How to orchestrate a sales order without GOP.3

How to orchestrate a sales order without GOP.
    Summary:
Please share necessary steps for orchestrating a sales order without GOP.
    Content:

    Hi All,

Need inputs on how can we schedule, reserve, pick, ship... basically orchestrate a sales order without enabling GOP( No Sourcing Rule, Assignment set, ATP Rule...).

Whenever an order is submitted, scheduling fails with "The item passed to order promising was not found in any organization. Verify the item definition. (DOO-2685268)"

I tried creating a custom orchestration process with manual scheduling, but still getting the same error when scheduled manually. Please advice.

    Regards,

    Zia

    check on-hand availability
    Content:

    Dear all,

Currently, SI is deploying Order Management Cloud and they got issue with check on-hand availability within an inventory organization.

Can you help us how to setup this function works like that: we just want to check on-hand availability within one org. We have multiple orgs which have FG. But when creating SO, we just supply from one org and we want just to check on-hand at the supplied org.

    Thanks so much,

    Huyen

    Summary:
How to Run Oracle Global Order Promising Cloud with an On-Premise Order Management Solution
    Content:

Starting with Release 13, Oracle Global Order Promising Cloud can schedule orders for order management systems other than Oracle Order Management Cloud. These include on-premise solutions such as E-Business Suite and JD Edwards, as well as 3rd party ERP systems. Here’s how it works.

    Order Capture and Scheduling

Prior to order capture, the eCommerce, quoting or other order capture solution calls GOP Cloud via a web service to check availability for the items that users are considering purchasing. GOP Cloud responds with a set of supply alternatives that a user can select.

As orders are placed, they flow into the ERP solution’s order management module, which calls another GOP Cloud web service to schedule them. GOP Cloud nets the scheduled quantities from available supply. Meanwhile, the ERP solution updates the scheduled delivery date, scheduled ship date and shipping location for each order line based upon the web service response.

    Order Fulfillment and Supply Update

The ERP solution ships from stock, triggers manufacturing or raises a purchase order to fulfill the sales order. It also processes inbound shipments, inventory transfers and manufacturing work orders.

Periodically – typically once a day – the ERP solution uploads refreshed information about on hand, in transits, POs, manufacturing work orders and other supply sources, as well as order status (to account for orders that have been shipped) to GOP Cloud via flat files. GOP Cloud reconciles any differences in its in-memory supply balances, and removes shipped orders from its order backlog.

The ERP solution also periodically uploads reference data updates to GOP Cloud, including new items, shipping locations, suppliers, transit modes and lead times. These are also sent via flat files. The synchronization process is one way, so the ERP solution is always the master data source of truth.

    Rescheduling

If major supply/demand imbalances occur, or the company wants to alter its fulfillment strategy for other business reasons, order promising administrators can use the GOP Cloud UI to reschedule previously scheduled orders. They can change sourcing locations, revise business policies (allow splitting or substitution, for instance) or ignore reservations to achieve a better promising result. GOP Cloud exports the scheduling updates in flat file form, so they can be loaded into the ERP solution.

    Conclusion

This is just one scenario. GOP Cloud can schedule orders that are fulfilled in multiple ERP solutions simultaneously. There are no dependencies on other SCM Cloud solutions (such as Inventory Management), though hybrid configurations that include both on-premise ERP and SCM Cloud fulfillment are possible. Note, however, that pure standalone implementations of GOP Cloud are not permitted. If a company does not subscribe to Order Management Cloud, they must at least subscribe to Planning Central along with GOP Cloud.

Auto release item reservation from Inventory
    Content:

    Hi Experts,

I know when we receive order we "reserve" material from inventory,

but what if the customer doesn't show up to pick the item from the inventory,

is there any way we can auto cancel the order or release the item from inventory so someone else can reserve it?

i.e. something like if the customer doesn't show up in 3 days to pick up the items then the inventory will release the items reserve (or we cancel the order)

    Best Regards

    Yasmin

    OM costing items at 3PLAnswered55.0

    OM costing items at 3PL
    Summary:
How can we cost items shipped via 3PL
    Content:

We have 2 warehouses, one we own (internal) and another one managed by 3PL (3rd party logistics)

our own warehouse we can manage and reserve materials in there and as a result, we can cost the material moved from/to it so when they ship the material to customers we attach that to the sales order and offset the revenue accordingly,

but in case of the 3PL how can we do that? (i.e. how can we cost the material shipping in a different system?)

with known that we can see both warehouses via DOO and we can reserve materials in both using the DOO/GOP
