Adding CRM No / ApptNumber in Inventory Extract
    Content:

    Hi All,

Currently in the daily extract, we can configure to pull custom fields mapped against the inventory entity. Is there an option to capture apptnumber field in the inventory extract? Currently we have to read the inv_aid & query the activity no to get apptnumber. It would be of great help if anyone can suggest a simpler solution.

    Regards,

    Shankar

Adding Model name at Resource Inventory2

    Title:
Adding Model name at Resource Inventory
    Content:

    Hi ,

We have a test case for which we followed the following steps:

    1. We added an inventory type : Weight which is non serialized .

    2. We added the required inventory( Weight) in each activity . The required inventory contained the following fields :

         a) Inventory Type       b) Model        c) Quantity(for eg. 50)

    3. We added the Inventory in each resource . The resource inventory contains the fields:

         a) Inventory Type       b) Quantity ( for eg. 200)

We routed the activity (enable routing by inventory considered) but non of the activities got routed with the cause shown as " field resource does not have required inventory ".

It would be be very helpful if someone can explain me possible cause of this.

According to our understanding this could be because Model name is not specified while adding resource inventory . Is so how should we add  Model name at resource inventory .

    Thanks in advance .

    Regards,

Adding Multiple inventories in Inventory type for non...Answered2

    Title:
Adding Multiple inventories in Inventory type for non -serializable inventories
    Content:

    Hi All,

We have a requirement where if the non-serialized parts are consumed by Technician, we need to integrate with ERP for generating a PO based to the supplier based on part description, category of part, supplier code.

To acheive this, I have created a part catalog and mapped all part description, category of part & supplier against that Part desc against that inventory type.

For example, if tech searches for  PVC cable, we show four types of PVC i.e. 2" PVC, 1/2" PVC, 1" PVC etc to select which type of PVC for the tech to select one of those. The details get populated & tech enters the quantity of the particular category consumed.

Issue which I am facing is if tech consumes multiple sub categories in same inventory type, for e.g. Tech has consumed 5 quantity of 2" PVC & 6 quantity of 1/2" PVC, OFSC show the latest entry i.e. 1/2" PVC with 11 no if we check on inventory installed in the screen. Also, I cannot use serialized inventory as quantity is always set to 1.

Would appreciate if anyone can help me in resolving this issue as it is a valid requirement in most of HVAC scenarios.

    Thanks,

    Shankar

    Adding Non-Serialized Inventory

    Hi all,

I have a requirement for adding 'Required Inventories' to activities in bulk using APIs. The problem I am facing is that, using APIs while I try to update the Required Inventories in bulk, its asking for the Model Number. In this scenario, the Inventory which I am trying to add has no such properties. Is there a way to add Inventory to activities without a Model Number? The API says the Model number is mandatory when we try to update the Inventory in Bulk. Interestingly, when we do individual update for activities to add the Required Inventory, the update is done even when we keep the Model Number field blank.

    Kindly suggest me some solution.

    Thanks

    Hussam

Hi Gurus, Please state if this scenario can be done. If yes can anyone elaborate in how to do it. While creating a activity the manager will assign few parts to that activity. And when routing those activities to a technician, is it possible for the routing engine to analyze the technicians with the same parts and assign it to the technician. If those parts are not available in the technicians inventory the routing engine should not assign that activity.

    Hi Gurus,

Is there any possibilty where, to a particular activity we can associate the equipments needed for the technician by default instead of adding required inventory and inventory during activity creation.

    Thanks,

Cannot create required inventory without model
    Content:

    Hi,

I created inventory types without specifying the model property to use, since in our context/business the model is not necessary. I checked that is possible to create inventory to add to the technician and customer/activity without having to define a model. However, it seems to be mandatory to send this field when creating required inventory via API in an activity, which is not the wish.

Is there any way to create required inventory without using a model property, just inventory type and quantity?

    Thanks,

    Diana Cunha

Customer Inventory is not being returned using the BLOCK Type "customer_inventory"
    Content:

    Hello,
I am trying to return a list of the inventory in the customer pool. I haven't been able to return any information in the messages using the following

    Subject:
    TestBlock

    Pattern:
The inventory that remains on WO# {activity_number} is:
    <BLOCK type="customer_inventory" >
    {inventory_serial_number}
    </BLOCK>

The block type is showing up blank (see attached screenshot: test_block.png)

Is there something wrong with the syntax I am using?
