    Title:
    Subscription ID
    Content:

    Hi All,

When we generate subscription id for ICS will it be expired within 36 hours or every time ICS will generate subscription ID which will expire within 36 hours. So if a business is on off for two days should they deactivate and activate ICS?

Can anyone give more clarify on this please.

    Thanks,

    Dilip

      Dilip,

Not sure if you were able to address the issue stated above. All subscriptions created in OFSC will expire if unused for 36 hrs. If you keep polling continuously then subscription will be active. Couple of options you can look at.

      1. While the business is off for more than 36 hrs. you can perform periodic polling on the subscription to keep it alive.

      2. If option 1 is not acceptable, then you can look at automating the subscription creation if earlier one is inactive/unavailable. After the new subscription is created, you can update your request with the new subscription id.

      Hope this helps.

      Hi Ravi,

      Thanks for your response.

May I know what is the meaning of " "

If we are looking for automating the subscription will ICS regenerate according to the events.

      Thanks,

      Dilip

Every time your application/middleware start just sent to OFSC create subscription call.

If subscription with exactly the same parameters already exists OFSC returns back existent subscription ID, otherwise creates subscription and returns new ID

AS per OFSC documentation, the subscriptions get expired after 36 hours if they are not used. We observed the subscriptions got expired within ~25 hours.  Please let us know your thoughts on this.
