and pastes the SQL statement in a text file and save the file.

You must use this method to save BI Answers direct database query report definition before 20A upgrade as you will no longer be able to run BI Answers Direct Database Query after 20A upgrade.

If you have comments and concerns, please provide your feedback on this short OTBI customer survey.  Thank you for your time!

Need to show PO and Invoice Amount in a report
    Content:

Hello - I have a requirement to show the Invoice Amount and PO Approved amount in the same report. I can see the Invoice Amount field in Procurement Spend subject area and 'PO' related amounts in Procurement Purchasing Real time subject areas.

    1. Is there a measure in Spend subject area that refers to PO Approved Amount? If not how do I bring that into my report?

    2. Which Amount field in Procurement Purchasing subject area is close to the PO Approved Amount? I see Billed Amount, Purchasing Order Distribution Amount etc.

    Thanks for your help

PO-Requisition cross-subject area report in fusion saas
    Content:

I am trying to create a simple cross-subject OTBI Analysis to display PO details alongwith the Requisition details and Requisition Preparer. I tried using combination of Procurement - Purchasing Real Time/Procurement - Requisitions Real Time/Procurement - Procure to Pay Real Time subject areas but not able to get the join condition working between PO distribution and Requsition distribution.

For example, if I use below logical query, the PO data is displayed correctly but the data from requistion is resulting in a cross-product. Is there a way to use the subject areas here to display the columns logically?

Predefined Filters in OTBI Subject Areas24.0

Predefined Filters in OTBI Subject Areas
    Content:

I have the spreadsheets that document R13 Fusion Financials OTBI subject areas, the corresponding View Objects and database tables and columns (OTBI subject areas to database lineage mappings).

This information is invaluable and I'd also like to know when a report is created using any given subject area whether or not all rows in all  database tables in the subject area are available for inclusion in a report or does the subject area have predefined selection criteria (filters) for the database tables that would include/exclude certain rows.  If the latter, is there documentation that explains the predefined filters  used in each table in a subject area?

This question was raised when a report was created using the "Payables Invoices - Installments Real Time" subject area and invoices with a validation status of "Incomplete" were not included in the report.  The filters used when the report was created, Accounting Status = Unaccounted and Validation Status <> Canceled.

Prefix - set effective date using SQL Expresssion2

Prefix - set effective date using SQL Expresssion
    Content:

Hello - I'm hoping someone can help me with this please.

I have an OTBI analysis that I want to schedule on the first of each month that will show changes in the previous month. One of the 'changes' could be that the record has been ended but because the because the subject area is a Real Time one (Payroll - Element Entries Real Time) the record is no longer current when the report is being run so it will not report the change.

Therefore, I am wondering if I could include the SQL expression below (to get to the 1st of the previous month) in the prefix to set the effective date to be the 'first of the previous month'.

    TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_MONTH, -1, TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, DAYOFMONTH(CURRENT_DATE) * -(1) + 1, CURRENT_DATE))

I hope that makes sense and if someone can help me do this I'd be very grateful. I tried several different ways to add this to the Prefix with no success so I think it might be a syntax issue, or maybe it's just not possible to do this?

    Many thanks

    Linda

    Hello,

We are looking to build a report that lists all current prepayments and balances, there was a Prepayments Status Report from an older version of Oracle, however this doesn't seem to be available in fusion.

Has anyone had any luck in building a report or a query on this?

    Thanks,
