Connectivity with database associated with JCS-SC45.0

    Summary:
Connectivity with database associated with JCS-SC
    Content:

I know JCS-SX comes with a Database schema.

Is there a possibility to connect with this database using local sqldeveloper. I would require host/port/service/username/password.

My earlier assumption was that JCS-SX comes with preconfigured database as schema. But now in JCS-SX guide it looks like we need to provision DBCS before JCS-SX. Which means I would get db details and then I should be able to use SQL developer to connect with it. Right

When we provision DBCS, we get complete database. We can create multiple schema in it. Which schema will get configured with JCS-SX.

Is it like JCS-SX will create a new schema when we provision JCS-SX and it will use that to create a jndi connection.

    Thanks

    Sanjeev.

    Select statement with DB2 connector doesn't return...Answered85.0

Select statement with DB2 connector doesn't return anything to map
    Summary:
Using the DB2 connector to connect to DB2 over port 446, select statement validates and generates and xsd but there is not outbound mapping.
    Content:
I administer a test and production customer managed OIC environment 18.2.5. We have an on premise connectivity agent that we use for a majority of our integrations. We have an AS400 that uses DB2 as our main ERP. I can connect to it successfully over port 446 (that's the standard port for DB2 on the as400 not 5000, shouldn't matter though). When I created an integration invoking the DB2 adapter using a simple select statement the it validates the query and generates the XSD, but the outbound mapping does not show anything to map to. Has anyone experienced this issue? In our Java applications we connect directly to the database using a jt400 jdbc driver. We had an issue with connecting to MySQL until I found a special driver and added it to the agenthome/third-party/lib folder. I tried to add the jt400 driver to that folder and restart, no fix. This is turning into a huge issue. On the old forum someone told me the DB2 adapter does not allow select statements, but I haven't been able to find that stated in the documentation.i haven't placed a SR yet because we have several open and I'm the only technical person to manage them currently. If I could find my own solution I'd prefer so that I don't clutter Oracle with tickets then become unresponsive.

JCS-SX:IS Reporting Feature (similar to BI or any alternative) present in JCS-SX?
    Content:

    Hi,

This query is in relation to the JCS-SX and its corresponding DBCS.

Is there any reporting feature available in the JCS-SX ?

Context:- We have certain custom tables in the DBCS and we might need to get a dump from them in a report format and send it or download it for review.

I know that that on a stand-alone JCS , BI Reporting is possible. Is there a similar thing available for JCS-SX? If not BI , any alternative method to report? This is one of the mandatory features that our client is demanding.

    Kindly Advise.

    Regards,

    Rashmi

ICS: Agent not showing in DB Connection Agent Confguration...Answered45.0

ICS: Agent not showing in DB Connection Agent Confguration after installing the On-Premise Agent
    Summary:
The agent is not showing in the 'Configure Agents' interface when doing DB Connection setup in ICS
    Content:

    Hi,

We are using ICS Standard Edition, Version: 18.2.3.0.1 (180419.0000.1063).

The connectivity agent group we created is visible in 'Agents' page, which has 1 newly linked Agent (ID: PLOACS.AGENT15700) as shown in one of the screenshot (ICS_AgentsList.JPG) after being installed on our server where the DB resides. I tried to create a DB Connection and when I scroll down and access the 'Configure Agent', it is NOT showing on the list as shown in one of the screenshots (ICS_DBConnection_NoAgentsFound.JPG). I have also attached the Agent Installation Log in case it might help. (LOG-cloud-connectivity-agent-installation.txt).

Any idea what could have caused this issue to arise? or anything I missed to setup?

    Thanks,

    Moon

    Connection Timeout in REST adapter
    Content:

Hi, I have a use case where I have to insert the data from BI report into the database. I have exposed the data insertion as REST service using ORDS. In some cases, the data coming from the report is high which results in the following error, 'An error occurred even before the REST endpoint could be invoked.[[java.net.SocketException: Unexpected end of file from server'. Is there any way to overcome this issue without limiting the data? Can someone please help me with this?

    OIC Mapping with DB35.0

    OIC Mapping with DB
    Summary:
    OIC Mapping with DB
    Content:

    Hello Experts,

I am trying to map the source/target parmeters which are coming from a Stored procedure and one of the out params is custom data object which I am not able to do and I get the error

"Drag and drop from a non-repeating parent is not recommended. Normally you want to map the individual leaf nodes. If you really want to do this, click on the target and use the mapping builder."

My SP is having the following definition

    p_person_id  number

    p_doc_type varchars

    p_doc is customdbobject

During the integration mapping with Rest API , I am able to map the request input parameters but for the response parameters I see the above error message during mapping.

Please let us know how to resolve this issue and map properly  if the out param is custom db object.

    Thanks
    Tarakant
