Requirements to get ready for the exam

    Hello everyone,

I am planning to take the Oracle CX Certification. From the Oracle website there are a total of 59 (From Getting Started to User documentations) documents to read. I am reading the Implementation guides as a start. Are there any tips on what topics should I begin reading on?

    Thank you

I had a quick look at the link and browsed to https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/service/18d/implement.html

Yes, I believe if you succesfully memorized this content you may be able to pass the exam as it seems to cover all topics. That said, it does help a lot if you have worked with the program. It's like a driving license. You can memorize the Q&A but it doesn't give you the years of experience. Having access to a test site will enable you to do some testing on your own to gain confidence and test different approaches as there are usually multiple ways of doing things.

Good luck on your test! :-)

It depends on the type of certification you are planning on taking. For technical implementation specialist certification you would need to read the technical documentation. It helps if you are familiar with PHP, SQL, JS and .Net and have used the program for some time.

If it's a functional implementation specialist certification you are after you only need to read the user manual and have used the program. There were no questions related to the sales functionalities within the program but everything else was covered.

You could try to get your employer to pay for a learning subscription which will give you access to the learning track and includes a free exam.

So depending on the type of cert. All topics within the technical documentation or all topics within the user manual.

Hello Sebastiaan and thank you for your reply,

I am planning to take the functional implementation specialist certifications. I have been going through the system and reading all the implementation documentation from the docs.oracle.com website do they help as well?. Hopefully, I can schedule for a test as soon as possible.

        Thank you

Yeah I have access to the demo.oracle site and I have been going through the screens and functionalities for a month now. At the same time I am reading the Implementation documents to go through the steps on the system. I find it hard to just read without seeing the system yourself. So hopefully I will pass the exam.

        Thank you! :)

Everything under the menu "Learning" on https://cx.rightnow.com/ is good information!

The certification test was written with the idea the taker had completed 1 to 3 implementations.  It is a hard test based on just studying the material.

Now with the 2017 Cross-channel Certified Implementation test they combined configuration and development on the same test so you have to study both areas.

As Carl rightly said, its necessary to have implementation and configuration experience real time to take this exam. Though its functional exam heard that there are questions asked related to scripting and all it seems. So plan and proceed accordingly.

Still do you have the OSvC certification available to proceed? since i cant see the 2016 certification in the competency centre link.
