    Title:
    Search activity using activity id
    Summary:
    Search activity using activity id
    Content:

We are setting up the activity search (from Business Rules) and we have noticed that it does not work with the activity id (aid). Otherwise the search is functional even with custom properties.I searched the documentation

    https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/19a/faadu/configure-oracle-field-service-cloud.html#t_define_search_fields_for_core_manage

    https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/19a/faaca/dispatcher-activities.html#t_searchforactivity

and did not find any mention that it only works for certain fields or if it need some sort of extra configuration. Does anyone know how this works or can verify if that is not supported?

    Hi Vassiliki,

This data is cannot be used as a search criteria.
    FYI https://cloudcustomerconnect.oracle.com/posts/761c1efa42

I propose to use Core API, to search for recent (not older than 90 days) activities by AID if necessary:
    https://api.etadirect.com/rest/ofscCore/v1/activities/{AID}

    Regards,
    Zsolt

We were searching for a solution to be used from the interface for the users. So it seems this is not supported. Thank you

      Hi Vassiliki,

We accomplished this by creating a String/Activity property, then in "ADD" message scenario we add a message step that passes the value of {AID} to the property we created. With no blocking conditions in your message step {AID} will be passed to your property for all activities added.

Then in Configuration > Business Rules >  Search you will be able to add the property you created to allow searching by AID.

Thank you for sharing your idea! I just tried it and it works just fine for what we wanted to accomplish
