Security Role allowing Mgmt to stop scheduled reports others...2

Security Role allowing Mgmt to stop scheduled reports others have developed
    Summary:
Security Role allowing Mgmt to stop scheduled reports others have developed
    Content:

My reporting team has the following concern and would appreciate any advice.  Currently running R13 and using BIP and OTBI.

Concern:  A Developer from another team builds and schedules a report to run daily.  The developer leaves the company.  It seems, at this time, none of the HR team can kill that scheduled query because we don't have the security role to view or disable it.

Is there a security role that my team should have that will allow us to do what is needed above; monitor and if needed stop queries that others have scheduled?  Or is there an alternative to accomplish this?  Our security team tried adding the "ESS Administrator Role", but had an issue with it not being valid when added to our profile.

    Thank you

Select_physical only works on some VO's
    Content:

    Hi,

Looking to expand the capability to search VO's using "Select_physical" on all VO's.   "Select_physical * from VO_name" works on the smaller VO's but does not on the larger ones.  While I understand there is documentation showing each field in the VO, my team often needs to search through large VO's provided by oracle and otbi, in the same way someone would need select * from table_name to search through a large db table.

Want to explore the option of self service reporting for the business user.
    Content:

    Hi All,

I want to explore the option of self service reporting for the business. Business wants to give user to get into selected report from home page.

Example: Employee wants to see an report from home page to track their spend (PO's , Expenses) and also is it possible to do that and to restrict their access based on their own cost centre or reporting line?

If a user wants to check his/her PO's from the report can make this to view only PO's created by him/her from the report?

    Kindly suggest.!!

    Thanks & Regards,

    Govind Amarnath.

I need an Analysis with a filter to pick up dates within the last week.  I don't see a way to do this in the normal filter properties and I'm getting errors when i add the below code into "Convert this filter to SQL"  Is there a way to do this either with the regular filter or with the Advanced SQL filter?

    Sharing OTBI Analyses
    Summary:
Need guidance on how to share OTBI templates with other internal users
    Content:

    Hi all!

I am new to Fusion and OTBI.  I have searched Oracle Support and the Library, but can't seem to find an answer to this issue we're having.

I have created an analysis in OTBI that we would like to share with other internal users.  I have currently saved it in My Folders of OTBI.  I have tried saving it to the Shared Folder, but I am denied access.

I assume this relates to security and that I need to have a particular security role added to my profile.  Is anyone aware of which particular role I require in order to have access to save to the Shared Folder?  Or is it something else entirely?

Appreciate any help you can provide.

    Thanks!

    Lisa

    Hello,

I know there is an option to show the report results immediately within dashboard without clicking on the apply button of the prompt (after defining default value).
if someone can share his knowledge regarding this issue on how to do it it will be great!

    Thank you,

    Gal.

    Showing '0' for Null Value11

    Showing '0' for Null Value
    Summary:
How do you show a 0 value in place of a blank value on an analysis?
    Content:

    Hello,

We want to show the total number of something on an analysis (in this case Leads). If there were no Leads created on a day, we want to show '0' but instead our analysis is showing a blank value. I checked the box to "Include Null Values" and tried a case statement. It still shows blank value. See attached screen shots. Also, we need the actual value of 0 rather than just a cosmetic formatting issue. We need to be able to show the average number of Leads at the end of the analysis.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks, Stephanie

showing project reference details in OTBIAnswered9

showing project reference details in OTBI
    Content:

We are trying to union both
Project Costing - Actual Costs Real Time and Payables Invoices - Transactions Real Time
or Project Costing - Actual Costs Real Time and Costing - Receipt Accounting Real Time

so we can show a report with actual project cost and reference details like invoice number , invoice line description , receipt number , PO number and PO line desc.

the problem we are facing that Project Costing - Actual Costs Real Time subject area has reference IDs not actual numbers however the payables and receipt subject areas do not have IDs so we can not link both subject areas using set operation UNION available in oracle transnational business intelligence.
