    Title:
Agent Installation Failed!! Error While Checking Version Response
    Summary:
    ICS Agent Installation 19.4.1.0.0 (191012.1400.31860)
    Content:

I seem to have run into a challenge with the ICS installation, i have created an agent group, proceeded to download connectivity agent, modified the InstallerProfile.cfg file, included the oic_url, agent group and proxy information. However, upon running the execution command (on windows 10) -java -jar connectivityagent.jar. It fails.

Upon examining the log, i found this error

Agent Installation Failed !!! Error occurred while checking version response. javax.ws.rs.NotAuthorizedException: HTTP 401 Unauthorized
    at org.glassfish.jersey.client.JerseyInvocation.convertToException(JerseyInvocation.java:1080)

I have repeated the steps severally, the credentials are correct and the error still persists. Any suggestions/ideas on how to manage Agent installation with Proxy?

Connection: The configure connectivity does not accept a local swagger rest api icw an agent group
    Summary:
How to setup a connection to a local REST api in combination with a running agent group
    Content:

The following REST api url (swagger)

http://localhost:8091/ords/hr_schema/open-api-catalog/empdep/ gives me all available methods for the empdep REST module in my browser

If I use the same url within the REST adapter connection (in the configure connectivity section) the url is not accepted while explicitely using my earlier defined agent group

Also the other options like "REST API" based are refused by the configure connectivity

If I setup my router using myipv4 and forwarding all requests (and leave the agent group blank) on port 8091 the configure connectivity is accepting the url

    http://Myipv4:8091/ords/hr_schema/open-api-catalog/empdep/ is accepted

How to setup a connection to a local REST api in combination with a running agent group?

    Connectivity Agent ICS Vs OICAnswered65.0

Difference between the connectivity agent execution
    Content:

    Hi Team,

I wonder how the connectivity agent of OIC is much lighter than the ICS agent .

ICS agent is almost 1.7 GB and OIC is just 140MB. What makes this difference?

Can anyone explain the internal architecture?

Is still the weblogic running behind the scenes for OIC?

    Thanks,

    Vempati

    Hello experts,

When we install a connectivity agent on windows system. Is it recommended to have a seperate VM for the agent or is it ok to have an existing VM where other windows services are also installed.

What are the pros and cons for having a separate VM.

    Regards,

    Downtime Handling in OIC35.0

    Downtime Handling in OIC

We encountered intermittent connection (2-3 minutes of random downtime) in OIC
    Content:

    Hi,

We encountered intermittent connection (2-3 minutes of random downtime like service not accessible) with OIC, which happens a couple of times in a week. It may not sound a big deal, but this is concerning on a production system, that some integrations are unavailable on that instance (especially there are activities triggered).

Aside from having error handling (integration level), can you suggest how to handle OIC downtime? I can see there's a 'Load Balancer' for every OIC service, any idea how to leverage on this context?

    Appreciate your inputs on this.

    Thanks,

    Moon

E-business suite business event is not reaching ICS
    Content:

    Dear All,

I am creating a HRMS Job in E-business suite and the same must be interfaced to HCM via ICS.

I have enabled the business event in EBS related to Create Job and I have built integration in ICS using EBS adapter to receive business events.

But when I create new jobs in EBS, nothing comes into ICS. The logs are showing 0 messages.

Not sure if I am using EBS event subscriptions correctly. Please Let me know subscription creation steps.

Request you all to provide suggestions. Looking forward to your help.

    Thanks,

    Nirmal

    Content:

    Hello Experts,

We have bought a trial cloud service account in which we are trying to use OIC to integrate with EBS on-prem.

But currently the download Agent is not allowing to download and raised the SR also but as per the oracle support they dont support the trial account for both subscription and technical issue and informed to contact the Forums.

So not sure if anybody has faced the same issue and what is the process of getting the download agent.

We get the below message when clicked on download agent

"Currently, downloading Connectivity Agent is not supported. Please contact oracle support to download agent. "

    Thanks

ERP and SCM Cloud Data Extracts to on-premise data warehouse

Need advice on best option for extract data from ERP/SCM Cloud to on-premise data warehouse.

Looked at BI Cloud Connect, but believe that requires a UCM Server on-premise. Which would mean a new license as well ?

Reviewed the Financials Data Extract (Oracle Support 2303683.1). This sounds like a possibility as it also mentions the possibility of using custom BIP reports through the ERP Integration Services.

We plan to have Oracle Autonomous Integration Service and would prefer to put extracts through that for visibility. However, I am keen to find a solution, relatively 'out of the box', rather than developing multiple extracts from scratch (probably unavoidable).

Would Data Integration Platform Cloud (DIPC)  also be a good fit? I think so, but think it is probably overkill for the simplicity of incremental data extracts.

Note HCM Extracts is another option for HCM Data, is their the same for SCM and Financials data?

While running the integration i am getting Error "No response received within response time out window of 240 seconds

Agent may not be running, or temporarily facing connectivity issues to Oracle Integration Cloud Service. Please check the health of the Agent in Agent Monitoring page.:Application Error

Is there any possibilities to increase the time out error time in OIC?

or this 240 seconds is fixed?

    Thanks in advance

Error connecting to application running on-premise, on same...25.0

    Title:
Error connecting to application running on-premise, on same box as connectivity agent
    Content:

OIC version 18.3.3 (but occurred in 18.3.1 and 18.2.4 as well)

We have a dedicated RHEL 7 box that our production on premise connectivity agent runs on.  However, the connectivity agent for our test environment does not have a dedicated box, and is running on a RHEL 7 server that also hosts the test environment of a coldfusion application that we integrate with through the rest and soap adapters.  In other words I'm trying to create a rest connection with the on premise connectivty agent, and the connection is to the same box the on premise connectivity agent runs on.  Every time I attempt to test the connection it fails saying connection refused.  I've tried the following

http://test.vikingdatabase.net (internal dns name which works from the production on prem agent)

    http://127.0.0.1

localhost (wont event let me enter that)

    945575-VikThorDev.pacific.lathamint.com

    All say connection refused.

The coldfusion application is internal only.  The application server runs on port 8500 but all connections go through an apache web server running on port 80.  If I enable local access to port 8500 through iptables (its disabled by default except when the request are routed via mod_jk) it works. However I do not want to bypass the apache webserver since that is not how we do any of our integrations nor is it how we do it in production (the test and production set up are identical. Only different is we have the connectivity agent rujnning on the test box, whereas in production it has a dedicated box).

I've also tried using http://test.vikingdatabase.net:80 but that refuses the connection too.

I know that the on premise connectivity agent is not running on port 80 so I don't get what the conflict is about (although I havent really looked at the diagnostic log).

Is there any way to get around other than spinning up a dedicated box for the test environments on premise agent?

Also, as a second question, I have tables created in the DBaaS that is used by ICS.  If I want to integrate with those tables, should i run another connectivity agent on the database box, or should I just use APEX?
