    FCCS Periodic ViewAnswered4

    Title:
    FCCS Periodic View
    Content:

I have issue in FCCS Application, i have two integration rules in Data Management
    1) Data integration from PBCS to FCCS
    2) Data integration between EBS file to FCCS,

When i run any rule there are no issues in import and export data also i reviewed the monthly values and all values is correct in workbench screen.

In data management i tried to map with Global period mapping and application and source period mapping (same values in all cases), so i think there is no problem with Data management.
But after FCCS receive this data and Runing Consolidation rule, i found incorrect amounts for income statement accounts in all views except first period Jan (same values before run consolidation) . I loaded this data in FCCS_Periodic and FCCS_ Change in net income.
So for short we can say the data loaded to FCCS is YTD not Periodic even though i mapped in periodic view member not YTD input and the Source data file has Periodic data amounts.
So any one face this issue before or any one can advice.
Is there any missing configuration or any thing i did it wrong?

Also What are the steps that data needs to be translated to PTD in Data management in FCCS?

There are two attached files with screenshots.

    Thanks in advance

    Valid Intersection Configuration4

    Title:
    Valid Intersection Configuration
    Summary:
    Has anyone successfully developed?
    Content:

In my Test application I have configured our full set of specific GL Account & Department Valid Intersections (each "rule" is composed of the account, its associated "valid" department combinations, plus the years of 2018 thru 2021).  This is necessary, because we occasionally see invalid combinations in entity loads but have no way to identify them; the presence of them causes FCCS's Net Income to be incorrect.  Now I am testing and viewing available reporting.   As a test, I loaded an entity load file to August 2019 via Data Management that includes an invalid account/department combination, and expect to see this invalid combination when I run an Invalid Intersection report.  But, I do not, even when I create the report that include the specific "invalid" intersection.   Additionally, when I run an "open" report with no optional dimensions, I only get data for FY2015.   This makes no sense, since I identify only FY18 thru FY21 within the rules .

I suspect my configuration is flawed - it seems straightforward so I have no idea what is flawed.   I can find nothing in Oracle publications to assist me.

Has anyone successfully developed Valid Intersections in FCCS who can tell me what I'm doing wrong?   I have attached an excel file that shows the invalid combo in an adhoc plus screenshots of my configuration.   I appreciate any guidance.

Basic Balance Sheet hierarchy and alternate2

    Title:
Basic Balance Sheet hierarchy and alternate
    Summary:
Placement of alternate income statement accounts using Basic Balance Sheet hierarchy
    Content:

    Hello,

Using the new Basic Balance sheet hierarchy, works for client because they have more flexible on how to build out their hierarchy.  No issues with ownership management, overrides or data movement within the movement dimension.  Only unknown with the basic balance sheet hierarchy is where to place the alternate income statement hierarchy.  Unlike the traditional balance sheet approach,  FCCS_Income Statement is not present when the Basic Balance sheet hierarchy is selected so unsure of where the alternate income statement accounts should be placed.    I am leaning towards placing the alternate income statement hierarchy directly under the top parent of the account dimension,  Account.    Has anyone else had a similar situation at their client?  If yes,  where did you place the alternate income statement accounts.

    Thanks

    Pamela

Is documentation/instruction available, including form construction?
    Content:

Does anyone have clear documentation on how best to create FCCS forms for loading "amount" overrides?  I need to adjust USD values.   I tried building the forms using the correct POV, I inputting the zero into the entity currency column and input the incremental change into the Data Input column, but the results are wildly wrong.

See attachment showing specific details.   Any/all guidance will be appreciated.

Hierarchy Order in FCCS Account Dimension2

Hierarchy Order in FCCS Account Dimension
    Summary:
Hierarchy Order in FCCS Account Dimension
    Content:

    Hi All,
I have a question related to Hierarchy Order in FCCS Account Dimension.
A month ago I modified the order of "Income Statement Hierarchy" than the predefined order ("Income Statement Hierarchy" is above "Balance Sheet Hierarchy").
After last automatic update, I see the native order of the Account Dimension ("Income Statement Hierarchy" is below the "Balance Sheet Hierarchy").
In this way, I have a surplus because the Income Statement Hierarchy was created as shared Member in "Balance Sheet Hierarchy". If I have to respect the native order I need to create the "Income Statement Hierarchy" as a shared member.
    Thanks in advance,
    Antonio

    Content:

The Oracle Enterprise Performance Management development team values our relationship with our strategic customers, and we always look forward to opportunities to engage with a broader group on a periodic basis.  One of the best opportunities to do this is by hosting EPM strategic customer forums at an event that draws customers across all industries and geographies.  With this in mind, we would like to formally invite you to the EPM Cloud Financial Close Strategic Customer Forum on Tuesday, June 25th at this year’s Kscope user conference in Seattle, WA.  The meeting will start promptly at 9:00 AM and run for a couple of hours.    Breakfast will be provided.

Some of the key EPM cloud business processes for which we will look for your guidance and feedback during the meeting include:

    1. Financial Consolidation and Close
    2. Account Reconciliation
    3. Narratives, Reporting, Analytics , data management and other topics

While you don’t need to be a registered conference attendee to participate in the advisory forum, we do encourage you to consider registering to take advantage of the tremendous content being offered, including the EPM Sunday Symposium.  More information can be found here: KScope19.  As a third-party conference, we do not have the ability to waive conference fees if you wish to attend the full conference.  However, there are many discount codes available through our partners, and/or check here if this applies to you.

And now, the fine print….Please note that we have limited space available for the advisory forums and we are nearly full. So if you are interested, please do not delay in contacting  annette.barbieri@oracle.com directly.

As always, thank you for your continued support of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management, and we hope to see you in Seattle.
