Procurement - Purchasing Agreements Real Time created reports does not show any data
when a user having only the Purchase Analysis role run a report created using the Purchasing Agreement Real Time subject Area the report does not show any result

    Hi Gurus,

You might have any suggestion on the issue that we have.

We created a Report using the Procurement - Purchasing Agreement Real Time subject Area and just assigned the role Purchasing Analysis to the user giving it also the Access to the Business Unit by (Manage Data Access) however when we run the report using this user no data was fetched.

We know that this subject area can be access by user with Buyer, Procurement Manager, Contract admin and Category Manager , but our requirement is for a user to access this report without having any of these roles thus we only assigned the Purchase Analysis role.

As we also checked Purchase analysis role already have the needed Duty role to access report created under this subject Area.

Note that when a user with Buyer role run the same report using the same criteria and all the reports display data so we think that this might be a security related issue but not sure what else to check.

Your inputs what to check will be highly appreciated.

      Hi Haydee,

This is related to data visibility setup, the user with Buyer role is able to see data as it has required data security privileges.

You may need to see the additional data privileges required and update "Purchase analysis" role with the same to get the data visibility, or you can create a custom role and inherit the role required. Once added you may need to setup right Business Unit Context as well for the users along with the role.

        Hi Senthilrajan-

Thanks for the response, actually Purchase Analysis role already have the duty role needed mentioned on the oracle document to access the Purchase Agreement Real time subject area. This is also the same duty role exist on the Buyer role.

I also read that this role was actually created for procurement user to have access to Procurement Subject Area report, that is why it is a question for me why it assigning this role to the user with BU access still didn't work.

Role required for "Procurement - Purchasing Agreements Real Time"

I hope you have assigned the User with right Business Unit contexts for this role.

Also register the user as a Buyer with right Business Unit access in 'Manage Procurement Agents' screen.

User was already assigned as procurement agent with the right access. And as i mentioned that duty role was already part of the Purchase analysis role

      Hi Haydee,

There are few additional polices available for Buyer role, see attached excel sheet for the details.

Also Buyer is a Job Role and Purchase Analysis is an Abstract Role.

Is there any specific reason for using 'Purchase Analysis' instead of leveraging the proposed roles for this Subject Area by Oracle?

You can also create a custom 'Buyer' Role and assign it to users.
