EPBCS Capital Module - Convert New to Existing Asset Process

    Hi There,

We've implemented the Capital module for EPBCS and were testing the "Convert New to Existing Asset" process and were surprised by the results.

When running the business rule, it takes all of the attributes of the planned New Investment and overwrites the Existing Asset that we loaded to the system from Oracle.

We would have expected it do something similar to Workforce's Associate Employee process, such that it would zero out the values for the planned new investment and reconcile it to the Existing Asset, and use the Existing Asset's attributes (service date, purchase date, cost, etc.).

For those of you closer to the Capital Module and its processes, is there a reason this was set up this way? Perhaps we are missing the reasoning for this.

Please let me know if you need any additional info.

    Thanks in advance!
