    How can we integrate Monitoring Tool which are Compatible with OFSC

    Hi OFSC Guru's

        Can any of the Guru's of OFSC tell, if there is any compatible tool's available to monitor OFSC like number activities for the complete day ( with the status transition) through which we can build customized reports, for better understanding. We need for Routing, how many routing plans have been run throughout the day in the form of % . WorkOrder per regions, As per i know we do not get the access to the OFSC DB so we can query the DB and get the results. If we can monitor the network, if OFSC is running slow. 

    Please provide some solution regarding this, as we need to monitor many of the fields.

    We would like to be able to see the records on a screen (inventories on mobility) with a condition applied: Only view the ones with a certain flag checked. We cant seem to find this from the documentation and we are wondering that this might not be supported. Would there be a way to implement this?

    We would like to use the exchange functionality between inventories. The case would be for a technician to replace a mulfunctioned client inventory item with one of his own inventory pool. 
    Since we are integrating with Oracle Supply Chain Management, we would like to raise notifications to inform the Oracle Integration Cloud Service of the transaction. 

    Can we add custom fields to the two inventory blocks. How do I refer to them respectively? The documentation only mentions about id and serial number and we havent managed to make it work with anything else, even with vanilla properties such as inventory type

    I am trying to evaluate Oracle field service cloud for the out of the box functionalities, its limitations and customization options. So far i know following:

    Features:

    • Activity Setup & Management
    • Inventory & Resource setup
    • Forecasting
    • Routing rules
    • Mobile application
    • Notifications ability

    Customizations :

    No real customization option available other than plugin which is just like calling outbound webservice.

    Limitations:

    • Limited to 04 entities only.
    • Cannot define custom entity
    • Cannot mention which services items technician is going to deploy on the customer site (e.g. Activity to Service Items relation: 1:M)
    • Cannot write script behind custom buttons

    Dear experts, please can you extend the list and also make corrections of mine? thanks

    Hi,

    We've written a plugin within our Inventory screens which we're using to search for stock, using the barcode scanner. Using the OOTB tool wasn't suitable as we need to provide additional validation on what's being scanned.

    I'm looking to see how we can take the properties we've obtained from our search and Return from the plugin into the Inventory Details screen, using the ID's we've found when searching. Is this possible? The documentation suggests it's not which is disappointing. 

    I found this thread, but not able to see how this can be done using the 'invid'; would it also change the backScreen parameter? If this could be done, could it also be used to return to 'add_to_deinstalled' screens should an item not be found?

    I created an activity but i can't add inventory in it. Inventory tab has not '+' or Add button. It seems like it is disabled. Please can you guide about the steps how to enable it?

    We need to pull inventory from the activity in mobility application

    In one of our requirements, we need to push all the inventory items to the mobility application so that when field technician logs in with his tablet he can see all the inventory which was part of the activity and also he can add multiple inventory items by himself. We are not sure if we can achieve this by using mobile forms or we need to build a plugin for this. For better understanding, Here are the exact requirements:

    • Supervisor will create an Activity (say A1)
    • Supervisor will ad inventory items (item1, item2, item3) required to perform this activity
    • Supervisor will assign a technician(T1) and Truck(TR1) to the activity. He can assign multiple Ts and TRs. 
    • Activity will be scheduled and dispatched.
    • Technician(T1) will login into the application and open the Activity(A1)
    • T1 will perform A1 and once A1 is finished he will open A1 in the tablet and there will be a screen(S1) that will show all the inventory items along with their prices. Sort of invoice.
    • S1 will also display technicians and Trucks that were used.
    • T1 may add additional inventory items that were not part of the A1 that T1 used for the completion of A1 but they were not part of the A1.

    At this point, we are not sure if we can use mobile forms to achieve above or we need to build a plugin for this? Please let me know if I missed something to clear the requirement so that i will add more info.

    Masters,

    I would like an help for a requirement.

    In creating an activity through the inbound, it is possible to put the inventories required to carry out the activities, but how do I make sure the recruiter has this material?

    Scenario 1: To create an activity directly for the technician it is mandatory that the resource has the materials to perform the same. If the feature does not have the material can not be created.

    Scenario 2: To create an activity in the basket, the scheduler can only route to the technician who has the material to perform the activity.
