Hi Team,

I'm facing an issue while developing an integration.

where as integration monitoring, the value is provided. the same one is mapped to other connection request, for this throwing an error stated: Variable not found on the database.

Please find attachment of integration flow for reference. I will share the iar if required.

    Thanks in advance.

MySQL adapter cannot connect (needs JDBC jar?) Using On-Prem agent
    Content:

I have an OIC instance with an On-Prem adapter installed within my firewall. The On-Prem adapter works when I use the various REST and SOAP connections. However when I set up a connection using the MySQL adapter it fails to connect, saying that I should check the com.jdbc.myswl.driver. Following that advice I SHH'd into the box and found where location of the driver's for the weblogic server. I see the MySQL connector/j driver is already present (additionally, it already says pre installed on the GUI (underneath the adapter)). I verified that I can access the MySQL box from the box the on prem agent is installed on. The log files do not say anything interesting beyond "cannot connect" and to check if the jar driver is installed. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Display reference or combo box in table15.0

Display reference or combo box in table
    Summary:
Display reference or combo box in table
    Content:

I am developing a VBCS app where the data comes from a DBaaS instance. I access this data via REST API. Not sure if this is relevant but thought I'd mention it.

I have tables that reference foreign keys. The foreign key is a sequence number generated by the database. Obviously the users would rather see business values than these sequence numbers. I have created References that provide user-friendly values for the foreign keys. On detail pages I can use a list box to display the user-friendly values.

Is there a similar strategy that I can use for tables? I don't see a way to define which control is used to display a data field in a table. Dragging-and-dropping any of the controls from the palette is being rejected for tables.

Attached is a pic of representative page. The Group and Mapping columns are pointed to the references. In Development mode they show up as blanks.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Custom BOP issue while getting data from Database as a Schema Service
    Content:

Hello we have the following tools to work with.

1: Database as a Schema service

    2: Visual Builder Cloud service

We're trying to do the following.

Deploy a restful webservice created by the wizard available in APEX , deploy it , consume that as a business object in Oracle Visual Builder Cloud service.

So we can build an app around this object. In an older post it was explained to me that for these restful webservices created in apex (ORDS) we need to create a Business Object Providers to consume

such services. I've attached the code that we edited based on the link provided before as a reference point https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/getting-data-from-rest-services-into-oracle-application-builder-cloud-service

We can see that the webservice is called but no data is showing up in the Visual builder cloud service. We can get the data when we call the webservice in our browser and in apps such as SOAPUI etc.

I've attached some screenshots and also the sample code files. Can you help?

    Have a sample table test_state

    pastedImage_0.png

we've deployed this table as a rest service from the Database as a schema service Apex console.

    Hi All,

I am encountering the following error while trying to insert data into DBaas through ICS using Invoke stored procedure option.

please note that i have changed the data type into Varchar2(1000) and i did not make a difference

<fault xmlns="http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/context"><errorCode>OSB-380001</errorCode><reason>oracle.tip.adapter.sa.api.JCABindingException: Set object error. Error binding the value of parameter OAC_P_DAY_IN.

An error occurred when binding the value of parameter OAC_P_DAY_IN in the APPSDB.TEST_OAC_DAY_OBJ_PKG.OAC_DAY_INSERT_DATA API. Cause: java.sql.SQLException: Inserted value too large for column: "2018-01-23 17:46:50.165000" Check to ensure that the parameter is a valid IN or IN/OUT parameter of the API.

This exception is considered not retriable, likely due to a modelling mistake. To classify it as retriable instead add property nonRetriableErrorCodes with value "-17072" to your deployment descriptor (i.e. weblogic-ra.xml). To auto retry a retriable fault set these composite.xml properties for this invoke: jca.retry.interval, jca.retry.count, and jca.retry.backoff. All properties are integers. Inserted value too large for column: "2018-01-23 17:46:50.165000"Fault Details : <err:serviceInvocationError xmlns:err="http://xmlns.oracle.com/cloud/generic/service/fault"> <err:type>Set object error</err:type> <err:title>Error binding the value of parameter OAC_P_DAY_IN.</err:title> <err:detail>An error occurred when binding the value of parameter OAC_P_DAY_IN in the APPSDB.TEST_OAC_DAY_OBJ_PKG.OAC_DAY_INSERT_DATA API. what would be the cause please ?

Thank you in advance for your help

Can a JCS-SX application connect to multiple databases...15.0

    Summary:
Can a JCS-SX application connect to multiple databases (and perform select/insert/ etc)?
    Content:

    Hello all

It seems that JCS-SX is bound to one database schema in a multi-tenant database.

Question is, can a JCS-SX application connect to another schema in another database in the oracle cloud or is it restricted to use only that specific database schema?

The reason for this question is that we need to use JCS-SX and a database with several schemas and no pl/sql restrictions in terms of low level networking and file system access.

    Thanks
